I don't mind leaving the house for appointments at all! I'm happy to see them in their clinics or whatever. It's purely home invaders that I don't like. As said previously, I'll be able to put up with it for the sake of the baby, I just think it's archaic in this day and age.
I’d definitely ask/suggest it and explain your reasoning. They probably think it’s helpful to come to you. The only appt thats been in my home is the health visitor. Day 3 midwife check was in hosp as I was still there- I think if I was home it would have been at home. Otherwise we’ve had to go to them. It differs everywhere though by the sounds of things

If it helps anyone understand, I'm 23 😂 I have grown up in the era of everything being online or over the phone. I think letters are archaic and home visits from midwives belong in the 1950s. I don't plan on having visitors in my house post birth or in the hospital. I quite genuinely dislike most people and in person social interaction 😅 I'd do a zoom call haha

Ultimately though, I'll do whatever is best for the baby. I want to forget about it now, just needed my dramatic moment 👍🏻

To be fair, I had no choice as I had a section so couldn’t have gone to see them just after the birth. It really wasn’t that bad though I promise!
I wish they had come to me, I had a section, was in 5 days, told the midwife would come the day after I got home from hospital (11pm). Not sure what possessed me but I started tidying and cleaning, then all I got was a bloody phone call and told to go to hospital (NOT the one I gave birth at, a different one) for a follow up appt 2 days later. Wandered round the new hospital for 45 mins trying to find the right place. No wonder my wound flared up 🙄

Did any of you have/are planning to have the Harmony test?

God I’m already having to buy elasticated trousers for work and I’m 9 weeks haha second baby
yeah this is baby no 2 for me and I’ve been showing since week 7. This second baby is IVF so I think the drugs really add to it. Im 14 weeks now and I look 6 months…

I’m just waiting for my results for the trisomy tests. What results have other people gotten? 1 in? My first baby was 1 in 100,000

I had the screening done this time but didn't in my first pregnancy. Only reason I had it done this time was so I could prepare myself, especially with having a toddler at home already. Wouldn't have changed the outcome of the pregnancy at all for me though.

I’m getting that test done with NIPT in 4 weeks time after my ultrasound ! $430 here in aus and isn’t covered by Medicare or private health insurance

It's not covered on the NHS in my area unless the 12 week scan back of head measurement (which is opt in) show a high chance of chromosomal abnormality. It's around £400 where I live.

I’ve had a NIPT/Harmony/NEST test here in Australia with all three of my pregnancies that made it to ten weeks. I like having the information. No idea what 1 in xx any of mine came back with, I was just told they were all low risk.

Just bought her pram, car seat and next to me 😅😅😅 just have to get her nursery done now as wanted it sorted before my pay goes to crap! 15 weeks to go 🥰🥰🥰🥰 feels forever away but also so close 🤣

Has anyone else had a really runny nose during pregnancy? It was honestly one of the first symptoms I had back in March when I think back to pre positive test days. 29 weeks on Monday and still have the nose of a 5 year old during the first week of school 😅 always have to have tissues with me.

Yup! It was like bad hayfever for me and was a nightmare - after the running stopped I kept getting a stuffy nose, a cough because of mucus irritating the back of my throat, and my asthma got thrown off kilter - all normal but annoying!

Yep, apparently it's a normal symptom. So annoying though.

Currently in a huff with the OH because he’s said we can’t get a takeaway. Really really craving a Nando’s/Wagamamas 😤. Pregnancy cravings are no joke. Don’t think he understands how severe they get 😂😂
