Went into hospital tonight for reduced movement at 26 weeks, I think my anxiety got the best of me after a hard day in work but I really recommend that if you’re worried at all, just ring. The midwives were so lovely, I was seen in less than 15 minutes and hooked up to monitors. Heard babies heartbeat and was instantly put at ease. Midwives explained baby was probably just in a awkward position/behind anterior placenta and it was nothing to worry about but we’d done the right thing coming in.

id been an absolute wreck before going in, weird tears down the phone but the whole experience was calm and reassuring - of course this was at 10pm, I bet it would be packed if I’d have gone at 2pm for example 😂

I have a work trip booked to Hong Kong when I'll be 24 weeks pregnant. Would you go?
I was due to go to the states when I was 25 weeks, I cancelled the week before. I was told the second trimester was a wonderful energy-filled experience but for me it was not 😭 I was exhausted and out of breath from going up the stairs, but everyone is different. I flew to Edinburgh when i was 28 weeks which was bad enough. Can you see how you feel nearer the time?

Not sure if this is even the right thread to ask this but just found out I’m pregnant this morning but every time I go to the toilet there’s a slight bit of blood and last night there was some but pink. How much implantation bleeding is actually normal?
How far along are you? Some bleeding is very common, it really depends how much and how often 💕

Just found out I have a wedding to attend at 37 weeks 😬 I’m not worried about going into labour (I always end up a week late) but I’m more worried about being super uncomfortable and tired, and what would I even wear! 😅

there’s some lovely maternity dresses on asos and SHEIN, hopefully the weather has cooled down BUT you don’t have to attend if you don’t want to! 🥰

When did you all tell your employers about your pregnancy?

With my last pregnancy, we told everyone including employers on the day we found out and I had a really negative experience with the way I was treated, which puts me off telling them early. But I’ve got my booking appointment at the end of the month and if I request time off they’ll just reject it, but obviously can’t if they know by then.
I told mine at 15 weeks. I work from home so no one suspected before then, I only really told them because I had to go to a team meeting day in person and I was still being sick ALL the time.

In really sorry you had a negative experience last time. Can they reject it if you say it's a medical appointment but don't disclose what it is?

literally only just found out. I’m only about 4 weeks 😊
Congratulations 😍 I’m sure others can advise if that’s happened to them but just keep an eye on it. I believe the guidance is unless you’re soaking through a pad, its nothing huge to worry about and EPU’s won’t take you in for a scan/check til about 6-7 weeks anyway. Hoping everything is ok for you

To anyone who has already given birth how was your mood just before? I'll be 41 weeks tomorrow and I just feel so down. Is it just from the waiting? Have induction booked for tomorrow but hospital hasn't contacted me yet to confirm what time to come in and tbh I'm not inclined to chase them because I just feel so down.

Hope everything is ok! Bleeding can be normal, I don’t think there’s a specific amount for implantation. However if you have an EPU they can do bloods for you. My local hospital criteria is being pregnant and bleeding, and they will do bloods 48 hours apart for you.

I felt like this as my due date came and went. I think I was so keen for him to be born and felt deflated the longer it went on. I stopped replying to messages from people as even if they were asking if I was okay it felt like they were asking if the baby was here!!

Fed up, in pain, excited, scared...
Toward labour hormones ramp up and we all react differently to them. It could be the increased cortisol/hormone cocktail perhaps making you feel like this.

There's a big hormone crash around day 2-3 post birth so if you feel really blue then, know it's hormones rather than 'real' emotions and thoughts and it will readjust after a few days.

Knowing this about day 3 really helped me rationalise how I was feeling as I sat with leaking boobs on the sofa crying that I just needed a snack 😂 it really was a wild ride of hormones (and still is 6 weeks pp to be honest!).

Yeah, they’ll reject it without proof. Even with proof if it’s a regular medical appointment they’d either reject it and say to rearrange for out of working hours (🫠) or take it unpaid.

That down mood is one of the biggest signs for me (and a known sign for others) that things are happening soon! Normally the day before labour for me so 🤞🏻 for you!

Thanks everyone.

I feel like I've managed the hormones well up until this point so hopefully this is a sign.

Definitely not looking forward to the pp hormones. Hoping my OH also remembers it's just hormones and not me!

I just booked my induction for when I’m 40 weeks today and totally get the down feeling. I feel like there’s so much I want to get done but between being pregnant and now having a big bump to lug around, I just don’t have the energy ☹

Trying to tip away at what I can manage but it’s wrecking my head that there’s days where I just can’t do much at all

I'm really worried about the pp hormones. I've had some days so far where I've been really down and cried almost all day. I'm feeling really anxious about how ill feel pp. I'm also still heavily grieving for my sister who died last year, and knowing she won't ever meet out baby has been extremely difficult to deal with throughout pregnancy so far.

as others have said it depends on how you feel / how your pregnancy is going.
But I flew 3 flights in August in 1 day to get to my father in laws in the states. (1 8.5hr flight, 2x 1 hour flights) and return 10 days later another 3 flights (cheap last minute deal lol)

Airline was happy as long as I was under 28 weeks I was 24/25 when I came back.
Wore compression socks the entire time, drank plenty (and pee’d plenty too 😅), moved about best I could and stretched and walked circles around the airport whilst waiting.

it knackered me but was worth it to get to see the in laws before baby comes.
Just my experience recently 😊 - it’s honestly down to how you feel!
