I was by no means fit before and I was starting to think about getting fit before I found out I was pregnant. My midwife told me I could carry on with my exercise routing (which was nada lol) and so she said walking, swimming, prenatal Pilates and yoga etc were all ok. I’ve gradually just increased my walking, so I’m aiming for 8,000-10,000 steps a day and then I do a 15 minute yoga/Pilates workout most days, and honestly I feel so much fitter than I did before pregnancy just from doing that. It’s nothing strenuous, heart rate is always below 130, dogs/toddler are getting outside more and the yoga has really helped the aches and pains and general tweakiness. I really rate Pregnancy & Postpartum TV on YouTube if you don’t have access to a gym etc, there’s a huge variety and they all seem to have modifications etc. Might be worth checking with your midwife before you start anything just in case there’s a medical reason why they’d advise against it, but if you’re otherwise healthy they seem to recommend half an hour of gentle activity a dayBit of a strange one but I've had long covid (not sure if I still have it tbh) and lately I'm finding even walking for ten minutes I'm getting out of breath and struggling to breathe. Obviously this isn't ideal especially as I progress with the pregnancy. I've always been pretty fit before getting covid so it's so frustrating for me. Basically I just wanted to ask if anyone has any tips to build up my endurance safely during pregnancy. I'd stopped working out in the first trimester because I'd had spotting and felt wiped out and didn't want to put strain on myself but now I feel like I need to start building my exercise back up slowly and safely.

Adidas maternity leggings are amazing! Can anyone recommend some comfy black leggings/maternity leggings that aren’t see through? I’m only 10 weeks but have a tiny little bump forming and all my leggings are starting to feel tight already![]()
