I’m 5w, 4 days but the nausea is unbearable, nothing helps and it’s making me miserable ☹ I’ve heard it only gets worse… 😢

Ive seen these too. Such nonsense. I had plain toast for breakfast because I still feel nauseous despite my anti sickness tablets.

Side note: does water make anyone else feel sick? I'm trying to drink enough but it makes me feel nauseous.

Anyway back to those videos. I just don't believe them. I'm 35 weeks now and so little food would not sustain me for any length of time and I'm vegan so tend to eat a lot of fruit and veg. But it's about surviving the last few weeks now and I need more food than that.
I'm not a snacker usually but I've had to have a little something every couple of hours otherwise I feel like I'm going to faint. I try to snack on fruit, veggies etc but come dinnertime I'm feeling sick from hunger. Hunger for me is painful. It's not the usual hunger pre-pregnancy, I'm painfully hungry. I'm getting hangry and I've never had that before!

For me choosing between a section and induction, I also factored in my husbands paternity leave. With us only getting two weeks, I didn’t want to waste multiple days of that in hospital while waiting to see if various methods of induction worked or not, but I also didn’t want to go through it alone. There’s obviously other things too as other posters have mentioned, but my friend’s husband was already five days into his paternity leave by the time they got home with their baby after every method of induction failed and they then had an emergency section and had to stay in another night.
I actually hadn't thought of this at all. My bf gets two weeks and does have 1.5 weeks of holiday after yoo but it's still not much if I'm waiting days on end for the induction to work. How many days did you have to stay in hospital after it? I feel very nervous about having to stay in hospital myself when my bf gets home which is why I haven't been worried about a C-section.

34 weeks today and baby is still breech I’ve got until 36 weeks for her to turn before we start talking about a C section, I know she could turn anytime multiple times but I’m quite scared of a C section.

Wondering if anyone had some advice to prepare just incase I do need one or had a good experience? Just to put my mind at ease a bit xx

This is my favourite game to play daily 🤣
I think mine is a combo of increased discharge as well as a leaky bladder at this stage!

my midwife did say waters tend to have a slightly sweeter smell but I’m not sure how obvious that would be to an untrained nose!

Has yours been constant or on and off? Mine has been on and off so I haven’t gone to get checked but I don’t know if that’s the right thing!
They’ve been on and off too but quite constant today, I do feel like it’s just a leaky bladder as I can barely move without my pelvic muscles feeling like they’re ripping apart.. I might give it a day and then go get checked on the weekend if it’s still happening quite so much. The midwife I called today said it doesn’t sound like waters and if it was waters I’d know (it would feel like a warm trickling..!)

Seeing so many reels recently of 'what I eat in a day pregnant'. Starts the day with a lemon in hot water and piece of fruit for breakfast, snacks on carrot sticks until lunch when they have a green salad with a morsel of chicken. Snacks on nuts until dinner of a flimsy piece of fish with a single chip and a sad looking piece of lettuce. No mention of eating like this due to nausea etc

Fuck oooooffffffff. That isn't enough to sustain a child, let alone a pregnant woman. Just admit you've wolfed down a family sized pack of chicken tenders smothered in mayo and cheese because it's your latest craving like the rest of us and have a day off.

I accidentally slipped out firsts name to my mum and I could tell she wasn’t keen. Fast forward to when he got he she loved the name and said she couldn’t imagine him with any other! Probably why you shouldn’t share the names!

Question I'm hoping you can help with so I know if I'm being unfair... how late in your pregnancy would you say is ok for partner/husband to go abroad?
He's been asked to a stag do when I'll be 34 weeks or more (not had 12 week scan yet and think they are going to move my due date sooner), it's to a European city for a few nights. Do you think this is too late?

@RoseyThorney @Kaylarina i thought I was just being stroppy and overly emotional but the more I think about it the more angry I get 😂

Novelty when they’re a newborn and then nothing at any other stage! You know they’ll be the same people as well that don’t respect boundaries and come with coughs and colds because they don’t actually care about anything 🙃
Oooh definitely not being stroppy!

