Positive pregnancy test

The first one looks positive to me, the second not so much unless it’s just the lighting. Get a whole bunch of them from the pound shop I’m in my first pregnancy and was surprised how much early pregnancy symptoms can be the exact same as period symptoms, particularly the cramping which feels just like period pain, boob tenderness too. Don't know how true this is but I think you can have a false positive but not a false negative.

I always thought the opposite was true with pregnancy tests. False negatives are more likely as you may be getting a negative result due to it being too early to determine.

If the test is showing a positive result at all (even faintly) then it is detecting the hormone in your pee.

I thought it would be clearer with first morning wee than so faint, I turned the brightness down in the photo cos it is really bright in here don't know if I should do that but see it clearer now? I don't know there's a part of my still like don't believe it

I suppose if you are around 3 weeks you should be due on your period soon so wait and see if you miss it (I know this is not the case for all pregnancies as some people still have bleeding around their period dates/just have irregular periods regardless( and take another test to confirm in a couple of weeks if you’re not 100% sure. Most tests will give you a full positive if you are after your missed period. Glad you are happy with the news xx

Yeah I'd say as most tests say to test from first day of missed period, it's still pretty early to tell. I'd wait for your missed period and that should confirm it and then if you're still not sure, wait until 3 or 4 days past your due period and do another clear blue or similar first thing

I had a very very faint positive with both mine, as I tested quite early. Give it a few days, and try again but it looks positive to me x

Good luck OP! As others have said those digitals aren't as sensitive so if it's early days then they won't necessarily give you a positive yet. I'd recommend a First Response early detection test or just a regular clear blue one to confirm. Although many people say the Clear Blue ones are rubbish, but I always got a clearish line on mine even early on. Basically if you're pregnant, literally any test will tell you so once you're late on.

Second test is definitely a positive! Definitely try a FRER, and maybe a digital in a few days

It takes around 48hrs for HCG levels to double, so you may not see a huge change in the colour/darkness of your line from one day to the next at this stage

Awh hehe bless you, yeah I got one and two clearer lines. It won't let me upload a picture on here now it's saying due to low memory? Is it something up with tattle anyone know or is it just my phone? Awh I feel so sick ( I don't know if it's too early for that and it's just stress) but still have cramp pains too and so tired it's like half 7 and I want to go bed lol xx

Sounds like early pregnancy indeed! My sickness this time hit at 4 weeks exactly, and I think you said you’ve already missed your period, so it’s totally possible for nausea to start now.

Early pregnancy tiredness was like jet lag to me. Like another level, hit by a train, exhaustion. It soon passed mind you. There are so many symptoms you never hear of. Cramps, nose bleeds, headaches, sore gums, needing a wee all the time even before you get a bump, itchy hair... The smell of my own hair made me vom no matter how many different shampoos I tried it’s a crazy journey - so many things disappear as easy as they came though. There’s always reassurance on google, forums and pregnancy apps, FB groups etc. Congratulations to you xx

I just kept buying more and more to double check and then analyse the lines and torture myself!

Yes I did this right up until my 12 week scan, must have spent an absolute fortune on tests. Just couldn’t believe it was true xx

Ha ha same. Even when the lines were so dark I just kept double checking. Its such a nerve wracking time though.

I did the same!! I had a vision that I would go for my 12 week scan and they would say, erm actually you aren't pregnant at all and you never have been. I must have taken at least one a week.x
