That's a relief to hear they do return to normal, otherwise if this level of growth continued I'd be a wee bit concerned 😂 I spent enough time pre pregnancy trying to hide them when I'd pick out clothes, never mind making it worse 😂
Don’t get me wrong they definitely weren’t as perky as pre pregnancy 😂 my cup size actually ended up smaller because I lost more weight post pregnancy mainly thanks to bfeeding I think, but obviously everyone is different!

My heartburn is awful tonight and I’m not sure why 😩 I’ve had a McDonalds egg and cheese McMuffin and two hash browns on the way back from the airport and a tuna and sweetcorn jacket potato - that’s all 😭

Tuna kills me! Even before being pregnant it would give me the worst heartburn

What does everyone do for energy, other than having a nap? I used to basically have an IV of coffee and I know you can have a small amount but I just don’t feel like coffee anymore. I sometimes have some lucozade but there’s a lot of sugar in it so don’t like having loads.
It might be frowned upon by some but I have an energy drink, only the small can but I find it’s the only thing that keeps me going, it’s under the caffeine limit but understand it’s not for everyone

My 4D scan was absolutely amazing! I honestly don’t go a day without looking at the pictures or videos. We even managed to get ones where he was doing a little smile & had hiccups, and showing them to family members made it even more special. It made me feel so emotional seeing what he looked like when I’d been growing him for so long ❤ I know it’s expensive but it’s so worth it! Xxx
Sounds amazing, you’re definitely selling it to me!!! Xx

Amniotic fluid question….

Obviously I’ve had a complicated pregnancy and baby Neo is expected any time.

What do your waters leaking feel/smell like? (Soz for the TMI)

Thinking of ordering the pram when I go into labour as it apparently comes pretty quick on the bugaboo website I just don’t really want to spend £1200 for it to be sat in the house for 3 months! Or am I mad?😂

Congratulations! ❤ My BMI when I fell pregnant was 42, but my experience so far (28 weeks) has been great, I'm also 41 so have consultant care anyway but it really has been fine, plus you get extra scans which is a bonus :p this is my first pregnancy so I have no form of reference but I don't think I've been treated differently at all, certainly not in a negative way. I had to take a higher dose of Folic Acid, from 12 weeks take Aspirin daily and am now injecting myself once a day with an anticoagulant, but it's all been handled fine and no was has made me feel bad about my size (20/22) x
I'm in similar circumstances, 39 with BMI of 41, similar size but the consultant has prescribed 2x daily anticoagulants! Haven't started yet as I'm only 23 weeks. I'd be really interested to know what you were prescribed if that isn't too nosy, as 2x a day feels like quite a lot? If you're comfortable sharing feel free to PM me.

So whilst I’ve been in there’s literally no plan, it’s up to asbo baby and he’s loving it. I’ve been told to keep an open mind for the birth because basically anything can happen. But one thing for sure is he’ll need NICU when he’s born and I’m not allowed a water birth, so that points towards an induction. I’ve spoken to the mental health team whilst I’ve been in cos it’s massively overwhelmed me and I haven’t dealt with it the best, I’ve tried to ask questions to find out stuff but am I in the right to ask maybe if I could be shown round NICU? I can read up online about the induction but I’m just a bit scared what’s going to happen after he’s born, do they just take him? will I get to see him? 😩
You're absolutely in the right to ask for a tour. Pre covid they did used to do them for any parents expecting to deliver and require NICU treatment.
I'll be straight with you, when he's born it'll be very dependent on how he presents, they'll probably take him over to the hot cot check him over and then bring him over to you to see him if he's stable. They will keep you updated as they're doing the checks, wrap him up and then hopefully you'll get a cuddle 😊
Also ask if you can speak to the lead nurse of NICU, we had a visit from our lead nurse just before I went in for my csection and she explained everything and answered every question I had!
There's a few of us who have experienced NICU, if you have any questions ask them I'm sure between us we can get you an answer ❤

Could I have some advice please as I never know what to do in these situations- I’ve got a friend who only talks to me about my pregnancy and the baby, and it’s getting really irritating. I know she’s just trying to be nice and as much as I like talking about it, she always frames everything in my life around my pregnancy and baby which annoys me. I asked her about her house, she answered and then asked me about the baby. I told her something about work, she called me a “multitasking mama”, which I found very patronising. Again, she’s being nice but I’m not one of those people who is obsessed with babies, obviously I will be with my own but generally I like talking about things other than being pregnant and she’s the only friend of mine who does this, she’s got a baby but even my other friends with babies aren’t like this.

How do I tell her I wanna talk about things other than my pregnancy without offending her?
My friend has this turns out her friends was trying for a baby and that’s why she was so interested in every symptom, birth etc. She used to joke a bit at first with her being like enough about me i feel it’s all we talk about I want to hear about you etc and she got the picture. Sometimes she would still ask pregnancy stuff but my friend would answer briefly and then change the conversation onto something else

Swimming is considered very safe in pregnancy as it's very low impact? And uses your whole body ☺ and pilates/yoga are very popular during pregnancy too, though obviously won't burn as much energy.
Thank you, I might look into it!! 😊

I also feel like I’m crying at everything and I’m only coming up 10 weeks! It’s an emotional rollercoaster. I dread to think what I’ll be like later on in pregnancy 😂

This. I slept in a seperate room for a while back with baby #2 because we were actually staying in temp accomodation and I kept disturbing everyone getting up during the night 100 times. Anyway, I wasn't sleeping too well, was bored and well there wasn't much else to do 😂
Can confirm, I 100% believe it helped send me into natural labour
My midwife said it’s the semen that does it?😩🤦🏽‍♀️

All of that’s so illegal! You can’t ask that and you definitely can’t not hire someone because you think they’ll have kids soon.

From a slightly different perspective, I applied for a job just before I found out I was pregnant and I’m waiting to hear back (it’s a civil service training career so lengthy interview process). If I get it I’m going to have to ask them to hold my application for a year as the start date is 2 weeks after my due date and I know ideally I want to have two kids within 2.5 years of birthdate so I’d only be there for a year or so until I go off on Mat leave again. It’s really made me question whether I should accept it as it feels like a massive hassle and as others have pointed out does breed resentment amongst your colleagues. It’s not so bad in the NHS because it’s almost expected and very normal for people to do that, they just suck it up, but I’m not sure about other industries. I haven’t got the job yet so I dunno what’ll happen either way. If I don’t get it I think I’ll go back long enough to get my full Mat leave pay and then plan to have another baby as soon as I can after and probably will be a SAHM until at least they’re both in school.
Wow the civil service is competitive so congrats on getting an interview! If you get offered it maybe see how you feel at the time? Deferring sounds like a good option, and you could always ask to see their HR policies. Tbh I’ve worked closely with them and plenty of women in the civil service go on may leave. It’s crazy though we have to think about how colleagues would feel about it and them resenting, I hope one day it’s different.

I’m so sorry I mentioned smoked salmon 😭😭😭 I’ve spent the day being very upset about the different advice so might just cook some smoked salmon and hope it tastes like the raw good stuff 😭

also upset about the lack of salmon at Christmas but excited for the cooked Camembert with garlic in 🥖 🫕
I brought some cooked salmon and made salmon cream cheese and gherkin( yummm) bagels and it sorted my craving out!! Thought It would even be nice with some scrambled egg on toast!!

I was all worried as I couldn’t quite work out if tinned anchovies were ok to eat. Ended up having some and have regretted it since as Iv had a bad tummy- think they were just way to rich for my slightly sensitive tummy atm! Plus I may have realised yesterday Stilton was ok to eat so ate that too!! All the rich food in one day 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️
