Super scary yet exciting going into the last ‘month’!! Baby Haz is due later this month and I’m going nuts trying to think if I’ve remembered everything

Has anyone else experienced horrific sickness in the third trimester? I just don't know what to do with myself. I had a bit of nausea in the first trimester and like I always say the second trimester was actually really nice and I enjoyed it but what I'm having now is killing me off 😭 every single night this week I've been throwing up. It wakes me up and I spend a good hour either being sick or having the most horrific reflux. My throat is so sore with it that I'm even struggling to sip water so tonight I'm feeling so weak and I don't want to become dehydrated. I knew the third trimester was going to be tough but I didn't think I'd be sick the way I have 😭

I would speak to your midwife and get something prescribed for the sickness. Stick to liquids like soup and smoothies - it will help your throat more.

I have a friend who suffered badly in the third trimester too-she went to the gp who prescribed her something for the reflux (omeprazole) and it helped massively with the sickness and reflux. Also re the reflux it is an old wives tale that milk helps-it actually has the opposite effect so stay away from it!

I think I need to make an appointment because it's wiping me out now 😭 luckily I don't like milk haha.

Happy September all! Just dawned on me that I’m having my baby next month 💕 Who’s due this month?!
I’m due next week!! 😬 currently fed up and wanting this baby OUT! If anyone has any good tips at bringing labour on please let me know! Consultant wants to induce or section me end of next week because of high blood pressure, which I’m terrified about, so I’m hoping and praying he comes naturally before then! 🙏🤞

I did laps of the garden, went into labour that evening. Walking up stairs sideways is supposed to be good but I live in a bungalow.

Kerb walking and a LOT of time on the birthing ball. But baby will come when it wants to unfortunately. Don’t be terrified either, think of what you will have at the end of it all

Another vote for walking, my first was overdue but I went for a long walk the day I went into labour.

On the day I went into labour I had a sweep in the morning, then my husband drove me over a load of speed bumps on the way home (🤣) and then I kneeled on the floor and rocked back and forth draped over the birthing ball. I'd also been bouncing/rotating my hips on the birthing ball for two weeks before that. No idea which bit kick-started labour, but it progressed very quickly that night!! Could you ask your midwife to do a couple of sweeps this week to try to get things started naturally? If things don't happen on their own don't be worried, you'll be in safe hands however he arrives 😊

I had a sweep too but actually wouldn't recommend it. It only works in favourable conditions and if the conditions are favourable, chances are you will go into labour yourself anyway. There's very little research on the success of them because it's impossible to tell if the sweep worked or if labour would've happened anyway! 🙈

Been to the pharmacist and they can't give me anything for my acid reflux 🙃 literally just said eat ginger biscuits and sip ginger tea. Fml if I have to go through the next ten weeks of this. I honestly don't know how people with HG do it - you're all bleeping superwomen because this has only been the last few weeks for me and I'm DONE 😭

Walk walk walk. I was due to be induced at 41+3 was terrified about it and ended up going into labour 41+2 and not needing it! I was doing long walks every day hoping gravity would do it’s job 😂 felt like I was weeing myself with every step by the end

Get a prescription for Omeprazole ASAP it’s life changing to your quality of life with bad reflux. Wish I got it sooner, I just copied on rennies and gaviscon constantly uncomfortable until I was in the third tri and kept choking on my acidy sick in the night 🤢 then I was like whyyyyy did I not get this when I was 10 weeks when I went on omeprazole 😂

I had HG in my first pregnancy the whole way through and currently in the 3rd trimester with baby #2 and it's a lot more manageable now. I find eating little and often is much easier on my stomach than 3 meals, and having ice pops rather than drinks. My vomiting was worse at night time due to laying down in bed so found propping myself up with pillows and not eating too soon before bed.

That's what's happening to me in the nights, it's horrific. I really feel for the ladies with HG, I don't know how they do it. I'll definitely ring the doctor Monday, thank you everyone ❤
