At the hospital for my GD test today and I honestly thought I’d be fine, now that I’m passed 24 weeks and feel her moving every day, I really thought I’d not give anxiousness a second thought. But had a panic attack in the waiting room because I just associate this place with the three losses and bad news. Going to have to try and get it under control before the birth because changing hospitals isn’t an option. I honestly thought I was fine.

Regularly think of you Chrisxo! Your doing so well
Thanks so much! I’m finding it really tough the reality is hitting me that I’m going to be a parent and have to co parent and it sometimes hits me that my son won’t have a family unit… it’s very difficult even communicating just now with BD as everything gets spun onto me, he’s not coming to the birth so I don’t know who’s going to be there to support me but I know I’m strong enough to face it I’ve been doing everything alone since 28 weeks I’ve been homeless set up my new home and got everything ready on my own I don’t need him! But thank you it’s very scary but exciting too I hope so you ladies are well 💖

Really struggling to cope at the moment. I’m being tested for Cholestasis due to severe itching and my swelling has gotten so bad I’m in so much pain it’s just keeping me up all night long 😩 midwife is just so dismissive of it, my toes literally don’t touch the ground I have about 1cm thick of fluid running along the soles of my feet, the top of my feet are so swollen it’s hard to even compress them and then don’t get me started on the itchiness 😢😢 Rewriting my birth plan as I’ll now be happy to accept an induction as I just cannot cope with this much longer. Having to go outside in the pouring rain in a pair of Birkenstocks because crocs no longer fit me and I can’t get even get a pair of socks on. So over it 😢

I too have been sick throughout and now at 38 weeks almost and was last sick 2 days ago. It’s just not as often now! Just drink plenty and eat little and often, bland food or just whatever will stay down. I found that oranges helped or ice lollies and lots of them!😂 really hope it eases up for you ladies, it’s horrible!! I found it was a horrible, hungover feeling that didn’t go away no matter how many times I was sick! Just felt miserable. I slept a lot too so if you can rest then do!!🤗

Hope all went well today, have been thinking about you❤

Thank you and for everyone else’s replies 🥰 scan went well!! There’s a heart beat and measuring 6+5 which is in line with when I ovulated. So relieved. Having another scan in. 2 weeks to make sure everything’s progressing ok xx thanks so much to everyone on this thread for hearing me out

Just want to say I'm very thankful for these threads on here.
I went to the toilet last night and 2 times the paper was light pinkish.
I'm 8w3d & if I hadn't read here religiously since I found out, I'd have massively panicked.
It's only happened twice & I've been completely fine since, so just want to say thank you ladies 💛

I could feel the baby moving around tonight and I had my hand on my stomach, next thing I felt her kick my hand so hard 🥹🥹🥰 I still can’t believe there is an actual baby in there sometimes

Had a scan today after spotting yesterday - had a total meltdown beforehand and walked into the hospital sobbing after being surrounded by pregnant women smoking outside the hospital. I know it doesn’t work like that, but I was so mad that I didn’t know if everything was okay with my (desperately wanted after years of TTC) baby, and these idiots didn’t even have the decency to try and stop smoking.

luckily, everything is fine. Baby has changed lots since our private scan at 6 weeks, and it was amazing to see the heart beating again.

How did it go? ❤ x
Thanks hun, well it went “okay.” Right number of limbs, happy with her heart and her head, kidneys and tummy but she is a bit of a tiddler in the 8th percentile - so we need another growth scan in two weeks. Midwife was great, very calm and practical.

Oh yeah, and its a girl 👧 😂 I was convinced I had a little boy in there 😂 mothers intuition = not good!

Does anyone have days where they just feel so overwhelmed by everything? Trying to balance work and life plus being pregnant can just sometimes take its toll. Work is really busy right now and I’m trying desperately to start slowing down, I’m nearly 18 weeks but I’m used to rushing around the country and doing international travel and I’m trying to scale that all back now but it’s just really tough. Had an argument with my other half and now whenever we argue I just want to burst into tears which doesn’t help anyone but I feel there’s so much going on and it all just gets too much.

Scan all went as wel as can today. Wasn’t expecting it to be so in-depth. Was with fetal medicine consultant (due to history).
He ticked off most bits said what he could see all looked good. Heart looked as good as he could see, no fluid ect said was slightly limited view (due to me slight raised bmi). If they can’t get 100% view at 20 week scan he will send us over to a fetal medicine in bigger hospital to get a closer look. He said purely for reassurance as he doesn’t want them calling us back in 2/3 weeks and us having to wait.
Screening Nurse who’s been with us through all our pregnancies. Took me aside after and reassured me what he could see looked good…. And he is known for being over cautious with his patients.
Of course I’ll obsess over this!

Had a good midwife appointment this morning - was nice to have a midwife who had actually read my notes so I didn't have to answer the same questions all over again 😂

Hi everyone. Just wanted to let you all know I had a beautiful baby boy today via a cat 1 emergency section it was all so fast. He’s in NICU at the moment as he’s 4 weeks early and is having some breathing problems but it’s all looking good so far. I’m desperate for cuddles. I’ll update you all soon. Take care 💙💙💙
Congratulations!!! ❤ So so glad you're both doing well & hopefully you can see him soon! Can't wait for updates! X

@FirsttimeTTC hope you’re okay x
Thanks Neo - doing well, still pregnant lol. Had a really good consultant come in this morning and we have a clear plan. Baby will be here within the next few days based on my kidney function results, he wants to strike the balance between getting an extra day in utero and making sure I don't hit the serve pre-eclampsia markers so I'm in hospital for the foreseeable. He said it will be tomorrow, the next day or the next day so it's just a waiting game. The anxiety of those 6am blood test results coming back not know if today is the day is a bit nail biting 😅 hope you're well & thanks so much for thinking of me❤xxx

Had my first (early private) scan yesterday and it was absolutely surreal. So incredible, I saw baby's heartbeat, the little yolk sac with them, everything. My first ever pregnancy and scan, and the experience was just amazing, I've been floating on cloud nine since 😂

So I've decided to take mat leave a bit earlier than I originally planned. My job is stressful and we are stupidly short staffed and pregnancy hasn't been easy so far for me.

Why does everyone then have an opinion that your taking it too soon blah blah. Why does everyone need an opinion??

I will savour the extra few weeks to see family and get everything ready and most of all relax!! It's such a personal thing I don't get why everyone has to tell you what they think!

Can anyone confirm or not if waters breaking are as traumatic as that in HOTD 🫡
Deffo not, I didn’t even notice mine had gone until my friend told me they had when she examined me!
(for clarity - my friend is a midwife and looked after me in labour, we don’t just have a really weird relationship)
