They’ve been doing it for months now but it never really bothered me until now. I think it’s just a cheeky puff here and there so not enough really to trigger the smoke alarm, but I’m definitely going to have to say something

I vaped (before I fell pregnant) and I think that’s grim and unacceptable and they will be violating the no smoking policy. Vaping is *probably* less harmful than smoking so the same *probably* applies to second hand vapour, but that’s not the point. Nobody knows enough about it and what it’s harm levels might be and it’s just not on. You’d be well within your rights to raise it irrespective of wanting to keep your pregnancy to yourself right now. I don’t personally have an issue with the smell of people’s vapes but I have an enormous problem with people thinking they can just do whatever they want when policies/laws/rules say otherwise, so Id be reporting them on that basis!
Is anyone getting a feeding chair? I really want this one for the nursery but it’s too bulky

husband measured it out today and I just don’t have the space with my changing table and cot too…any ideas for a feeding chair in a compact space?Having not measured anything yet, I’m thinking about one of those padded wooden glider chair things with the matching footstool, which I’m probably going to get off FB marketplace as I do have a carpet cleaner with a spot cleaning attachment that I can give all the fabric parts a good cleaning, assuming they’re not removable washable covers. That chair looks absolutely epic, though! I’m not even sure why I want a feeding chair when I’m hoping the baby will settle in one of those bedside cribs and I can sit up in bed to feed in the night, but I’m also thinking if it’s a rough night for everyone having options in the baby’s actual room where we can retreat to and MrDragName can manage a bit of sleep will be a good thing.Is anyone getting a feeding chair? And we had it set up for our second but again we’ve barely used it
for night feeds I just come downstairs and do it on the sofa or if my husband hasn’t gone to bed yet I’ll just do the first one in bed.
we’ve formula/bottle fed both times not sure if I’d been more likely to use it if I breastfed? Maybe
I want to put it on marketplace and get rid of it as it’s just taking up space now
I was so undecided if I needed a feeding chair with my first. Bought the IKEA POANG thinking it was cheap enough if I didn’t use it to not feel like a waste. One of my best finds I reckon. I wouldn’t be spending crazy money on one personally X
I plan to breastfeed and I wanted a designated chair that’s comfy and I can just escape to! But also like you said, if it’s a rough night, I can go to the nursery and feed there for a bit.
Ooo the one you linked looks super comfy! I saw the dunelm one you said but sadly it’s about the same size, and the oatmeal colour I like is sold out

We didn’t have the space (and im so sorry but so many nursing chairs look like they’ve been designed by people who make furniture for old age homes….) and baby was in with us for the first 7 months. I fed in bed or on the sofa. When little one moves into their own room - we had full nights sleep because we weren’t waking them with my talking in my sleep and my husbands snoring we then just got a compact rocking chair for reading bedtime stories, having a bedtime bottle and rocking to sleep.

We got a tutti bambini one, baby Skates number one is almost two and we’ve literally used it every night and still use it now to get him to sleep for naps and bedtime. It’s nice to have somewhere to sit other than your bed when you’re trying to get them settled. We have a guest room where my husband can go to sleep if he is being woken up but luckily he is one of those people who doesn’t need much sleep so he will support with night feeds
Anyone that comes at you for formula feeding can take a long walk off of a short plank.
I wanted to breastfeed and it didn’t work out, baby K is 14 weeks, 75th centile for weight, sleeping amazingly, never been to the doctors, never had a cough/cold yet and her skin is perfect. Plus I’m getting 8 hours of sleep and her dad sorts her at the weekend so I can get a lie in
. Breastfeeding is certainly a great thing and should be encouraged but if you decide to do formula never ever feel ashamed (for anyone on this thread not just you) - if baby is happy, healthy and fed that’s all there is to it

I formula fed our first and it was absolutely the right decision for us! I really struggled at first but figured out a few tips and tricks which I’m happy to share if anyone needs them.
Although I will say that while it’s true that some formula fed babies sleep through the night sooner, baby skates has done that a grand total of four times in his (almost) two years, and two of those times were for grandparents 🫠. That’s not to say he’s a bad sleeper at all, because he’s not! But we’re not a consistent 12 hours a night every night kind of guy.

I’m going to give breast feeding a go this time but am quite a quitter by nature when things aren’t going well, and have quite an anxious disposition so I already know I will throw in the towel at the first hurdle. In an ideal world I’d love to combination feed but I had this notion on my last and it didn’t last long as the formula was like crack to my babies and they both refused the breast once they got a taste of formula. I’m older now so the idea of sharing the feeding load with my partner is enticing but in reality I know it’ll be me doing the night feeds anyway, or awake even if he is doing them, as (ref anxious disposition) I am already having nightmares about him falling asleep while holding the baby 🫠
We don't have much space in our nursery so I know I need to wait until the chest of drawers and cot (when we buy one ) are in there before I buy a chair but hasn't stopped me looking!

I quit very quickly for my sanity with the idea of breastfeeding my second. I stressed so much about trying to do it with my first that I didn’t want to feel the same stress again. Both had horrendous tongue ties so that didn’t help !
I want to give breastfeeding a really good go, I’m determined! a nice chair would make me even more determined 
I even found a lactation consultant to help in case it goes pear shaped 🥲
