Exactly this- I’m an early years teacher - after secondary school training- I just let my kids be. We have meaningful conversations, then I’m like , go and do on your own!!!! Too much helicopter parenting !Why does she bother with the homemade slime/play-doh/whatever old crap she knocked up today only to openly admit vesper isn’t bothered about playing with it?!
It’s an insane amount of effort even if the kid did want to play with it. I think if I went to all that fuss and my kid wasn’t arsed I’d lob the truff tray across that football pitch sized garden.
But then I am slightly mentally unstable

(I'm not thin myself but I'm not a slimming world consultant getting paid to help aid people's weight loss ) it's quite laughable she's still got the slimming world in her name. Personally i think they shouldnt be allowed a consultant job whilst being so overweight themselves!

And the ones that don't gain it back have eating disorders or at the very least disordered, unhealthy habits.
A friend of mine developed bulemia after following SW for so long, she turned her life around but it shows how dangerous it is.
