I just accept I feel sick now at some point everyday sweets and coke are the only things that work oh and mint sweets but they are basically just balls of sugar. I had blood tests on Monday too and they asked me for a sample and I couldn’t go so remember to drink some water before you have your appointment. Was actually nice as it was the lady who rang me for the booking appointment. I am also busy at work and it really doesn’t help my boss keeps asking me things and I really just don’t want to talk to anyoneSickness has hit me hard todayCoinciding with a really busy few days at work too - Sod’s law when things have been quiet since Christmas!
Thanks for the tips I’m going to have a fizzy drink with my lunch!I just accept I feel sick now at some point everyday sweets and coke are the only things that work oh and mint sweets but they are basically just balls of sugar. My first in person thing was arranging for my booking bloods. And then my 12 week scan. Thanks for the tips I’m going to have a fizzy drink with my lunch!
Yeah I’m the same in work today, every time my team message me I’m like please leave me alone
I haven’t actually got a face to face appointment booked yet - I’ve got a phone one with a midwife on 3rd March so maybe I’ll get booked in for something else after that? I’ve heard a lot of people talking about blood tests so I’m sure I’ll have to have them at some point! X
Oh really? I’ll definitely ask my midwife about it. Even my scan letter says to bring my red book with me, which I don’t have and there has been no mention of anywhere else. I’ve got a list of questions for her already haha.My first in person thing was arranging for my booking bloods. And then my 12 week scan.
As for the actual midwife though, wasn't until 28 weeks
I had the over the phone booking thing where they ask you loads of questions then she gave me appointment for the bloods and the same lady who did the call did the bloods on Monday then I am back again next Friday for scan then apparently won’t see community midwife until 16 weeks I do feel like it’s all very over the place however my job is basically organisation so this is all a learning curve. @Lulu Goss omg I am glad I don’t have a team anymore I am even just sick of receiving emailsMy first in person thing was arranging for my booking bloods. I am meant to be going on a virtual pub Crawl (who wants to do this on zoom I don’t know) I am going to have re label my 0% gin x
So relieved for you, great news that everything is all good with babyHi everyone, everything’s okay. Baby’s heart is beating and it had its little legs crossed which was so cute. I’m so relieved. Just got to check in with the EPU now to be signed off - I’ll ask what they think the bleeding is.
Unfortunately my husband had to sit at entrance area of hospital as security guard didn’t let him any further (even though he was let in last time, not to the scan but to the waiting room so he could be there when I came out.) His mom who he has cut off contact with works at the hospital and saw him and approached him and he had to leave. So he’s now stressed out in the car waiting for me and didn’t get to enjoy the moment of finding out everything’s ok as I messaged him right when she came over. crappy moment.
YAAAAAY I am sure we have all been waiting for you to post on here so really happy everything is ok! What did the baby look like on the screen does it resemble a baby or still a little blob? I bet you are feeling very relieved. XHi everyone, everything’s okay. Baby’s heart is beating and it had its little legs crossed which was so cute. I’m so relieved. Red book? The only red book I know of is when the baby is born and its their red book.Oh really? I’ll definitely ask my midwife about it. Even my scan letter says to bring my red book with me, which I don’t have and there has been no mention of anywhere else. I’ve got a list of questions for her already haha.
I haven’t told anyone at work because I know what company is like they will then be asking me to create some kind of transition plan for a new person and who will cover me etc and I really don’t want my job advertised because people will definitely know it’s me as I’m the only one in the uk division who is a woman with that job title I really think it will mither me even more although I feel so tit and tired I am really struggling to get so I feel like I want to say but also don’t want the mother just yet. What was your manager like? I’m glad I am working at homeThat sounds similar to me then!
Haha yeah they’re all lovely but just driving me mad at the moment! I’m just really glad to be working from home though, I think if I was in the office I’d be struggling! I used to have days of back to back meetings so at least now I can look and feel a mess in the comfort of my own home
I’ve told my manager, but that’s it. Once we’ve had the scan I’ll tell my team and colleagues, I’m quite excited to not have to make up excuses for being unwell when I’m off anymore! Have you told work yet?
Anything on zoom these days just requires too much energy haha but at least you can easily hide that you’re not drinking! X
Just reread the letter, pregnancy book not red book! Although I don’t have one of those yet eitherRed book? The only red book I know of is when the baby is born and its their red book.
Not before haha. So no clue what that is about!
Haha thank you. Baby is like a big jelly bean with arms and legs. That’s the only way I can describe it lol. Yes so relieved, just got home and cuddling with the dog and having a cup of tea and chocolate chip cookiesYAAAAAY I am sure we have all been waiting for you to post on here so really happy everything is ok! You usually get it at your 12 week scanJust reread the letter, pregnancy book not red book! Although I don’t have one of those yet either![]()
Ah I get you. It’s hard when you don’t want people to know too early isn’t it. Maybe see how you get on but if you can’t hold out any longer just tell your direct manager and ask them to keep it a secret until you’re comfortable telling more people. I have a girl in my team who’s 6 months pregnant and she still hasn’t told anyone else at work except me! Although she won’t be handing her job over when she goes so it is a bit different.I haven’t told anyone at work because I know what company is like they will then be asking me to create some kind of transition plan for a new person and who will cover me etc and I really don’t want my job advertised because people will definitely know it’s me as I’m the only one in the uk division who is a woman with that job title I really think it will mither me even more although I feel so tit and tired I am really struggling to get so I feel like I want to say but also don’t want the mother just yet.
