I think that's a Wiki error about the daughers. She's definitely Molly Schofield on her work e-mail. It's fairly common for wives to keep their own surnames especially for work and in the kind of circles they are in.

I did wonder whether or not they used her dad's name to show who she is or be more recognised. I'll do some research and see if it is just an error

Thank you for this. She has the opportunity to meet someone else and be happy just like Phillip can.
Exactly this perhaps she was the one who decided she didn’t want to be with him any more and he took the opportunity to let the whole world know he was gay and cover up the bullying accusations...two birds with one stone maybe?

Regards to Philip Schofield I just feel ok whatever, but some of the comments on this thread have made me feel so sad for people coming out.
I was fortunate to live in Brighton/Hove for many years growing up and working there. I worked with many gay people and it was just normal society. We had wonderful times working socialising and I’m going back many many years ago.
It’s just unbelievable that there are still other places in this country that are still so bloody ignorant.
Nobody's objecting to, or damming anyone 'coming out' We all have gay friends/relatives/workmates.
What is being discussed here is the nasty undertones to all this, the hypocrisy, and the condemnation of people being 'stunning and brave,' at the expense of their spouse and family.
There's more to this than has yet come out, and it's blatantly apparent.
Also, be as gay as you like, but stop treating it like a form of sainthood, when it's actually just where you choose to put your genitals.

sorry to be a bit off topic for this thread, but when I looked at the James Grant Management roster of tv clients, it made me wonder how anyone who isn't managed by JG gets an on screen job on ITV. They seem to dominate it which is why every new programme is presented by the same old faces. I imagine it is difficult for applicants to be taken on as a client of JG, so it is a bit like a closed shop. I admit I know nothing of how the television industry operates. I was annoyed to see nepotism in the form of one of the Schofield girls getting a good job with JM. As I said, sorry to be offtopic.

Exactly! And I don't think it's off topic. JGM have way too much bleeping power especially when it comes to their ability to cover the nasty stuff up or at least sanistising what the public, who make them very wealthy, get to hear.

This is awful. So many young people take out large student loans to study relevant media courses and they either don't get an opportunity, or they've got to work as a jumped up office junior and probably don't get much further than that. Has anyone noticed that celebrities' kids always want to be on tv, film industry or a model. I'd shake the hand of any of them who qualified as a nurse, teacher or ambulance driver.

According to the Daily Mail, a crisis management agency has been used before for Schofield's situations with other presenters. I am probably being naive here, but I wish ITV would redress the balance of how many clients of JG they use. I remember during the Ant McPartlin divorce/car crash there was an article about JG and they seem to actively encourage their clients to socialise together, holiday together, buy holiday homes in Portugal and to choose their new partner from someone in the JG organisation. In other words, JG control their clients' lives. It's like an entertainment industry cult. They're the new Manson Family:LOL:

I graduated in 2015 with a media degree and I can confirm the only people from that course that work within the media industry got there jobs because of a family member already working for the company.

That's why you don't see anyone different presenting on ITV.
