Just rang the screening team in regards to my low Papp a number it was left off the form and depending on the number depends on the dosage of asprin, the head of department answered the phone she took my details and was shocked that two people had checked the results that were sent out and they were wrong I don't have low Papp a (increased risk or early birth, preeclampsia and low birth weight) my result was actually normal, she apologised and wanted to raise an internal complaint I told her it's fine but she was adamant 🙈 so if any of you get your screening results back with no number on there I would give them a call just incase!
Ah that’s good news, well done for chasing it up to check. You must be relieved.

Yeah I think I will ask about medication because I’m finding it hard to function some days. I was worrying that I’m not giving the baby enough nutrients but after looking on the NHS website I don’t feel too concerned now. I honestly have the biggest admiration for people who do this more than once :ROFLMAO:
You kinda forget how shit the shit bits are after a while 🤣 that said this is my last. I couldn’t survive this sickness again.

They ask you about 5 million questions at booking appointments some are quite personal 😂 I remember some of them being have you ever had sex for money, have you ever taken drugs, have you ever been abused by your partner, loads of mental health questions ... suppose they need to know! 🙈
I got asked none of this stuff. And when I received my notes later I saw they ticked on the paperwork that they had!

Hi everyone, just thought I’d give an update. I’ve been into hospital today as I had some really bad pains down my leg and abdomen, had bloods done etc and they have confirmed an early loss, I’m obviously sad however I also feel somewhat relieved as I can accept it and move on and start again next cycle. I wish everyone the best of luck with their pregnancies and I hope to be back on this thread again soon ❤ Take care everyone and thanks for all the advice and support xxxx
Really sorry to read this. Take care and be kind to yourself xx

Hi everyone, follow up from yesterday’s faint positive, I started bleeding heavy at 4am and it’s stopped around dinner time today. I have taken this cheap Amazon test around half a hour ago and stopped bleeding, still showing a faint positive. I think it’s probably been a chemical.. what do you think I should do? Do I need to ring the doctors or just let nature take it’s course? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you xx
I wouldn’t ring the doctor yet, I’d see how the bleeding goes and Mabye try and test again in a few days, they probably won’t see you just now unless you were certain you were pregnant and then started bleeding x

I don't know if it makes you feel any better but at my 35 and 38 week scan, my first baby was measuring on track for 6lbs, at the 40 week scan, he measured just under 7lbs. When he was born 6 days later, he was just shy of 11lbs 😂
Bet that was a shock!!! Mine have always gone the other way, I’ve been told they’ll be huge and they are just average.

If it is positive in a urine sample you sent off, yes, you should get a course of antibiotics for the UTI. Did your letter come from your GP? You can usually give them a ring to get your prescription. Your gestation, the sensitivities for the UTI (what kills it when microbiology grew it in the lab) and your own medical history will dictate which antibiotic they give you but it should be a short course for about a week. You'll still be offered IV antibiotics (on a drip) in labour for baby as the antibiotics you'll get at the moment are just for the UTI. 😊
thank you 🙂🙂🙂 It was tested at the hospital, the maternity assessment unit, so the letter came from them. Doesn’t say what to do next though, just that I’ve got it, but when i read the microbiology form it says about it being present in my urine so thought I’d better chase for the antibiotics x

I can see the second line now! X

Haha that's normal 😂
Same as your hair. Although I never notice a difference 😂
I’ve never noticed it before! Could may well have happened in previous pregnancies but maybe by then I couldn’t see my feet to tell 🤣🤣 My hair always grows and sheds like a beast, and my finger nails are normal. Just my beastly toenails!

I usually do 3x newborn vests & sleepsuits and then 3x “up to 1 month”/“up to 10lbs” vests and sleepsuits. Even if you have a heftier baby, I find they fit in those. My second was almost 9lbs and fitted fine in newborn. 0-3 will likely drown a newbie.

I also bag mine up in wee sandwich bags together, with the size on the front, so you can grab a full set easily.
I’ve been told to bring 0-3 in case he is very long? To be honest the newborn ones I have are all different sizes when you compare them! Reluctant to spend lots of money on newborn/first size when he’ll only be in it for a few weeks - I have 7 newborn sleepsuits in total?? Not sure if that’s enough??

