We have bought second hand reusable nappies, they have all been sanitised multiple times and in great condition! Planning on using them once we get into the swing of things with parenthood!
To counteract the negative stories, I’ve had two really great recoveries with my c-section births! Get up and moving as soon as they let you and keep taking your pain killers on the schedule. You’re going to be ok and very, very soon you’ll be snuggling your beautiful baby! After feeling so confident and prepared for my section tomorrow I’m now really doubting myself and my choice
I’ve spent ages reading people’s recovery stories and I’m scared I’ve made the wrong decision.
I was hoping I would go in this one but no sign of little miss popping out just yet so will be the next oneAlways wonder which thread I’ll give birth in. Almost certain it’s going to be the next one![]()
It’s brutal. I always say pregnancy fatigue is like nothing else, anyone who hasn’t experienced it just won’t comprehend it. You just have to roll with it and go to bed as early as you can. It does get better in the second trimester but honestly I totally get where you’re coming from.Anyone else cry to their partner/husband about the 1st trimester morning sickness and exhaustion?

I’m sad becuase I’m supposed to be happy but I just feel so sick and tired.
I know people will say “women have been doing it for millennia” but I’m pretty sure it’s only modern women who’ve had to maintain a 40 hour week and commuting whilst batting morning sickness and pretending to be normal
I can't believe you are already 20 weeks I remember your first post not believing it was real and then the shocked twin post after your 12 week scan so vividlyCan I just say… it’s bloody hot.![]()
20 week scan tomorrow for the twins.Trying to push it out my mind so I don’t worry but it’s starting to get to me that if I don’t think about it, there’ll be something wrong. (I’ve had a lot of things go wrong in my life and feel like I'm always dwelling on what could go wrong because good stuff like this doesn’t happen to me).
Yes, my resting heart rate went from 56 to 90 by the end of pregnancy. Right after birth it went down to 40 but has settled at 60 again. Your circulatory system has to work harder due to the increase in blood. Pregnancy really is an endurance test.Just been out for a walk in quite warm weather. I felt ok but my watch said my heartbeat was 140bpm? Is it normal for your heart rate to be higher when pregnant?
I had a B shaped bump for ages and totally get what you mean about it making you feel down, I felt the same and I thought I didn’t look pregnant, just that I’d put on weight. Its different for everyone, I’m 28 weeks and mine started rounding out at around 25 weeks.Hey all, I'm 21 weeks and 3 days and have an anterior placenta - wondering when people who also are in the same boat felt any movement as I haven't felt any. I also don't "feel that pregnant" haven't got a "D Bump". I was a size 12/14 slim waist before and I just look like I have a belly atm which is getting me down a lot as all you seem to see are perfectly round bumps! Mine is more like B with a dip like before I was pregnant but more exaggerated
Thankfully my first trimester has, for the most part, been relatively symptom free, but this is one thing I’ve really noticed - I get STARVING. Like sore belly, feeling ravenous type hunger, which I’ve never really had before.Hunger! I remember going 5 or so minutes longer than usual before eating one morning before work and feeling like I might pass out from hunger! It’s not usual for me to be like that and I remember thinking it was odd. A day later I got my positive test!
I was a size 32 with my first pregnancy, size 28 with my second and a size 22 with my 3rd.Hi guys, 1st scan tomorrow, they have me at 12wks but I've calculated me as 11wks (longer cycles)
Im only 5ft2 and a size uk18/20, raised bmi. Feeling really nervous they won't be able to see on the ultrasound. I've had internal ultrasound before so not bothered regarding that just kinda down and out about it all I guess. Anyone been in same boat?
Holly is top of our list for a girl! We want H names because our surname is H and I like the idea of same letter initialsIvy was on our list! Not what we're going with but the closest we got to festivebesides Holly, Noel and Ivy I can't think of any festive names
Edit: apparently Felix is a festive name! That's on our list
I can only imagine how that feels but part of me feels like they might be the comments I'll get from my MILWell, I was in a restaurant this afternoon and there was a baby shower there. The poor pregnant lady had some awful friendsshe walked in and one of them immediately commented on how "huge" she looked and another said she was "massive" I felt so sorry for her. They also asked if her baby was measuring big because she was so big etc. It was so uncomfortable to overhear it and the poor lady didn't say anything, just sat there looking gutted. They could have commented on her lovely outfit or anything else but they focused so much on her size. If I were her I would have said "you look a lot bigger since I saw you last too, what's your excuse?"

Find somewhere you can have a quiet sit down if you need it. That may be a toilet cubicleHow are you all finding social outings? I’m 10 weeks tomorrow, lethargic as hell and going to a concert tomorrow.. 3 hour’s travel, gates opening at 4 and main act starts at 8.. of course the group I’m going with wants to make the most of the day so I don’t want to be complaining but I’m completely dreading itthey know I’m pregnant but I don’t want to ruin their weekend away either and it’s my boyfriends Xmas present from myself so couldn’t really cancel either 🥲
I was the exact same, sore boobs and nausea and still didn’t think there would be anything there, and then we saw the little bean with the heart fluttering and it was the best feeling of reliefI have my private 8 week scan tomorrow morning and I’ve absolutely convinced myself there’s going to be nothing in there. I’ve also had very few symptoms: boobs and a little nausea but that’s all. I’m exhausted from worrying about it. I’m being ridiculous, aren’t I? Husband keeps saying, “but you’re tired and have some symptoms - that must mean there’s something in there”. not necessarily buddy.
Luckily it’s an early appointment and I need to paint a shed tomorrow so if it’s not viable, at least I have a task to do tomorrow.
