Possibly the certificate that entitles you to free prescriptions? That's the only thing I can think of that I got at about that time.
Yes I think you are probably right! I was expecting that. Thank you! It needs a more descriptive name? 🤣

I just ordered a first baby item from H&M, don’t even know if it’s useful (probably not? 😂) but it’s gonna be a winter baby and this is just too cute. 🥺
I love this! I’m sure I’ve got this saved in my basket but haven’t bought it yet because I have a blue one I actually bought for a friend then never got round to giving her it, so I’ve kept it incase we have a boy. I just love white on a baby though so might need to get it!

I’ve had my baby now but was the same for me when I was pregnant, a cost saving thing apparently. I wasn’t keen on the idea tho so I’d always take a couple of pots from the box every time i had an appointment or scan
I also have a blood pressure cuff and a monitoring band from when I went in to be monitored last week.

Sounds like the Nuna Triv or the new bugaboo would be good for you. We liked both of them as they’re lightweight and fold up small. I wouldn’t worry about a bundle, we bought our stuff all separately because it worked out cheaper from John Lewis. Either way you’ll need the pram, bassinet and pram seat for when baby’s bigger. I’d definitely recommend a JL or Mamas and Papas appointment? I’d have had no idea where to start without that
Thank you! We don’t have a JL or MP near us so I think we’re going to have to drive up to a couple of hours or so somewhere one day 😵💫😂

I’ve 2 cabin size suitcases packed, one for me and one for baby. I’ve a backpack packed also with a mix of stuff in case of a longer stay.
All 3 will go in the car and we’ll take them out as needed.
I'm doing pretty much the same. Plus a massive bag of snacks and Mr B will have his own little holdall too.
I say this but at 37 weeks I've only just managed to finish packing my bag, and the thought of packing babys is making my brain melt 😅

It’s a shame we mere mortals can’t affiliate link. Annoying that influencers can make bank for these things, I’d much rather take recommendations from you guys!

On that note, I got a cheap scar plaster tape from Amazon this time for my C-section incision. It’s working really well, no itching or tightness so far. I’ve said it many times but it’s my No1 recommendation for anyone having a section.
My previous incision is barley visible at all and the new one is going to same way.
Ooh which one do you use? I never knew they existed until recently. I saw people talking about the Fridamom ones but they’re so expensive

last time I did scar massage which I think definitely helped!

For the ladies that mentioned it a while back, I just read that feeling your pulse/heartbeat can be a sign of low iron.
I have super low iron post c section, I dropped to a heamoglobin of 7, trust me low iron is no joke post birth but if I felt like this when pregnant it would be a million times worse. Thankfully never had low iron when pregnant so ladies please do try to get your iron checked..

Pregnancy insomnia tips anyone? I've been awake since 2.30am and it's not after 5am. Luckily I work from home so I can probably have a nap over lunch or something but this isn't fun at all.
I've had this on and off for a few weeks too. Luckily I also WFH but tried to not nap but it's very hard.

Im usually kept awake by tendonitis which I have in my hip - is it pain/discomfort keeping you up or just your mind wandering?

I’m 14 weeks today and since last night I’ve started having very, very slight browny-pinkish discharge. It’s not super obvious when I wipe but I know it’s there on the tissue. Google says I should be fine but with my loss history it doesn’t stop me from worrying… has anyone else experienced something similar at this point?

How do I get rid of all the miscarriage/baby loss content on my insta? It’s giving me so much anxiety esp since having a loss last time 😣
The algorithm seems to know I’m pregnant and is feeding me so much of this!
If it TikTok you can hold down and click not interested. You can also block certain words also which I did but tbh, it still comes up. I ended up deleting TikTok my first 10 weeks!! X

Firstly, I'm glad I found this thread as I really wanna moan to other preggos about how bloody hard it is being 37 weeks pregnant with a 23 month old 😭 Constantly feeling like a shit mum when I only take her out once a day, we usually walk over to the beach in a morning then have a gentle at home arvo playing and watching films but I'm trying to not let mum guilt get me as we are having cuddles and she seems happy but I'm so tired haha

