37 weeks and omg the lightning crotch and pressure I’m feeling is on another level! Didn’t get it this bad last time. Midwife said yesterday that he is engaged and really low now! Not sure I can wait to 40 weeks😂
I thought I was getting this but my appointment today they told me baby was transverse. I keep feeling so heavy when walking and I’m constantly getting jabs like a hand or foot is about to poke out but I guess it can’t be that low yet 😂

Is it normal to feel twinges of (very mild) pain in your uterus? I feel twinges and I also feel very mild cramps, kinda the feeling you get the day before your period is due. I’m 25.5 weeks. I googled and it says it’s not unusual to have Braxton Hicks this early which seems a bit crazy to me. I can feel baby moving but it’s sometimes more “painful” than other times.

I saw once on the 4D scan but only probably because I already knew, they pretty much stuck to the face at ours. I think it’d be easily avoided if you explain x
Thank you! Yes will definitely explain, I’ve had 2 nhs scans since our 20 week one and both times they let us know when they were scanning further down baby x

I didn’t get to see anything on the 4d scan, like all of our scans baby was rolled up so couldn’t see anyway but she told us to look away when she was checking the legs just incase we saw anything. I kept trying to peak!
oh I couldn’t peak! We’ve gone so long without finding out I think I’d be gutted if I saw anything 😅

Did anyone else wake up one morning around 24 weeks and just feel like they were on the cusp on anxiety attacks?

I’ve woken up this morning feeling like a bag of nerves, on the edge and just ready to cry. I don’t know where it’s come from. I’ve been feeling baby move but not as much as previous days which I’ve read is normal at this stage so I don’t know if that’s brought it on but my time for calling in sick for work has passed or I would have rang in by now :/
This is how I'm feeling! I just feel so squirrely and tense - there was a minor work issue that wasn't at all my fault but I thought I was going to suddenly start crying even though I didn't actually feel upset at all!

Still not had any results back from my GTT on Thursday, I take it no news is probably good news. Have my midwife appointment this Thursday if there’s still nothing I’ll need to ask her.

We didn’t find out with our first and having a second surprise this time too. My husband telling me she was a girl was the most magical memory ❤

Never had one and dreading it. I saw my brother have one as a child in his foot and honestly I don't think I've recovered from his screams getting it in and stinging when they injected certain things into it.
Are you okay with blood tests? They’re not too different (other than a cannula generally goes in your hand). Once it’s in you generally aren’t even aware of it, other than the annoying tape etc!

it is a lot more difficult to put a cannula in a child as their veins are smaller. My eldest had one as a newborn and screamed, whereas one of the twins had one and was completely unaware of it happening.

if you’re really worried tell them! They might be able to use numbing cream xx

Does anybody have any recommendations for a baby carrier? Will be used mainly by my husband but going to look on vinted for something second hand. He does a lot of walking/hiking

Did anybody get the John Lewis new partner box? I had a voucher so ended up spending over £120 and got the box for free if you’re a member. Not sure how they value it at £180 though will see when it arrives!

Does anyone know of any good must-have lists that include the amount of things you need? Like I don’t know how many bottles I’ll need? Sleeping bags? Vests?? #overwhelmed x

Those leggings were amazing but don’t fit me :( the legs are really baggy on me, my stick thin legs have no chance. In the S/M as well. I’m gutted as the quality for £10 is insane.
Oh no that's so disappointing 😞 I wonder if you got a dodgy pair maybe as I've got proper scrawny chicken legs and they're okay on me.

Those Hollister joggers though honestly I nearly cried with happiness at how comfy they are hahaha, but they'll only be for around the house.

Nothing wrong with iron tablets but they can affect the bowels. Spatone is an alternative. Take with vitamin c to increase the absorption.
If you have a c-section particularly you’ll want to make sure your iron levels are good going in as the blood loss can cause anemia.
My iron was great pre section, 13 plus but dropped to 7 post section. 7 weeks later it’s back to 11

We had our 20 week anomaly scan today. It was so amazing seeing baby's face and the little hands and feet! I am still feeling so impressed that we actually saw our baby's brain! We collected our Emma's Diary bags from Argos on the way home and they're actually better than I was expecting.
how do you get these! I have the app but no idea how to claim them

I need a new mattress for our next to me. We have the one we used from my son, but I don’t even know what it is, my MIL bought it so think it’s a Babylo. Where’s the best to get a mattress and is there anything specific it needs to be? Do they tend to be the same sizes? Will need to get it up and measure it.
