@lilykestrel I'm glad you are seeking help. With all the changes it's already harsh weeks for anyone, try to be kind to yourself, I hope even if it's hard it all turns out into a healing experience in the near future and youe are able to enjoy this new chapter.

This is solid advice and is totally what I was coming here to say, @lilykestrel . Don’t underestimate the hormone changes and the impact that can have, and it’s all just very big stuff. I’m not trying to minimise what you’re experiencing, but it’s absolutely a time that otherwise well handled mental health can go a bit haywire, and I think we still live in a world where you think pregnancy is just supposed to be a happy glow and a few quirky cravings. It’s basically nothing of the sort! ❤❤

At the airport, away on our ‘baby moon’ and the internet is very conflicted about DEET. It either says it’s fine and better than being bitten (I’ve had bites that have needed pharmacy cream before) or I shouldn’t use above 50% DEET.

Lower % DEET products are readily available where I’m going (which I usually avoid and go for the mega strength stuff to eliminate the possibility of being bitten). Just curious about the hive mind to this!

Baby is 12 days old and I can’t stop thinking about having another..what’s wrong with me 🙈😅

happened both times after having a baby for me 😂

though this second time I’m less serious after csection and 2 under 3 😂
I’m such a sucker for babies! 3 under 4 just about killed me off, swore I’d never have another yet here I am...contemplating no5 (6 bwteeen us)🤣

I know this baby is our last and all through my pregnancy I was really worried that I’d never feel at peace with that and I’d always have that yearning for more.

he’s here, he’s perfect, but I’m absolutely done!🤣

my section this time was much harder and while I wouldn’t quite say I’ve got trauma from it, it was extremely scary, and because I’ve had two sections in less than two years my recovery has been harder too.

I understand the 30% shouldn't be a problem.

32+5 today! I’ve been drinking raspberry leaf tea this week but on Thursday night I started getting the most painful cramps, in 15 minute intervals 😱 I thought surely not? Is this it? Has the tea really worked this well?! Called the maternity advice line crying 🤣🤣 midwife asked me to take paracetamol and if it doesn’t go away in 1-2 hours to call back. And lo and behold it went away 😂 who said braxton hicks weren’t painful?! They definitely are for me!

One day ahead of you and I’ve been the same! Never had it last time but I woke up in the night with it and it 100% felt like labour pains. Been fine today! I really want to try everything for a spontaneous labour this time after previous induction at 42 weeks but I’m scared to start on anything as my husband is in Portugal for 5 days when I’m 37 weeks!

Before ours was born, mine blurted babys name out to my family in conversation about something once but they thankfully didn’t pick up on it I don’t think !! He also told everyone how I liked the name River, so obviously we couldn’t use it 😭 (though kinda glad we didn’t now, I think it’s fairly popular now!)

also had said ‘he’ instead of they/baby so gender was ruined too 🙃

Men 😂

It’s enough to drive you nuts! With our first he told my mil the name we liked, consequently gor used (not her fault) and we ended up going off it!! We had agreed to not say much this time round but I don’t think he can even do that so I’m back to the drawing board again

Erm guys I don’t know if I should be offended or not… I think I am 🤣

so someone I know sent me a video of a pregnant woman, who looks very large, saying “I hope my baby is comfortable” and then the video spans to “the baby” but it’s a grown man on a swing talking about how he lives in a 6 bed villa. Basically insinuating that the pregnant woman is massive. I also sent this person a picture of my bump yesterday where I look pretty big. Is she calling me large?!

am I reading into everything and being crazy?!

Does anyone have any breast pump recommendations please?
I’ve been looking at Elvie, Mom Cozy and Tommee Tippee electric ones x

I ordered the Ardo Melia wearable. They’re hospital grade and supposed to be really good. With my last baby I had a fraupow wearable which was also good x

See I’d assume they were calling your husband/partner a big baby 😂
