I’m 35 weeks tomorrow and since last night I’ve had a banging headache which kept me up and hasn’t gone away with 3 doses of paracetamol or the little sleep I managed to get. It’s now travelled down my neck. I also feel sick and keep needing the loo. Anyone know what it could be?

I have been like it on and off my whole pregnancy so far, 30 weeks. Theirs weeks were I can barely keep my eyes open and will sleep all day on my offs and then some weeks where I suddenly have a little energy back.
Aww I'm glad it's not just me. I've never known anything like it. I am constantly having a nap.

I'm 14 weeks with 4th baby and I just cannot cope with the horrendous burning pain in my breast particularly my left one and its 100% worse in the cold or if I don't have a bra on. I cannot touch my breadt, if clothes rub on them it's excruciating. Any ideas. Never had this before. I wondered if it could be raynauds of the breast as I have raynauds.
Is it the whole breast or just the nipple? I get vasospasms of the latter but only post labour so I don’t know if it’s a possibility, but you can use warming pads to limit temperature changes - perhaps they could help even if it’s not that?

I feel like food is just ruined for me at the moment. I either don't like the sound of anything or I'll have a real craving, eat it and be so happy for the first few bites and then hate it and can't eat anymore. I just want to enjoy food!

I’ve had one done and was also sick before the time was up so rebooked. I was wondering what happened if the same happened again! Absolutely dreading going back, the drink wasn’t even bad but just made me so poorly after an hour in
I don't know if every hospital does the same but I really hope you're offered home tests if the same happens again. I felt so rough for hours after the drink yesterday.

Does anyone else’s baby have quiet days? She is still moving about, but she definitely goes through certain days where her movements aren’t as ‘forceful’ as others
yes, it doesn’t help either when I’m at work and I can’t always feel the movement because I’m in my feet moving.
recently mine has changed its pattern and I was a touch worried as I wasn’t feeling the movement at the usual ‘times’ but now it’s back to being active as such but at it’s different times (gone from an early mover to late mover - hence why I’m here at 4.11am 🤣)

Can anyone recommend a good non alcoholic wine? I love a glass with my roast on a Sunday and obviously haven't drunk since I found out but I really fancy a glass! I've tried one that was meant to be a good one from Tesco but it tasted like arse. Anyone tried any good ones? Don't mind if red, white or rose.

Just to chip in with the HV chat, the health visiting service is completely optional and you can opt out (and back in) at any time 😊 I did this with my youngest because I didn’t see the point 3rd time round, I just found them up helpful and often outdated with their opinions advice

Anyone’s slept employed oh not keen on taking time off after birth? Mines said 3 days 🥴 I said at least a week surely?? I have 3 other kids (not his) I’m gonna need some help at least for the first week, I can imagine school runs will be a nightmare alone!

Honestly there’s no real reason, which is what is making me unsure if to go ahead! Growth scan at 36 weeks went well and at that appointment I told the consultant that I’m struggling with rib/hip/back pain so they said they’d approve sweeps at 38 and 39 weeks and have booked me in for an induction on my due date! My midwife isn’t able to book an induction until 40+6, so it must just be consultants who can approve these early interventions in my area.
Interesting… I’ve also been told I won’t be induced til 41 weeks but also struggling a lot with pelvic and back pain so who knows if they’ll recommend something else at 37 weeks onwards..

Unfortunately the statistics have caught up with me. I had a 10 week scan this morning and the baby died at 8 weeks. I always knew that she had a miserable chance of survival, but I honestly thought I'd be one of the lucky ones. It wasn't to be.
So sorry 😔 I had a missed miscarriage, baby had died at nearly 8 weeks but I didn’t find out until my 12 week scan (was actually 13 weeks) so it had been a good 5 weeks. The brain is an incredible thing and that night I started bleeding, apparently it’s quite common once you find out for things to start happening within a few hours-days.
It was really light at first but I bled for I think 7-10 days (this was a few years ago) and baby finally came.
It’s completely up to you what path you choose, I hope you have some support irl xx

This scares me. I'm 29 weeks and suddenly feeling like I need to do everything now because we still haven't bought a pram or cot or car seat etc. I want to meal prep, and sort all the baby's clothes so I need to get moving soon.
I think it’s more the shock of going from forgetting I’m pregnant/feeling absolutely fine, to being like oh these are the third trimester symptoms everyone talks about 😅
Im sure you have plenty of time don’t worry, I haven’t dug our pram out of the garage yet or bought a car seat…🫣

I had a planned section with my first baby and it was the most positive experience - fire any questions my way and I’ll be happy to help!
I have had my appt through to speak to the obstetrician about this - is he gonna try and put me off??

Got a letter from my health visiting team that basically said ‘hey we hear you’re pregnant, congrats! Here’s a qr code if you want any information’

please tell me that means they won’t be coming round my house before babies born because I do not have time for that 😂
I got one saying they’ll visit after 4-5 weeks, so I’m definitely not having anyone over before birth!

After a bit of advice.

I'm about 5 - 6 weeks along. Woke up yesterday and had some very light brown spotting. Not worried as I know that's fairly normal. It was gone after a few hours. Woke up with the same this morning but now this afternoon it is now tinged with dark red blood and is heavier but not period heavy. I have no pain. I was going to call the community midwives just to see what I should do but they have closed for the day. No one tells you what's normal or what to expect so I've got no clue. Again I know bleeding can be perfectly normal. I feel like I'm being dramatic if I call the OOH midwife. I suppose there's not much they can do anyway. Do I just call them tomorrow, leave it? I don't know 🤷🏻‍♀️

I was told it actually depends on your insurance how long before you can drive. Some policies won’t cover you for up to 8 weeks post surgery, it’s not necessarily about how you feel.
But equally I’ve also been told it’s about how you feel 🤣

Are you always going to use water wipes or just for the first few weeks?
I think I’ll use them as long as I feel like her skin is delicate if that makes sense? When she feels a bit more robust and she’s a bit older I’d probably be a bit less worried about her breaking out from using other products

Slight trigger warning of infection and loss ahead!

Not sure what to do.. I’m sure I’m only panicking as I’m pregnant after a couple of losses/ scares but I’m 30 weeks and I’ve raging sinusitis and a temperature too. The baby feels like she’s moved less today but then I wouldn’t know as I’ve spent loads of it asleep and couldn’t manage any food, just water. I’m trying to work out if she’s following her normal pattern now I’m up but so far she’s moved a little but pretty quiet.. but is it just because I have been?! Google says I only have to worry about temperature in the first trimester but I’m scarred by some of the loss groups I attended where some of the poor women sadly lost their babies to infection at all stages.

Would you ring triage? Would you take anything for this? Is sinusitis at 30+ weeks a worry? 😭

Felt anxious for my 32week mudwife appt, cos that’s where stuff went wrong last time and we ended up hospital bound until he was born 11 days later. Turns out baby has too much fluid around her and I need to be tested for GD. I’m meeting with the diabetes team next Thursday and I just feel massively overwhelmed with it. I had my heart set on a water birth and I’ve just been concentrating on doing everything I can to keep her in so we don’t end up in NICU again & it’s all out of my control again 🤦🏼‍♀️💔
Try not to worry too much until you know what’s happening. GD on its own shouldn’t stop you having a water birth - you would need to be monitored but if they have wireless ones it’s still possible.
