Thank you. I’ve heard that the medication they give you can make you drowsy, is that right? I’m glad you’re starting to improve 😊
Cyclizine apparently does, but I’ve never had a problem (I’m just tired all the time anyway!) but you can get different meds until you find one that suits you.

Anyone have any tips on how to stay sleeping on your side? I've got got pregnancy pillow and I can fall asleep in my side but everytime I wake up I'm on my back (this is how I always slept) it's worrying me because so many people have told me it's bad for the baby
Have you tried pillows behind your back?
It isn't great but as long as you turn back on your side every time you wake up it's a lot better.

Ah I get you. It’s hard when you don’t want people to know too early isn’t it. Maybe see how you get on but if you can’t hold out any longer just tell your direct manager and ask them to keep it a secret until you’re comfortable telling more people. I have a girl in my team who’s 6 months pregnant and she still hasn’t told anyone else at work except me! Although she won’t be handing her job over when she goes so it is a bit different.

My manager was lovely about it, I’ve known him a long time so I just called him and told him. He was very understanding when I took sick leave last week, when I tried to log on the second day he was the one who told me to log off because staring at a screen all day wasn’t going to make me feel any better! His wife is pregnant too so I think that helps.

Oh that’s good to know, thank you!
I would like to tell my manager however I know she will then start to mither me about doing things quicker etc and then she will be putting my job for maternity cover. She is already starting to drive me mad recently because I don’t know if I said this before but some meetings are early and then some are late and I can’t look at my laptop for that long 8 hours is more than enough. But I am glad you were able to tell your manager I am just not ready to say. Do you feel any better after the fizzy drink?
@Kitt i am glad it went well and aww that is cute I am really interested as our dates are so close as well! I am sorry about your partners mum families are a strange thing sometimes. Do you feel better now? Xx

Can’t remember if we’ve discussed this but anyone got any thoughts on getting the covid vaccine while pregnant? Don’t know if we’ll be offered it before we are all due but I’m leaning towards waiting to get it til after baby is born.
here is some info you may find useful.

Don’t think you can get it while pregnant or breastfeeding
You can have it while breastfeeding, evidence suggests it isn’t a known risk. Many people in the breastfeeding community in NI have recently had it, and the Health trusts (certainly the Belfast trust) have certified it as safe for bf mothers.

Hi guys nee to this thread
I am 16 weeks pregnant today
Has a scare the other day in the hospital with suspected blood clot on lungs but all scans came back clear
However I'm getting an awful tight feeling chest pain recently, may be indigestion but I just wanted to check if that's normal?
Sorry this is my first so sorry if that's a really stupid question

I've only bought 2 things and I'm now 28 weeks, and I only got those because of some bargz on eBay! Hopefully moving places in a few weeks time, so don't want to buy loads of stuff before that anyway.

And another one here in the anterior placenta gang! 🙋‍♀️😂
We are in the same boat! We are waiting to move still 🙄 im 29 weeks tomorrow and I have low placenta! Have another scan on 12th April for growth and hopefully placenta has moved 🤞🏼 do you have another scan?

Tbh, I've never felt them engage. And 2 of them didn't until labour.
But always had the pressure.
33 weeks is a tad early to engage as normally it isn't until after 34 weeks at least and some not until actual labour.
The pressure has moved round to my groin area now so I’m not really sure what’s happening. Its not sore it’s uncomfortable I feel ok when I sit down it’s when I’m standing up was in work all day on my feet so probably didn’t help

Yeah I put something in the oven earlier for lunch and then was like ‘I don’t actually want that, I’m just eating cause it’s lunchtime.’ The midwife said today it doesn’t matter what you’re eating just as long as you’re eating so just keep that in mind. Just try and eat something. Mines on 24th, feels ages away.
I only got mine moved because it was meant to be on 24th because I have something to that week and I can’t get out of it so she kindly
Moved it. It will be here soon just think it’s less than 3 weeks! It These weeks really are the slowest I think abs I am exactly the same with the food thing but I feel sick again abs all I went to eat is Parmaviolets x

Hi everyone. I'm 31 weeks pregnant and starting to really hope the last weeks fly in ! Feeling very heavy and uncomfortable.

Hope its okay to ask for some advice on this.. my friend recently found out she was pregnant and going on her last period she would have been around 9 weeks last week. She went to a private scan and unfortunately they advised they could only see an egg sac and foetal pole. She was referred to clinic within NHS who told her she had either miscarried very early or was only 4/5 weeks pregnant and had miscalculated her pregnancy dates. So she is booked in for a vaginal scan this week to know for sure what's happening. Has anyone ever heard of this? I'm trying my best to support her as she is in limbo right now! But also I dont know much about it at all. Any thoughts would be helpful x
Yes, I’ve had a couple of miscarriages (now pregnant again) and that’s what happened to my first. Happy to answer any questions

Anyone else on cyclizine? Not sure what I expected but they’re not proving to be any help at all. Only been on them a week so might need to give them more time to work
I was. Didn't find they helped much and made me very drowsy.you can ask your gp for something else 😊
