I don't know why we decided it would be a good idea to move home when 30 weeks pregnant but my god I am in bits today. Feel like I need a weeks holiday in a spa to recover (I wish 😭). I'm currently sat surrounded by boxes, bags, suitcases and tit tons of baby stuff but too exhausted to do anything with it all 😅
If anyone in their first or second trimester is thinking about moving house don't leave it until your 3rd trimester to do it! 🙈

I had pain in a similar place around 23-27wks (not consistently) which my midwife put down to stretching? Although yours sounds more painful! Have you tried one of those warm in a microwave teddies? They don't get hot just nice & warm but helped with my back pain, or a warm bath? Maybe some gentle pregnancy stretches could help too? Sorry just throwing out things that have helped me with various front & back pains!
Currently 36 + 3 weeks and due to move next week 🙈 I could honestly cry at the thought of it! Hope you’re all settled in your new home and are able to have a good rest - think of me next week and cross your fingers that baby doesn’t decide to make an early appearance!

Oh crikey! I hope yours goes smoothly and that baby stays *put! for a few weeks!! 🤞🏼
It didn’t help that we lived on the 4th floor without a lift 🙈 Hopefully you are also more organised than we were and have lots of boxes- we were scrambling for bags by the end of the day just to get stuff out 😂

We got our kitchen done when I was about 35-37 weeks pregnant and omg the stress 🙈 thankfully the bulk of it was done by the time I had the baby at 37 weeks but could really have done with one or two more weeks to move everything back into the new kitchen 😭 I hope unpacking from the move goes okay for you!

Thanks for the tips! I’ll definitely give anything a try at this point so any suggestion is so welcome! 🤣 hope the unpacking is being kind to you! It’s a rubbish enough task to do when not pregnant so take it easy!
I hope one of them helps!
There are also some patches/strips I used in the past for period pains but check with your midwife first as I’m not sure if they’re suitable in pregnancy.
They give off a nice warm yet cooling feeling- they’re called ‘be you - monthly patches’.
Thank you!! It’s definitely going to be spread out over the next few weeks, I’m in no rush 😂

Hi Just for some advice please!
I have my GD test tomorrow early 😴
When waiting around, do go to the cafe, have a bed, sit in the waiting area?
Just wondering if I should take my work laptop or a book?

May be different for every trust but thought I’d see to prepare! Thank you x

In my experience, its always been sitting in the waiting area

For any of you who have already had a baby, how close were your instincts on when they’d be born?
From day one, I’ve just had a feeling our baby will be early. I know it doesn’t follow a pattern, but both me and my partner were two-three weeks early, and baby has been measuring big so far.

I’m a bridesmaid at a wedding in the summer (baby should be about 2 months old by this point) but the hen party is in May. We don’t have an exact date yet other than ‘some time in May’ but that’ll make me 35-39 weeks pregnant. It’s a good couple of hours train ride away and while it’s a casual event, I’m a bit weary being that far away from home while super pregnant.
I had a feeling I’d go early…and I had baby at 36+2! She was head down from 28 weeks, my bump was low from 32 weeks…it wasn’t a total shock.

They will tell you what you can do, the first time I was told that they didn’t want me to go for a walk, they just wanted me to sit at the back of the waiting area and I could take sips of water if I wanted. I did take my laptop to get some work done - but I also downloaded some Netflix stuff to watch.
The second time she said I could go and sit in my car if I wanted (honestly no idea why).

but yeah you’re right, each trust is likely to have different advice, and even for me I got two different answers 😆

just take something to keep you occupied for 2 hours and have a snack handy for afterwards x

Mine told me to sit in the waiting room and not move too much. I took my mum so wasn’t totally bored 😂😂😂

I was told around 20 weeks that they would recommend baby arriving before 40 weeks due to risk factors (my age and baby's predicted size) so in my head I thought 36/37 weeks (based off literally nothing haha), later the consultant said induction at 38 weeks or c section at 39, and in the end my waters broke at 36+4 and baby arrived bang on 37 weeks.

In my experience,
It's called REDUCED movements.
Make sure you get checked.

Any change in movements/patterns needs to be checked.

Does everyone get a GD test? I had to fast today for bloods etc but didn’t have to wait around afterwards? Or is it only if you’re high risk. Don’t remember having to wait around after my bloods with my first child either x

In my experience,
Only if you're high risk for it or showing glucose ect in the blood
