Congratulations XX . Don’t take anymore of the weeks tests. I did and mine never went up, I was getting myself into a right state thinking why are the numbers going up. But everything was fine. And when I mentioned it on a baby site some mums said these tests were banned in some countries xx

Don’t worry that you’ve been drinking. Assuming you’ve just missed a period and found out, baby hasn’t started using the placenta yet and taking nutrients from you, so they won’t have had anything from your drink. Congratulations!

Thank you so much! I’m on beta blockers for my heart so I know I will have to come off them, so I will need to ring and find out what I need to do next regarding my heart.
Dont stop your medication without medical supervision. I would contact your gp asap in regards to beta blockers, some are safe durung pregnancy. Congratulations in your pregnancy x

Congratulations to you too hun. I’m glad you feel the same as me because all day Iv been thinking about it! I so wanted to be pregnant and was only crying about it the other day and now I’m here I’m wondering why I’m not jumping for joy. I don’t think it helps being at home by myself while my partner is working and my mind is in overtime. I keep wondering if il be a good mum, about money, about Covid , about how my life will change and how I my body will feel etc. I’m almost embarrassed saying about saying this and guilty because Iv wanted this for so so long. I’m almost confused by it. I’m sure when my partner gets home I will feel a lot better, I’m just in shock I think. Will you let me know how you get on throughout? Xx

Don’t feel guilty at all! Pregnancy, and then having a baby, IS a huge change. It’s only natural to worry about how all that will affect you, and how you will feel. It’s a really emotional time, and nothing you feel is wrong. But I always think that people who worry about being a good mum ARE a good mum. The crap ones don’t care! So you’re already doing a great job, and I hate to say it but the feeling of “am I a good enough mum?” Sticks around. Mum guilt is real and it starts right away!

Thank you so much, it’s so nice to have some reassurance as being alone with my thoughts is very overwhelming at the moment. I keep having waves of excitement and waves of absolute fear. Iv always wanted to be a mum and Iv got a wonderful partner who will be an amazing Dad. We’ve got a great relationship and I’m worrying it will change everything. But this baby is very much wanted and it’s all I’ve ever yearned for for years now. I suppose I just have to allow these thoughts and let it sink in and get my head around it. I’m sure when he gets home from work and gives me a cuddle I will feel so much better xxx

Sometimes when you get what you’ve wanted for so long it can be overwhelming! You and your partner are going to be wonderful parents 😊 yes your relationship will change. Mine has with my husband, and not always for the better. Being a mum is a totally different kettle of fish to being a dad, even though both are parents in equal rights and both love that baby just as much. Dads do not seem to get mum guilt (hence the name I suppose 🤣) for starters!

Just take some time to let it sink in, and be kind to yourself. It is a huge deal, growing another human being is kind of spectacular to be able to do! But it’s also hard bloody work!

There’s no guidebook on how to feel, and personally I found all of my pregnancies a rollercoaster. You’re excited, you’re terrified, you’re suddenly considering so many things that you hadn’t thought about before. But just like what was said further up, the good mams are the ones who worry (and the worry doesn’t stop, even once they’re here😂). You will be absolutely grand - congratulations to you and your partner! x

All these pregnancies are making me really miss it!

Even though we planned both of ours and I was so happy to he pregnant, I cried after each test through fear, guilt and relief. Its totally normal. I asked my midwife on my booking in for my second whether it was normal for me to feel like i was neglecting my eldest by giving them a sibling, as i would have to split my time. She gave me loads of reassurance and was great, she Will probably never know how much she helped me in that moment.

Congratulations x

I always end up broody when talking about pregnancies 😌 Even though mine were all preemies and my labours were definitely not what I’d wish on anyone. I miss feeling their little kicks and hiccups through the day, like your own little secret. And of course, that newborn smell and how tiny they were!😭 But four is absolutely our limit - my nerves would not survive another😂

It's funny isn't it. Being pregnant can be so awful at times; exhaustion, sickness, heartburn, constipation, sore ribs etc etc. But yet after the baby is born you kinda miss it!

No I wouldn’t worry, sometimes they don’t darken overly much.

Step away from the pee sticks 😂 In all seriousness, it’s really common for your lines not to darken. My little girl, I was convinced something would go wrong early on because my lines were never very dark. Try not to worry! ❤

Don’t even need a pregnancy test now, that was test enough 😂😂😂

The list of things I can’t eat or do because of the smell is pretty endless. Pasta is my new hate, cant even stand the thought of it. And I can do nothing with the dishwasher any more. Even when it’s been on and all the dishes are clean the smell makes me gag 🤢🤢
