How far along are you? Mine was low at my 12 week scan but moved up by the time I had my 20 week scan.That's good news!! Fingers crossed mine goes the same way
It’s up to you, there are no rules I think it’s perfectly normal to buy something after the 12 week scan, I always have
I’m going to buy something after my private scan (11 weeks) providing everything’s all ok!
Supposed to have my 16 week midwife appointment (over the phone) turns out my midwife has left the surgery I go to and no one has called me, I only messaged her to find out why she hadn't called. Tried calling the other general midwife number and no one knows anything about it or when I can get another appointment. I'm FUMING.
17+2, have my official scan when I'm 21 weeks, I'm sure it'll move got plenty of time yet just don't particularly want a c section with a toddler to look after aswel (a very boisterous one haha)

Found out yesterday mine is low lying and anterior so if it doesn't move will have to have more scans and then if it doesn't move will have to have a c section which I don't want
I'm waiting till after my 20 week scan which is finally next week! I am one of those annoying 'don't tempt fate' people though so if it feels right for you I'd start buying now!
There's no rule. It's all what you're comfortable with.
I personally don't until at least 30 weeks and even then I'm hesitant. But that's because I worry so much about things going wrong.
We don't before 24 weeks as that's kind of the stage that if they were born then, they would be viable I guess.
My partner lost 2 previously born at 24 weeks so it's another reason we personally don't.
But it is all down to what you feel is best or what you want to do.

This child is trying to exit my body through my stomach atm. My right side constantly has a bum or back pushing against it and doesn't stop pushing lol.
We are in the same boat! We are waiting to move stillI've only bought 2 things and I'm now 28 weeks, and I only got those because of some bargz on eBay! Hopefully moving places in a few weeks time, so don't want to buy loads of stuff before that anyway.
And another one here in the anterior placenta gang!
im 29 weeks tomorrow and I have low placenta! Have another scan on 12th April for growth and hopefully placenta has moved

Hi , I have a low lying placenta. I’m now 33 weeks, no sign of it moving , but I’m being rescanned at 36 weeks to see if it has moved. I’m not holding out much hope tbh. I do have gestational diabetes though so the chances of me having a C-section were already high so I kind of accepted it early on. I’m sorry this isn’t a positive post, but it’s best to be prepared for what might come.Did anyone have a low lying placenta and did it move?? I really hope it does move, unfortunately there isn’t a lot you can do to prevent it or move it yourself so it’s down to nature I’m afraid. However, I have read and was told by the consultant that 90% of placentas move on their own, which is a really high amount so fingers crossed for you

I had a low lying placenta on my 20 week scan with my second baby, was rescanned at 32 weeks and it had moved, she was then however breach which was discovered at that scan but turned herself at 37 weeks (I remember her turning in the middle of marks and Spencer’s when I was out shopping and literally gripped a clothes rail for dear life as she flipped around. She was born a few days later weighing a very hefty 8lb 13oz! So placentas can move and so can breach babies in my experience.
I bought a baby grow after the 12 week scan for our announcement. I have slowly bought things since then, like bibs, socks, teething ring etc. Just little cheap stuff that I’ve been able to build up. We waited until the 20 week scan to buy anything big, we went browsing for a pushchair at 22 weeks, didn’t think for a second we’d put a deposit down that day but we did. The place we bought from are able to store until we need it and have a policy if anything was to happen eg. miscarriage, still birth etc they fully refund you. Which I think is excellent, abit of peace of mind as travel systems etc are not cheap and also the thought of having to accept large baby stuff when you’ve been through something like that is horrific. I digress, basically start buying whenever you want

I know some people who have bought pushchairs before 12 weeks, and keep it in their house. (Bad luck apparently) everyone’s different, plus with this sodding virus going round and the potential to keep closing the country down its best to get bigger things like that ordered when you can incase of delivery problems or they run out of stock !
