The person I know who works on TM who told me he was gay a couple of years ago also said Rylan and a number of other guests/presenters will only do Friday or holidays to avoid Phil. It’s been known in “the business” for years he’s gay and he’s had relationships.
Perfectly timed announcement to deflect from the fact he’s not a nice person.

I don't watch very often anymore but I did like Phil and Holly. I think all of this going on will push them to leave now (maybe not immediately but in the near future).
My hope would be for Rylan and Alison to present it, love them both

Rylan and Alison presenting it together would be a glorious mess! They would be hysterical. I love them both. Alison is hysterical, her interview with Ryan Gosling and Harrison Ford is legendary.

Pip is a nasty control freak. I know someone who used to be a runner in the show and she said he was a mysogynist who controlled everything. He handpicked holly to make himself look good and he has the final say on those who do segments. He makes my skin crawl.

His career wasn’t going well at the time of John Leslie’s sacking and it was Fern who suggested Phillip as his replacement. Then it seems he got too big for his boots and now thinks he runs the show.

I liked him and Fern but once she left he became too arrogant. I can’t stand him and Holly presenting so stopped watching years ago.

I’m sure he’ll still come out of this hiccup smelling of roses!

That makes total sense, she wont have been immune from the rumours of him kissing/sleeping with men around his workplace. So you'd think this would've all come to light sooner had she truly been in the dark about his sexuality.
I think that was his way of letting people know, that he hasn't hurt her, he's never lied to her and she's always known.
It felt like an extremely rehearsed interview. Something he has obviously thought about a lot.

I agree, to me his answers were highly rehearsed, scripted, and not genuine. I found it annoying how he was sitting there with his shoulders slumped and whispering his answers out for maximum effect. He's gay! So what? I thought he was dying the way he was carrying on.

1. No one, literally NO ONE is surprised he's gay.
2. The way he chose to come out was unnecessarily dramatic as fuck.
3. Yes, the timing is suspicious..
4. In no way does this change the fact he's an enormous prick.

Gay or not he's still a cunt. Suddenly coming out doesn't stop you being a cunt. This is purely a pr stunt to either make him look good or he was about to be out.
He now thinks because he's come out as gay he is untouchable and that's probably true. Any bad press will be labelled homophobic like MM calls all bad press racism.
Also why the fuck does it matter who is fucking who. As long as it's consensual it doesn't really doesn't matter. It's 20 fucking 20.
