I t
Think mine is weeks 1-6 full pay, 6-13 90% plus the statuary 150 then just 150 until week 33 however I did say to my partner like I don’t think we will do much really other than spend time together and hopefully visit people but bloody hell when I told my mother in law she was like oh you’ll be going back to work after 6 months you will hate the maternity pay. Even if I pay full time nursery I will be better off. I now understand why some families decide for a parent to stay at home until school comes around xxMines exactly the same. Rubbish.
At my company you still accrue holiday I think it is common practice xI think it's actually law that you acquire annual leave whilst on maternity leave as you're still technically working
Had a trainee doing my growth scan today
I didn't mind at all but she got the head down low, it then took her 25 minutes of trying to look for the stomach and legs to say she couldn't find it to the other woman in there.
Because she was looking right under my bump the whole time. She didn't think to move up at alljust kept saying she can see the head and shoulders but can't find the rest
I wanted to interrupt her during the 25 minutes of just sitting there and tell her maybe she should try further up![]()
Your maternity pay is actually good I think xMy mat pay isn’t great either but better than a lot - full pay for 13 weeks then 50% salary + SMP for 5 weeks then 21 weeks SMP then 13 weeks unpaid. That being said though I have great annual leave and public holidays so I can add a further 10 weeks leave paid on to the end of mat leave and still have 2 weeks annual leave to use for the last 2 months of annual leave year when I return. I’ve decided to take the full time off plus the annual leave and public holidays I’ll have just over 14 months off. We’ve been saving hard to allow this but if we can’t afford it at the time I can give notice and come back earlier.
