Just a heads up, Lidl have got two pack sets of maternity bump bands for £2.99! I picked one up in a size 12 - 14 and it’s a little loose at the moment but will be great in a few weeks. Might not be elastic enough to last me through to the end and not very thick but certainly a good interim option. Unfortunately only in black (which is more like navy) and grey from what I could see but definitely a good buy I think.
I had something similar in my last pregnancy, and while they may not be hugely supportive later on, I found they were good for avoiding flashing the bottom of my bump if my top rode up.

Hi guys sorry to jump on.. finishing my hospital bag and have no idea how many pads/pull ups to take? I’m planning on mainly using disposable pull ups but unsure how many to take?
Take as many as you can pack! There will be spares in the hospital, but the more you can fit in your case the better!

My heartburn is awful tonight and I’m not sure why 😩 I’ve had a McDonalds egg and cheese McMuffin and two hash browns on the way back from the airport and a tuna and sweetcorn jacket potato - that’s all 😭

Hey everyone! Sorry to jump in and not read others stories but I was wondering if anyone had an experience similar to mine. I've just done a pregnancy test at night and the test took ages to change colour on the window and when it finally did it looked like this. Took 2 more and an early pregnancy one after a late night Asda visit and negative... it is midnight I know and am gonna test in the morning ...

The pic was hard to take and it was a bit darker and clearer irl...
Try a digital one as well as I think the dye ones can be inaccurate and are void if it’s after the time it says it should take to come up with a result. Good luck!

Does anyone here work in a non-office type job and are pregnant? I’m really nervous about being pregnant at work this time round. Last time I was on furlough for the majority of it.

I work in a front of house job and no one on my team has been pregnant in that role before. I’m worried about being in pain and barely sitting down, as well as inappropriate comments from the general public.
Not quite the same, but I worked in a supermarket when pregnant with my second.
10 hour shifts, on my feet for the whole thing

Hi all,

I’ve been a lurker for a while but I’m biting the bullet and posting! I’m 9+4 following 5 miscarriages in 2.5 years. I’m currently signed off with hyperemesis and something I’m really struggling with is being so sensitive to smells. I cannot bear the smell of my bedroom. It makes me so sick. Everything smells the same and it’s getting me down. I’ve changed bedding, washed any sort of fabric, currently in the process of washing all my clothes because I cannot stand the smell. My husband can’t smell what I smell, it’s not even like a bad smell but I hate it. This might sound slightly dramatic but because I’m so sick after eating, from the smell etc, it makes me so anxious to even be in the room!
My husband has just tested negative after having covid so we’ve slept apart and tonight I’ve got to sleep in here and I feel like I’m going insane!
I’ve got a lavender pillow spray which has helped previously but has anyone else got any wise words?!
Fully aware I sound like a crazy person.
So sorry for you, I took a total aversion to the smell of the rented house we were living in when I was pregnant with baby #2. It was that bad we actually moved out altogether and moved in with my now- mother in law 😂. I can't even describe it, I could smell the people that lived there before us or something. Just the 'house smell'. All I can say to you is that you'll likely feel a lot better in a month or so and you'll likely forget how bad it ever was. Stay strong 🙏

I'm 29 weeks and getting qlmost like period style cramps, are these the infamous Braxton Hicks? I don't recall getting them in my last pregnancy

I've got a silly question - I had my combined screening on Tuesday at my 12 week scan and was told that if there was a higher risk I'd be called within 72 hours, otherwise I'll get a letter within 3 weeks if it's low risk. 72 hours have passed but I'm giving it until the end of today just in case - after that should I assume I'm lower risk, or has anyone experienced being called after the 72 hour window to be told they're higher risk? I can't wait 3 weeks to relax but don't want to relax too soon! 😅

Probably going to sound ridiculous, but I’ve just been sat down doing absolutely nothing and my underwear/leggings felt wet, thought I might need the toilet and as I got to the toilet I felt a gush. Not like when you wee and push it out, just a gush. When I wiped it was completely clear so no blood or anything but I’ve taken my underwear off & it was absolutely soaked, I’ve put a pad on for an hour but I can feel little trickles every so often. Really don’t want to go to triage to be told I’ve wet myself though 🤦🏼‍♀️😂
Definitely go to triage, that's how my waters broke with my first! Let us know how it goes x

Hi, this is my second pregnancy. I’m 18+ 3 weeks and have anterior placenta. Haven’t felt baby kick yet. Would you find that concerning or is that normal ?

What does everyone do for energy, other than having a nap? I used to basically have an IV of coffee and I know you can have a small amount but I just don’t feel like coffee anymore. I sometimes have some lucozade but there’s a lot of sugar in it so don’t like having loads.

Not seen it but mine was pretty bad. I had to stand in the bath for a while and basically just had to keep changing knickers and leggings and sitting on bed pads for quite a long time, I think they stopped after about 6 hours or so. I had a lot of water.
This! The bed had to be changed 3 times the night I was admitted & that’s with bed pads and me wearing a pad. I was like a frigging tap 😂😂

Yeah I kind of felt like that after my "debrief" after the birth. I'll see what happens and ask if I can take them away. Surely I should be allowed to as it's my medical history?
I would like to think so! I don’t see how they could refuse? I wonder if they used to give notes out but got a lot of grief back from it so now they just try to skirt around it as much as they can?

I've never felt a thing with an epidural. You're just so glad to be getting it 😅 I did have quite a sore back (just at the site) for a long time after baby #1 but #2 I had no issues whatsoever

I thought I’d pop out to distract me from worrying about scan tommorow. On way home and someone’s pulled out in front of me in car…. Slammed on my break…. Now I’m in a absolute panic It’s harmed baby.
I rang the Triarge line but they won’t see me till 18 weeks. Just said if I’m bleeding go to a&e.
Anyone else experienced similar and all been ok?
Baby is well and truly protected in there.
That's why the amniotic fluid and everything is for 😊 slamming on your breaks won't harm them ☺

Ok so I’ve had a tiny visible bump (to me at least) for the past couple of weeks, probably because my torso is short and I don’t carry weight around my tummy, but the little bump has now moved up and is really really pointy😂 is this normal? I googled and it looks like a boy bump just a lot smaller as of now 😂

Oh love sending you a big hug. It's a huge loss and it stays with you always. I lost our pregnancy this time last year and I found the due date very hard too. I'm so excited about this little baby but struggled to feel connected to it for months 'just in case'. Hope you have a lovely day in the woods tomorrow ❤
Big hugs to you too ❤ I can definitely understand the struggling to connect part, fear can have an awful grip on you at times.
The day wasn't easy but I survived it which is the main thing
