Baby Ro arrived safely yesterday lunch time 🥰 felt rough after the section but mainly nerves I think & dizziness from pregnancy!
Can’t believe he’s actually here. Wishing you all lots of luck with your births & pregnancies 🙏❤❤
Congratulations!! I hope you're both doing well and that your dizziness finally disappears soon! Enjoy getting to know little one, and I hope you're not too sore and have plenty of time to relax and recover 😊❤

My sister just had a 9lbs 11oz baby vaginally (and she was posterior) and was fine. Just needed a little help from forceps at the end. She was on the dance floor at a wedding within a week. 😊
Oh wow! This makes me feel more confident, thank you ☺ x

Had a growth scan today at 32w3d and baby is measuring at 5lbs 14oz and let me tell you, it's a good job I was sat down when the doctor told me 🙃😂
Had a bit of a wobble as baby girl is looking MASSIVE and I'm a bit worried that I won't get the birth I want (know birth plan is more of a wishlist than anything else)
Anyone else been in a similar situation and gone on to have a vaginal birth? Just after some reassurance more than anything!x
My second was 11lbs and was a vaginal birth.
My third was estimated to be around 10lbs based on growth scans. I had a scan at 40 weeks exactly and she was estimated 9lb 11.
She was born 4 days later at 6lb 14.
So just remember they're now always accurate 😊
But even with her estimated to be that weight, they never offered any intervention.
I actually requested an induction myself at 40 weeks because I didn't want her to get to the size of my second.

If anyone fancies a little giggle at my expense - last night I proved that pregnancy hormones which cause increased general flexibility are definitely a thing. There was an unfortunate combination of my mother-in-law cleaning our laminate floor earlier in the day, and me having a little dance around to encourage baby to shift down last night, which lead to me accidently doing a very impressive attempt at the splits 😂 I did a sort of slow-motion slide as my legs got wider and wider apart, ending in me being on the floor looking shocked (and feeling very sore!) due to my new-found gymnastic ability 🤣

Mini rant incoming. Fed up with medical professionals tbh 😂. Was told I’d get a call with details of my section today. Times getting on and I hadn’t heard anything so I called myself. “Yes it was booked in this morning your pre op is on Thursday we sent you a letter today.” I’m just like ??? I was told I’d get a call, plus Thursday is so soon what if I never called and the letter didn’t come in time. 🙄 plus side is cause it’s so last minute I’ve actually been booked into a nicer hospital. It’s a little bit of a drive but my more local one has a lot of bad memories for me so silver lining and all that!
Just to add to this… got a phone call this morning, they gave me the wrong appointment it was already filled 🫠. So it’s tomorrow! Currently in a mad rush to get to my pre-op 😩 this time tomorrow baby will be here!

38 weeks this week and have been suffering so badly with pelvic pain, lightening crotch etc and all seem to have miraculously eased up the last two days. Hoping this is my body prepping for labour

Every area is different.
With mine, you don't hear anything until around 9 weeks for an appointment at 10 weeks.
But I know others have heard back around 7/8 weeks

I’m also 38 weeks and suffering horrendously with pelvic pain and really sore legs, so this is really promising! Glad you’re feeling better!

Pregnancy rage hormones are getting to me. Just composed a very crappy email because the expensive humidifier I bought my toddler to help with her cough/colds/nursery bugs had stopped working after a week. Realised before I sent it that I’d just not put the lid on properly 🤦🏼‍♀️😂 defo wasn’t this aggy before haha.

Side note - a humidifier is one of my few must buy baby items for this baby, it has helped her so much when she’s struggling at night with coughs and congestion, has been absolutely worth it’s weight in gold and makes the house smell like a spa.

I’m home now after spending the night/day in hospital. Baby Skates is still on board for now and my contractions have stopped. His heart rate was quite erratic at time so they kept me on a monitor for a while. Hoping that all will be fine leading up to my next midwife appointment and growth scan and they’ll reassess from there:

I’m 27 weeks. I’m completely, utterly wiped out. I don’t think I’ve ever been this exhausted in my life! And I’m not even quite in tri 3!

how did they get in touch as in worried about missing the email

i found out last week i was pregnant. i did. two early tests thursday and friday and confirmed with a clear blue digital on saturday. i have long cycles and my period wasn’t actually due until today so i think i’m 4 weeks now.
i don’t know when to tell my family. as in my mum and dad. i am close to them but i’m confused about this 12 week rule. i don’t want to upset my mum by waiting a while to tell her but on the other hand i’m not sure she will take it seriously until 12 weeks. could be over thinking. what did you guys do

Phone call. I'd say most will be a phone call. The don't usually call until 6 weeks minimum as most places you can't even register until you're 6 weeks.

The 12 week "rule" isn't a rule as such. It's just that after the 12 weeks, the chance of miscarriage ect is so much lower.
I always say to tell the people who's support you'd want if something were to go wrong.
For me, that was my friend. But for a lot of people, it's their parents they'd want support from if something bad happened