Also, has anyone on here been offered the new RSV vaccine? I'm booked in for it next Friday. I can see positives as it claims a reduction of brocilitis by 70% in the first 6 months but just curious on other views?
Always a bit risky asking about vaccines isnt it 😅 my daughter had all hers and ive had whooping cough one etc

I was put under, was not the plan but they tried two spinals and neither of them worked. The first one didn’t work at all and they said they’d have to put me under, I asked them to try again and they brought in the consultant, his didn’t work either, so as he said there is no plan B if it fails yiu have to go under. I found it very traumatic as it was my biggest fear that I wouldn’t wake up. Was totally unprepared for it as never even crossed my mind it was a possibility. Freaked out a little before they put me under as was sure I’d never see the baby and would not wake up. Wish I had known that it might be a chance however remote. That aside, I was a tricky case as have a very large fibroid so there was a big concern about bleeding, they had me crossed matched and blood on stand by before they started so that was worrying so in hindsight the fact I was asleep probably made it easier for the surgeon (I had two including the head of obstetrics) to keep everything under control, didn’t bleed too much in the end. My section was planned but my waters broke so had a section two weeks sooner than planned. When I spoke with the surgeon she dud say that it probably was better given the bleeding that I was asleep. It has taken me a few weeks to come to terns with the general, I kept crying every time I thought of how scared I was and my only wish was that I wish I knew it was a possibility and I could have prepared myself. The recovery was a breeze though, first twelve hours were not good but had a morphine pump and then just paracetamol and difene. So while my experience was initially terrifying the outcome was really positive
Awww thank you so much for sharing this. That sounds absolutely horrific :( somebody I know has opted for this and even though it’s her choice I just think it’s crazy the hospital have agreed. X

I just looked at the contents, looks like it’s worth about £30 tops 🤣 it’s all sample size stuff! It’s got good stuff in though, SDJ bum bum cream is always a winner
Honestly would love to see where they got the £180 🤣 yesss love the bum bum cream it smells so good!

Is anyone else just absolutely melting? Is this normal? I’m 31 weeks and it’s 20 degrees here right now, I’ve just sat down for dinner and broken out into full hot flash and sweat mode. I know it’s normal to be hot but I am honestly waking up dripping in sweat and on and off throughout the day unless I’m near a fan and/or just sitting still 😭

I thought I was getting this but my appointment today they told me baby was transverse. I keep feeling so heavy when walking and I’m constantly getting jabs like a hand or foot is about to poke out but I guess it can’t be that low yet 😂
how many weeks are you? It gets too confusing towards the end! Walking is the absolute worst at the moment😂

Does anyone have any bra recommendations please?

I did have some Amazon nursing ones years ago but they didn’t give much support, I’m a 30H for reference.

I’m 25 weeks so anything that would last through the pregnancy/postpartum would be amazing.

I’m 9 weeks and 6 days and currently on holiday. I’ve had no morning sickness this morning. Should I be worried? Yesterday was a travel day and I felt sick but wasn’t. Other than that I’ve been sick in the morning every day since i hit 6 weeks

Has anyone ever been to the Mamas and Papas outlet in Huddersfield? Trying to work out if it's worth a trip there or not.
I was wondering the same! I think I’m probably past the point of it being useful for me now since we have all our furniture and pram etc

I'd been waiting for it to come back in stock at John Lewis so we can do our big bulk order using the baby appointment discount, but I was gonna set a deadline of this Friday to order without it and pay full price elsewhere.
Now I just want the ergobaby wrap and the wedge shaped changing mats to come back in stock at JL and I can finally get our travel system ordered 😅
I was doing the same and just got this email! Weird! I got that knock off one from Amazon in the end

Which one did you have? Mine came back quicker both times but just landed in my inbox, no warning. Maybe check your junk if they’re emailing?