I’ve got sleepsuits/vest/nappy in sandwich bags labelled with the size 😉

Question to the people who have had csections previously... How long did you have to stay in afterwards?
One week after my first (it was an emergency cesarean and we only stayed in because baby and I were poorly). Second was an elective and I was only in 24 hours before I got to take baby home.

Hi everyone, I have tried to make my own thread however it’s not letting me so I hope you don’t mind me posting in here. I’m after some advice because I’m honestly worried sick and don’t know if I can take another week of not knowing. I found out I was pregnant on 16th jan started heavy bleeding the next day for 2 days, this then stopped. I thought I had a chemical pregnancy and EPU told me to test every couple of days and if it was negative it would be a chemical. I had my HCG levels checked last Monday which were 21 and today again and they are 53 I’m aware this is very low and doesn’t look good for a progressive pregnancy. They said they can rule out a possible ectopic and don’t want to see me again until next Tuesday if I still have a positive pregnancy test? I’m so so worried, I honestly thought they would want to do bloods again to monitor? Especially if it’s a possible ectopic! I have had no pain or bleeding since I last bled. Sorry for the long post I’m just looking for some sort or reassurance 😢😢😢 xx

My midwife is making noises about an elective section. I havnt had one with previous births.
How bad do you feel after a section? Is it a lot of pain, can you manage to do household things and care for baby? My husband doesn’t and won’t pull his weight round the house, 99% of the time I’m ok with it but if I had a section and couldn’t do anything for my other children there would be a problem.
I have just tried to request an elective section after a 3rd degree tear and have ended up with an appointment for a second opinion because she keeps basically telling me no and I have no need and it isn't worth the risks 😑

Thank you for all the lovely messages 💖 I’m still gonna loiter around on this thread to see how everyone’s getting on. Wishing you all happy and healthy pregnancies ☺

I know everyone is biased but she’s such a little beauty, she’s like a doll and I can’t stop staring at her 🥰
🥰🥰🥰 what a little pet! How are you both getting on? Any word of getting home today?

Had a sore head now for 4 days, nothing is shifting it 😭 please tell me this isn't going to last the whole time 😳

I was prone to migraines before I got pregnant but had them really well controlled and now this 😩 I'm literally taking the max dose of paracetamol and surely that cannot be a good thing!

Don't think I've stopped crying all morning 😂 needed a wee vent I'm sorry 🙈
Aw ❤ have you had your blood pressure checked?
I had headaches for about 2 weeks straight and then they went.
At around 12 weeks

who has told you that you can’t out of interest? I’ve had two breast reconstructions but I’m still hopefully I will be able to breastfeed😊
Sorry I haven’t replied to your comment sooner, only just seen it. For my procedure they had to cut the milk duct to my nipples and couldn’t fix it cause they’re so delicate I believe?
I was told by the surgeon who did it that I won’t be able to breastfeed, My mum had to sign a disclaimer to say it was ok to go ahead knowing that I can’t breastfeed in the future

Can I check with anyone doing this for the second or more time - is 3 newborn plus 3 0-3m sleepsuits ok for hospital bag (with vests as well)? On the off chance I have to stay a night or two (any longer and would get husband to bring stuff in). Just planning for covid-birth and likely limited partner visiting
I would say its fine. My last I stayed overnight and had 4 of each with me and did end up using all 4 though 😂 and she didn't even fit in the newborn 🤦🏻‍♀️😂

Yeah I totally get that too 🤢 my partner tried to make me an egg mayo wrap and I think the look I must've given him was enough to scare him off 😂🤮
I was offered bacon and I literally smelt it and felt awful really having to push myself to eat something but I didn’t think I had morning sickness until i realised I feel nauseous everyday maybe mine isn’t that bad it’s the thought of things flips my tummy xx also egg Mayo the smell haha I would have done an odd face too x

Got myself psyched up for induction. Knew it possibly would be too busy on the ward and it is 🙈 We’ve also got loads of snow so very unlikely they will ask me to come in later on. Partner is flapping incase I go into labour naturally today as we most likely wouldn’t make it if I had another fast labour.
Ah does this mean they have cancelled it? Or delayed it? That’s pooey ☹
