Yeah it was crazy! Literally just a tiny little bean shape on the screen, can’t quite believe it’s in there. Massive relief to see it - I had all these irrational fears that there would be nothing in there and I’d imagined the whole thing 😂 Sorry you’re feeling rubbish 😞 was it the seedlip stuff you’ve got? It’s quite nice with tonic but not so much without!

Keep getting all these ads for them on insta! Guess they’re more for later pregnancy when you can’t lie on your front or back. I’m quite tempted - not sure my husband will be so keen on having one take up the entire bed 🤣
Yeah I just did some Googling and people definitely recommend them. I’m guessing I’m going to get pretty big so I might benefit from one.

Congrats on your scan today btw xxxxx

Hi newbie to the thread 👋
Can I ask, has everyone been having their booking appointments in person or video/telephone call?
Mine was over the phone back in May. Didn’t have a face to face appt till 16 weeks. Booking bloods were done at my 12 week scan.

Oh yes encapsulation of placenta... thoughts? Is it just some strange fad or is it actually a thing done by more people than just celebrities?

I’ve now discovered they haven’t been using track and trace. But OH worked with him all day Thursday and the positive test was taken Friday lunchtime. His work has told him to stay home and we have decided he should stay away from me. We have a completely self contained area so it seems sensible he use it.

The ECV, it’s at the birthing uni, you just couldn’t put people at risk. I believe they ask if you’ve been in contact with anyone positive and wouldn’t let him in anyway.
If there’s been a positive test then that will be passed to track and trace regardless I’d have thought? Don’t need the app

Can I check with anyone doing this for the second or more time - is 3 newborn plus 3 0-3m sleepsuits ok for hospital bag (with vests as well)? On the off chance I have to stay a night or two (any longer and would get husband to bring stuff in). Just planning for covid-birth and likely limited partner visiting

All i see is a prominent single red line, what does that mean?
Single line means negative, however there’s a faint line there also on the other side, they say a lines a line! I had a similar result with my son very faint, I’m not convinced though as I have one more test still to do and this already has a line on it? However it’s not been used x

Slight cramps again today and some brown spotting. Trying to tell myself it’s ok but it’s still worrying. I’m glad we have a scan again on Saturday but I am tempted to see if they can get us in earlier to check it’s all ok in there.
Hopefully everything is okay.
I had brown blood at around 6/7 weeks with all my pregnancies. The people in the EPU said it was implantation bleeding as they carry on burying further.
Brown is a good sign though as it's old blood.

I downloaded what to expect and it’s cool it tells you the size each week and also has info to read also a community to talk on but I find majority of women are American 🇺🇸 so the care they receive seems very different but still nice to talk to people who are due the same time there are literally thousands on the September due date there is a forum for everyone x
Thanks I’ll have a look at that one! I’ve got Emma’s Diary but there’s only so many times a day you can look at the same one 😂 x

Now she rang back to cancel because I am 6 and a bit weeks absolute jokers. What am I to expect for this blood work if I ever get it done? X
My booking appointment was at 10 weeks and then she got me an appointment for the week after at a centre where they were doing a bunch of bloods in one go

So my friend mentioned it and it’s not something I am interested in but I didn’t think people actually did it x

Please don’t feel like this your uterus doesn’t hang out 😂 and you don’t smell like a corpse, I’ve had 2 natural births with no pain relief and it was absolutely fine, you can listen to your body and it will do what it needs to do, have you thought about hypno birthing?

I gave birth during lockdown last year and I was really worried but it was no different to my first birth except having to wear a face mask, I was glad people couldn’t come and visit after 😂 I was allowed home 4 hours after I gave birth to
I actually saw this other thread as well and it scared me so I have stopped reading it some of the things peoples say I think is awful and too far and also scares people into thinking they can’t do something don’t read there because it will just make you anxious which none of us need especially when it’s so far fetched x

Hi little pup,

I can’t be too sure of dates as I come of my pill 8 weeks ago and haven’t had a period! I have been doing regular pregnancy tests though and the first positive I got was 2 weeks ago! So I think I’m literally only around 4-5 weeks but this is worked out from time of conception as the clear blue I took this morning said 1-2 weeks.
Thanks for your reply ❤ Xxx
If was just wondering how far off you’d be from the EPU being able to do an internal scan. Have they said anything about that?
There are some calculators online that would allow you to enter conception date if you know that but I can see how not knowing the length of your cycle will make it difficult from LMP date.

I was trying to think of something constructive to suggest really but I guess the best I can say is rest and take care of yourself. Many women bleed in early pregnancy, it’s not a guarantee it’s the end. Will be thinking of you x

Aw ❤ have you had your blood pressure checked?
I had headaches for about 2 weeks straight and then they went.
At around 12 weeks
I've not had it checked since my booking appointment which was before Christmas, I'll phone my midwife and see what they are saying.

It's so debilitating I hate it 😭

How many weeks would you be?

If you’ve not had any symptoms of Ectopic I’d think they’re just saying it to cover themselves.
Sadly as above, it’s a watch and wait because they can’t do anything for you until you know for sure. In a way, with these early tests we know too early i

The ickle bubba, have you looked at the reviews?
I think it’s that version. You have to un clip both sides of the car seat at the same time which you can’t do and lift it up. It’s a massive faff trying to shimmy one side, use your knee/elbow, or you need two people.

I didn’t want to spend £1k on a pram I don’t know how much we’ll use either hence the second hand but I’d rather have done so than been unable to manage by myself getting in and out the car, difficult up/down mechanism, catching a finger everytime on poor build etc. You really need to have a go with them and see because there is a big difference, I was surprised
That's good to know, I hadn't come across any comments about the car seat, but I'll have a look into it. Thank you.

Yeah when I went to the hospital my husband wasn’t allowed in so I know he won’t be for my future hospital scans. He could come to private ones though. We’re going again next Saturday to check on them. No it’s ok. Yeah I think we’re around the same. They’ll tell you what you’re measuring at at the scan and tell you a due date so just go by that when you know :) I’m due September 3rd but obviously as it’s twins it’ll be more like early August (if I’m lucky).
I recon we are the same too because when she measured me it said 2.8 which was more than 5 on the chart says 5 weeks 3 days so that makes me 7 and 2 today but then again it could be completely wrong who knows haha I would love an august baby! I always used to say I wanted twins I think it’s marvellous 👶👶 xx
