Has anyone been prescribed cyclizine for nausea? I was prescribed 1 tablet 3x a day. But today I’ve been so drowsy feeling, I’ve been unable to do any work at all! Does say on the sheet inside the box that it can cause drowsiness. I don’t know what’s worse, the nausea or the drowsiness!

Omg I woke up in the night with the most horrible cramps in my lower leg. Turns out this is a pregnancy thing?! Whyyyy it hurts really bad
Used to get them soooo badly, they’ve disappeared the last few weeks of pregnancy though for me weirdly. Massage the bit where it goes hard and it will make it disappear! I got to the point where I would wake up AS it was going hard and cramping and be able to stop it before it actually started by doing this

Plus they grow out of things so quickly! I think I spent about £70 the other week and got 60 sleepsuits/vests, 6 pram suits, 7 hats, 5 or 6 cardigans (all next and all in various sizes) and then a few bits for my toddler and some maternity tops. That would get me a max of 4 multipacks full price in next.
(I swear by next baby clothes if anyone needs a recommendation, the quality is amazing, there’s tons of it on Vinted and i find it washes and tumble dries really well. My toddler has always been able to wear next stuff throughout the age range - so 12-18 month top and legging set would fit for 6 months even being washed and tumble dried regularly. It is a bit more spenny than other brands but i found after 3/4 washes the Tesco/primark etc stuff would shrink and wouldn’t fit anymore)
How do you find the bundles? I could end up spending as much on the postage 😩

Having a brain blank - how many clothes in newborn and 0-1 do you think I should get? My toddler fit in her clothes until the top end of the age range pretty much consistently (I.e grew out of 0-3 at 3 months, 3-6 at 6 months etc) but I can’t remember how many bits I had in the first few sizes!

Is growing pains and all meant to be hurting near your ovaries here and there? It’s like the right hand side and has a sensation and I have no idea what it could be. Scared for the worst but praying it’s just growing pains as I’m only 6 weeks

Does anyone have any pregnancy pillow recommendations? Currently 13 weeks with number 2 so looking to get one in the next month or so. Had a fairly cheap one for my first baby and it wasn’t that great or supportive so don’t mind spending a bit extra for something decent this time
I was influenced and bought a Bellamoon and I do love it but I doubt it's any better than the others on the market...or a bog standard firm pillow for that matter. Luckily I can use it as a feeding pillow / tummy time aid so that's how I justify it to myself 🫠

I'm currently 14+6 and I'm sure I can feel baby moving about. Trouble is I had the weirdest phantom kicks the whole time since having my son (he's nearly 2 and a half) and I don't know if it's those again or new baby is actually moving ☹ Anyone else experience the same?

My midwives don't do home visits - the health visitor is definitely at home. I get why they do home visits but the thought makes me just incredibly anxious so I'd rather they just buggered off. My current plan is to just do the first one and then sack them off or see them in their clinic if I really can't sack them off.

The anxiety I'd feel from having them in my house will far outweigh anything they can offer me to be honest 😅 I really don't like my space invaded. The reviews of my local health visitors (from women I know who have had babies) are far, far from glowing or being remotely positive. Just apprehensive at the whole thing, especially an antenatal visit. Feels pointless.
Oh that’s literally the complete opposite of here, it’s weird how different it is! I think it’s completely fair enough and I’m sure if you explain your reasoning they’ll be fine with it. Worst case offer to pop to their clinic once in a blue moon - literally, we had a 14 day appointment, a 7 month appointment, a 14 month appointment and a 27 month appointment. I did see them more but that’s because they w re quite helpful! Routinely there’s minimal appointments so you shouldn’t even have to go to the clinic that oftrn

My first pregnancy was like this-my body started expanding as soon as I peed on the stick, had to come early from our baby moon as the rib pain was so bad. Stupid q but have you tried a bath/heat pad/hot water bottle/ice? The rib pain is fairly normal especially if you’ve a kicker but maybe check in with a midwife about the shoulder pain
I've been absolutely fine up until this week so it's a bit of a shock to the system 🙈😂 I tried a bath last week but couldn't get comfy, I think I need one of those bath pillows haha. I'm going to try again tonight. I think I need to try an ice pack as well. The ribs are just aching but the shoulder is sharp pain and a dull ache. Paracetamol has just muted the pain a bit but it's not fully gone if that makes sense.

Get a prescription for Omeprazole ASAP it’s life changing to your quality of life with bad reflux. Wish I got it sooner, I just copied on rennies and gaviscon constantly uncomfortable until I was in the third tri and kept choking on my acidy sick in the night 🤢 then I was like whyyyyy did I not get this when I was 10 weeks when I went on omeprazole 😂
That's what's happening to me in the nights, it's horrific. I really feel for the ladies with HG, I don't know how they do it. I'll definitely ring the doctor Monday, thank you everyone ❤

Had anyone else just not felt any nausea really? I’m nearly 10 weeks. Had a few episodes of feeling nauseous earlier on but fleeting. I feel pregnant in other ways - super bloated, random aches and pains, exhausted - but no nausea. I had very minimal nausea when pregnant with my first child but this is even less still. Worried it’s a bad sign
I had no symptoms at all, and still don’t, apart from two random voms at 16 and 17 weeks.

Second pregnancies you get way less appointments, I am consultant led but didn’t even get offered a community midwife appt this time. From my 12 week appointment I didn’t see anyone until 28 weeks (except for my anomaly scan). Definitely speak to your GP re the aspirin- the letter from the hospital will state when you should take it to (I know this varies from trust to trust, some say until 40 weeks mine is until 37 weeks). Also mention the pain, I had this and it was PGP and was referred to physio (the birthing ball was the only place I could sit near the end, but it gave a lot of relief in that particular area!). It’s frustrating, but you know your own body so make sure you advocate for yourself when you don’t think something it right
I was consultant led for my first because of my age and because I have Crohn's. Definitely struggling this time round and just feels like no-one is listening to me. I rang the GP re the aspirin and they said I could submit the prescription online. Tried that and my surgery doesn't accept online applications, only printed forms 😒 Have the form to drop in Monday as fortunately my husband went to his office this afternoon and will see if I can get a telephone consultant about the pains.

Had basically no cravings for the first and second trimesters. 27+3 atm and have craved the following things:

Greggs margarita pizza (gross)
Jelly babies (green ones specifically)
Candy floss from the fairground ONLY
Lucozade original
I only craved orange squash with my first, nothing yet for my second currently 14+1

oh i know. if it was a boy i wanted lawrence or alistair.

out of interest how do you pronounce emmeline. for me it’s emmeleen like pankhurst.

do you think it’s too similar to emily as my partners sister is called emily. but usually nicknamed millie. i’d like the nickname lena for emmeline
Yes I'd pronounce it how you have! I think it's similar in sound but definitely distinct from Emily.

We're stuck on names for boys. I do want my Dad's name as the middle name and he wants his Grandfather's name so think he might end up with two as I can't see a compromise happening 😂

Honestly get an iron transfusion if you can! I’m in australia now so not sure how easy they are to get in the UK (and I paid a fair bit for it too 😂) but it’s been life changing. I wish I did it sooner. I’m almost 39 weeks and pretty much fine when everyone else this far along seems to be moping around with so little energy
I wish I could get one! In Aus too but even though my ferritin is on the floor, my haemoglobin is ok so I’m not anaemic. My ob doesn’t want me to get one while pregnant as I haven’t had one before ahd there’s a risk of anaphylaxis. 😭
