I have a question re. early private scans. I’ve heard mixed reviews about them. I’m 6 weeks tomorrow but feeling incredibly anxious as both my mother and sister have had multiple losses. My sister has said she’s heard quite a lot of negative things about private scans…. Have people had early scans and how did they go?
I have had 1 each with both of my pregnancies and found both really positive and I used different companies for each. Both reassured us and was well worth the money and time.

I'm 22 weeks now and have been feeling the baby moving the last few weeks but today barely felt her and tried all the tricks to get her moving this evening and nothing works. I am not sure whether to call the midwives though as I know it's still early and probably just the position she's in. They did say I would start to notice a pattern from 24 weeks, so I don't want to waste anyone's time but also anxiety is in overdrive!

Advice needed please… going on holiday end of June for 2 weeks (booked beforehand, not sure how pregnant me is going to cope with the heat 😂). I will be 17-19 weeks. Swimwear - do I buy the same size and hope it will stretch or do I size up or do I buy maternity sizing?

Reached the point where it feels like someone has kicked me hard in the crotch so it feels bruised. Like you know when you've been cycling and that whole region feels bruised? Is this PGP?
What stage are you if you don’t mind me asking? I had this really badly a few weeks ago (maybe 22 weeks ish)
It went away after around 1-2 weeks

I’ve just had my booking appointment at 10 weeks and the midwife was absolutely lovely but when I said I was thinking of a c-section and my reasoning (severe hip dysplasia which causes a lot of pain) she didn’t really comment other than confirming that’s what I wanted, and when I said I was open to suggestions she jumped on it and said she could definitely arrange someone to talk me through options. Is that normal? Is there a reason why they wouldn’t want me to have a c-section?

Anyone got a weird vibration sensation bottom of the stomach? Can’t tell if it’s baby moving, my own pulse or what it is? It’s constant
I’m 25 weeks tomorrow! I feel baby kick normally and also have an anterior placenta

What a 24 hours! I passed a clot last night and had some bleeding. As you can imagine was very worried and was given an early scan (7 weeks) this morning. The news I was given was the opposite of what we were expecting - pregnant with twins!!!

I think we’ve felt all the emotions today - incredibly grateful and relieved but also very overwhelmed. Any twin mama’s out there that could offer some advice?? Twins do not run in either of our families.
What a roller-coaster, congratulations.

No, not all. Hypnobirthing is amazing and there's a lot of research to back it up. It's about working with the pain, reframing it and using your bodies own built in pain relief to work with it. They aren't anti pain meds at all, just giving another option. I intend to use hypnobirthing and gas and air if needed.
I’m sure it is, I wasn’t slating it as such, I just got really ‘do it without anything’ vibes from the Scotland book when I read it but I’ve found all of it a bit overwhelming. I have a pretty high pain threshold I think (I guess that’s about to be put to the test!). It’s not like I’ll be the first or last woman to do this. Probably not even the first or last on whatever day young JuniorDragName is born!

I know I’m probably overthinking but can you wear jewellery during Labour? 😂 I’m just thinking if they rushed you to emergency c section…I have a Cartier love bracelet that I wear all the time, I’d need to bring my mini screwdriver to unlock it…I’d rather not remove it. Am I overthinking? 🫣

I’ve been getting this for weeks and I’m 39 weeks tomorrow with literally no signs of him making an appearance so I wouldn’t worry too much 😂

If the pains become more intense and more frequent ring triage but otherwise it’s probably just round ligament pain or BH.
Thank you!! I really hope the baby stays in there because I have nothing ready 😂

at least my pelvic pain is easing up. It definitely feels weird going to the toilet so often though, it’s so out of the ordinary for me.

I just told my husband it was low risk and didn’t give him any more info. I had first baby at 36 and due second at 39. My low risk on this pregnancy is far worse odds than my first pregnancy- albeit still low risk. I’m guessing that age plays a big factor in the risk level that they provide!
This is what I should have done. I am a fool! He finally did his own googling and is satisfied.

Just dodge! I’m 36 weeks almost and my toddler is 22 months, he absolutely doesn’t understand despite my trying and often either gives bump a kick during nappy changes or plonks himself down hard on my knee for a cuddle and bashes bump. I guess it’s true what they say about second babies being resilient!
I'm glad it's not just me! Dodging is probably the only option, I do feel guilty sometimes but I think it's unavoidable to a certain extent when you have a toddler 🤷🏻‍♀️. Second babies better be resilient when they are entering the tornado of toddler chaos 😂 maybe I'm just overthinking it, when I was pregnant the last time, I was still handing farm animals up to about 37 weeks and the possibility of a kick never even occured to me 🤦🏻‍♀️😂

TMI but can you really not take anything for diarrhoea while you’re pregnant? I’ve got an upset stomach and HAVE to go to work tomorrow 😩

Anyone had to see a specialist for a thorough scan? 24 weeks and limited movements but I have an anterior placenta. The hospital are sure everything is fine but the dr said I should still be able to feel a pattern of movements or some significant movements by now. I had a growth scan and everything was great but got to have this thorough scan with a specialist in the next few weeks. Would just appreciate some reassurance!

This has been discussed before but for the love of god WHY does instagram insist on showing me stillbirth reels?!? (And miscarriage ones back in the 1st trimester while I was experiencing bleeding after my last pregnancy ended in miscarriage)

This morning’s one being weirdly specific, a woman who has 3 boys, pregnant with a girl who was then still born at 38 weeks. Guess who’s 38 weeks today with a girl after 3 boys…nice one insta 😐
Yep. I have this exact same thing and not ideal when I’m feeling nervous. I mentioned before but my bump has vanished. I’m just trying to tell myself that it’s because the bump was just bloat, water retention etc from the first tri. Then bam a tiktok about loss and it was missed as there were no symptoms ie very obvious ones. I feel like I can’t trust my body. I’m 15 weeks so no baby movements yet.

I got my pillow this early! My back pain has come and gone the whole time, I'm 33 weeks now and had way worse pain early second trimester than now. It's like my body keeps adjusting then it's fine
Agree!
@Hinchhater1442 get anything you’ll use for support out now and if you’re buying anything new, the sooner you get it, the better value for money! No point suffering.
But if you’re achey in the lower back watch out for a UTI brewing.
