Yeah it is quite a bit but not loads and bright red. I just have the back pains that I've for the past week x
I'd advise going to A&E, or an early pregnancy unit if you have one (A&E can refer you). Sometimes women bleed during pregnancy for no sinister reason. I hope all is ok xxx

I called 111 and they said because I'm only 5 weeks to just see if it gets any heavier then go to the hospital and if it doesn't everything could be okay. Just rest and in a week take another pregnancy test and if it's still positive would be okay but if it's not it most likely is chemical pregnancy/ early miscarriage xx

there is literally nothing that you will get done if you go to A&E at this stage in a pregnancy. Unless the bleeding is uncontrollably heavy, the advice would be to stay at home and monitor it. It may stop, and the pregnancy may carry on or unfortunately it may signal that the pregnancy has been lost. But there’s nothing that could be done to stop that if that’s what’s happening.

@SkinnyTurkeyDinosaur thinking of you lovely. As others have said bleeding is really common in pregnancy, and it can be absolutely fine. I know how scary it is to start bleeding, I’ve been where you are, and I it’s just the most awful feeling. Rest up, keep an eye on your blood flow, and let your oh take care of you. X

Don’t panic, it’s not 100%, my cousin bled everyday for the first two months and her baby is here now and perfect. Call the hospital/speak to the midwife and they will get you into the early pregnancy assessment for a scan. Lots of love xx

Edit: it takes a few days for the pregnancy hormone to clear so you would still show pregnant on a test for a few days after you weren’t. Get a scan and be sure IMO

Ok so this happened to me.

we were trying to get pregnant, I knew when my period was due, it was late so I took a test. It was positive. I did a clear blue digital - it was also positive showing 1-2 weeks which put me at around 4-5 weeks pregnant going by my last period. All fine. 4 days later I started bleeding - light at first then it turned heavier like a normal period. I took another 3 pregnancy tests over the coming days and all still said pregnant, I was still bleeding. I phoned the midwife (who I hadn’t even seen yet for the inital booking in appointment) and she said that it was likely to be a chemical pregnancy and that the only thing to do was wait and see if the bleeding stopped and then check another pregnancy test after a few days. She said that the hospital wouldn’t offer a scan or anything at that early stage because it’s extremely common and unlikely to be anything seriously wrong - lots of women experience chemical pregnancies and never even know, they just assume it’s a period. A few days later the bleeding had started to tail off, I did another test and it was negative. 3 months later I fell pregnant again and that pregnancy resulted in our eldest son 🥰

All you can do is give your body time and then do another test in a few days/a week. Take it from there.

all the best xx

I really hope that everything is okay.
My sister bled early on in her pregnancy and now has a healthy 1 year old.
I can't imagine how stressful this must feel for you right now. Thinking of you, praying for your wellbeing 💛

Thank you everyone x
Sending you lots of love❤ I bled on and off with our youngest (and rainbow) baby and he’s now the 3 year old currently snoring on me. It’s a horrible worry and the wait is awful. Be gentle on yourself (and eat lots of chocolate).

I think you should try and go to an early pregnancy unit. I bled in early pregnancy around 8 weeks and was advised to go there. Where I live, you didn’t need an appointment you just turn up (however this was before Covid). As I was only 8 weeks I had an internal ultrasound which was uncomfortable but not painful. Unfortunately I was miscarrying but there are plenty or normal instances of bleeding in early pregnancy such as implantation bleeding. Personally I couldn’t have just waited to see what happened. Good luck x