Be like me, I ended up moving country and just not bothering to tell them ;)

Hey hope everyone is doing okay! I was wondering if any of you had any tips for showering without getting a pico wet? Or just how to shower in general at this point 😂

I’m 20+5 today and had my covid+flu jab yesterday. Am I right in thinking that for some people the covid jab can cause vaginal bleeding? I’m sure I read that somewhere but I’m not having a luck when googling about that and pregnancy.

I didn’t notice anything yesterday and only noticed something when I could finally get dressed this morning that I had browny stuff in my underwear and having it now mixed in with any discharge.

Hoping everything is okay.. there’s no red flow or anything so I should just see how it goes right?
I almost wish I didn’t get the jab now but I never had issues with it last pregnancy 🫠

It’s probably nothing? But just something to worry about 🫠😭
I think the evidence of bleeding is limited to one study (proving a very small amount of women had bleeding/interrupted menstrual cycles) and anecdotal on the internet…
I wouldn’t just immediately put it down to that but remember there are lots of things that can irritate the cervix too so may well be nothing - I always think best to be checked anyway 🥰

I have to admit we were also v.happy to find out we were only having one. It's our first, but I don't think we could have coped with twins.
It’s such a tough thing to get round our heads isn’t it! You desperately want children but at the same time don’t want two at once

Thinking about my hospital bag. My plan is to exclusively breastfeed initially and then maybe start expressing in a few weeks so that husband can do some feeds. I appreciate it may not work so am planning to take with me a pack of formula in the bottled with the pre-sterilised teats like this Aptamil 1 First Infant Baby Milk Formula Liquid Starter Pack Ready to Feed from Birth 6x70ml - Tesco Groceries .

Is that ok?

Also do they give you a hospital gown to give birth in? I'm not sure I want to give birth in my own clothes, getting all sorts of bodily fluids on it.

I had quite bad nausea with my first and this morning (I’m 5+3) I had an episode where I felt like I was going to faint and extreme nausea. I’ve had twinges since I found out.
I had terrible nausea but ever remember feeling faint with my first….should I be worried?

Not always sweet. I was awful on holiday when I was about 5-7 weeks but it seems my hormones have simmered down a little bit. It was hard as I needed food to get rid of the nausea but equally didn’t want to eat as I was fed up of being sick
I’m glad to hear it calmed down for you! That’s exactly the same for me, being hungry is making me nauseous, but eating makes me sick. It’s like I can’t win

Looking for some advice!
Second pregnancy. Positive tests 28 and 29 of October. 100% had period first week of September. Cannot for the life of me remember if I had a period end of Sept/beginning Oct.
Midwife booking appointment next week.
How will she figure out my EDD considering I don't know the first day of my LMP. Can I request an early scan?? then have the 12 week 20 week scan as normal? Stressed!
Did you do any pregnancy tests before the positive ones? If not and your first positive was showing on the 28th then you (probably depending on your normal cycle) ovulated about 2 weeks before then? So you can work out EDD from then. If you’re wrong they’ll work it out at your 12 week scan based on baby’s measurements anyway

Snap 😂 my midwife each time has been different and I’ve seen the one im supposed to have once
I've only seen mine once at my booking appointment. She forgot to call me for my 16 week checks (which are over the phone and not in person). I text to ask if it was still planned for that day at 11am which was an hour after I expected to hear from her and she rang me back at 6pm the next day.

I also messaged when I had COVID to ask if there was anything specific I should do (have since learned that I should have had a blood test but no one ever told me that until 20 weeks) and she read the text and never replied or called me!

She forgot to book in my GTT test, called me a day before I was due in for a 24 week check to say she was on holiday so I'd have to see someone else on the following weeks clinic.

Have also heard from a few other mums to be in my area that she's just as bad with them so I'm not taking it personally! If I was a more anxious or worried person, I'd probably be asking for a different midwife but I'll just stick with her 🙈
