How many weeks did you all start to feel movements ?
First baby and didn't feel anything until my 20th week. I had a private gender scan at 17 weeks where she showed me that my placenta was anterior hence why I'd not felt anything at all.

Now I feel her constantly at 33 weeks 😂

Sorry another question 🤣 is it possible to ask for a water birth but I don't actually want to give birth in the water. I just want to be in it until I am pushing then I want to be on a bed 🤣 or does it just not work like that 🤣

Yeah you can do that! There will be a bed in the room as well. Not everyone loves the water or they tire of it or want stronger pain relief and can’t stay in the pool

AHH yes I didn't think about that. Epidural wouldn't be possible in a water birth would it.. that's a shame because I 100% want as much pain killers as possible 🤣

I'm not sure what your hospital is like but mine has a bath in each room. So if the birthing pool was busy I can be in the bath as long as I want. I can also get the pain relief injection in the bath but not pool (can't remember what it's called) which is also good.

Does anyone have any pregnancy pillow recommendations please? I was looking at the mumcozy one but OH thinks it will be too bulky in bed

I think most are bulky in bed, aren’t they? 😂
Seen so many joke tiktoks where the man tosses it out of the door the second the baby is here 🤣

I used one from asda last time and using the same again, but I didn’t want to spend loads on one tbh!

I never bought a pregnancy pillow and I was fine up til about 28 weeks and oh my god the hip and pelvis pain 😭 I have to sleep with a couch pillow between my legs to take the pressure off now. If I (ever) do this again it’ll be the first thing I buy 😂😂😂

25 weeks today, exhausted from a work trip and catching a 15 hour flight in 9 hours. I think I might die.

An alternative to a pregnancy pillow that I found really useful was a V shaped pillow. Less bulky and an absolute saviour post c-section either to support with feeding or just getting comfy.

I feel like I am in full on nesting mode 😬 I spotted a bit of dust on our skirting board in the downstairs loo this morning and ended up scrubbing the entire bathroom top to bottom at 6.30am. I did the same in the upstairs bathroom and in the en suite last week as well.

I've been itching to get the downstairs cupboard and shoe cupboard sorted so you best believe that's what I'm doing as soon as I've had my cuppa 😂

My husband will come downstairs and call me insane, he doesn't know how I can be SO energetic at this time of the day and then comatose by 7pm! Lord help him when I finish work in a few weeks and have all the time in the world to sort, tidy and clean!

With my first baby I don’t think I really ever experienced hip or pelvic pain? Especially not in 2nd trimester.. but this time I’m sure I’ve been dealing with this at least 20 weeks onwards it’s so painful 😭
Not sure if it’s just a second baby thing or that I’m more active because of toddler

Toddler has also been joining us in our bed for most of the last 2 weeks which doesn’t make things easier I think. Pregnancy pillow has to leave and I can then never get comfortable. I think I only had 2 or 3 hours sleep last night 🥲 going to either take a sofa cushion or rolled up blanket for between my legs to bed tonight 😭

Anyone else that’s suffering with calf cramp at night.. how long does yours hurt for after? I woke up about 4am 2 nights ago with awful cramp in my calf, yesterday it was fine but today it is SO sore, it hurts to walk and stand on it, if I point my toes out it’s really painful.. I don’t know whether it’s sore from the cramp or whether I should get it checked out!

Not cramp but I had really bad restless legs.
Magnesium supplement before bed and a weighted blanket on my legs helped. Magnesium helps relax muscles and stop spasms so it may help.

Ive not had calf cramp, but my feet are really painful in the night. My heels feel almost numb/pins and needles and it's just so difficult to get back to sleep after my 100th time getting up to the toilet.

Had my early reassurance scan today! I thought I was 8 weeks but turns out I’m 8+5 🥰 heard little baby’s heart beating, it was the most magical thing 😍

Yes, I had it bad around 24/25 weeks and it started again last week at 38 weeks but has eased of now (thank god!!) it also had all day lasting effects I could hardly walk the one day last week after it, I try and avoid stretching my legs out fully in bed as sometimes I feel the twinge about to cramp so I stop but but in the middle of the night I have no control 🤣
