God, I hope none of you ever have to go through coming out. The comments here are absolutely awful. It must have been heartbreaking to realise that you're living a life you're not meant to. Also, love is more than about who you're currently kissing so I do not think that his wife has been living a "wasted life" you all need to realise what it's like for homosexual people to admit their truths. No wonder so many people stay in the closet when comments like these ones are being made.
couldn't have said it better myself, I came out as a gay woman just after an 8 year relationship with a man( who is still one of my best friends), it's truly horrible but was fed up living a lie, it doesn't matter when, all that matters is that he's being honest with himself, yes his wife may or may not have known, for all we know she could be gay too.. bottom line is nobody knows what goes on 🌈

I cannot understand how Lorraine Kelly has been in that slot for so long. Her voice is so irritating. Not so much her accent, but the pitch of her voice.
I can’t stand her, she’s SO fake. Crap at interviews, all she does is coo over people and spout cliches like “bless you”. She never really listens to what people say. Always seems like she’s in a rush to be finished! She literally works for 50minutes a day, term time only! 🙄 Tax dodger.

His demeanour throughout that interview was a pity party for one, with such a dramatic edge that I think even he believed his own performance for a moment.

People aren’t stupid and body language speaks volumes. He’s allegedly not a popular man among his colleagues and there must be a reason for that. Just because WillowBarbie is his ‘bestie’, doesn’t mean a thing. Not many people are overly fond of her either.

I’d love to be a fly on the wall/drone in the hall in the Holmes/Langsford household tonight, for sure.

let me get this right MM has moved to another show?
Yes. 'Loose Women'. His move was covered in The Mirror in December, I think. Strange for a runner on a programme to attract an article about their job change in a national newspaper. I think the Mirror was trying to give hints.

Well of course he's been gay all his life ,it's not just a quick turnaround hence why now?
as be said numerous times on this thread, imo, his image has been tarnished,
All we’re hearing is “bullying, the crew don’t like Philip, he’s rude, he’s not nice to work with”
Piers Morgan had a dig at him on loose women.

he needs the tide to turn, he needs the audience to support for him and fight for him.

perfect timing.
he’s not dating anyone, he’s not in a relationship, there is no need for this to be made public,
But making it public has made him very popular all of a sudden.

ita excellent PR.

I just don’t get why big announcements of sexuality are needed in this day and age. Why should there be an issue with love, lust, attraction or whatever between consenting adults of whatever genders.
Yes there is obviously something he had to work through with his family but working in the public doesn’t mean you have to tell all. Find it all a bit attention seeking

What I don't get about this is why announce it especially on TV , why not just get on with being gay quietly ..nobody cares 🤷
And why on a Friday when him and Holly don't even work on Fridays? It's obvious he had been informed a story was going to be 'coming out' in the press.

I love Rylan, from his auditioning to be Katie Price’s assistant to where he is now, he was always upfront about wanting to be famous and I admire his honesty. Funny how some people think Rylan would be a total diva and judgemental.
All I can think of is Phil in the Kim Woodburn interview, watching it again you think Kim had the measure of Phil.

Yes, it's a definite press practice. When they can't run the real story - I'm not sure on the exact rules but I don't think they can actually just directly "out" someone - they can tap dance around it. Often, you'll see a story that appears to make no sense or have no context or they'll be a flurry of inconsequential articles and then eventually the real story will come out*

I think this is what was happening with PS. The leakage started with Amanda Holden breaking rank and JGM have been trying to hold back the tide (unsuccessfully) ever since - the negative articles just kept coming and the press finally got what they wanted. I think that's why PS has lost weight - not because he's struggling with his sexuality at all (he's clearly been out for YEARS) but because he knew it was all going to come out and he didn't want the public knowing

*I read the blind items thread on the Digital Spy forums 😂

I don’t think anyone is saying this is a stunt and he isn’t gay. People are questioning his timing with all his bad press recently. Just seems too convenient.

Maybe his wife has known and been happy with her life? She has 2 beautiful children, holidays, a lovely home and a companion who she is obviously fond of and vice versa. Maybe that’s been enough for her? I do think the timing is very suspicious and certainly a damage limitation exercise but I don’t think we can say how Steph feels until she’s told her side of the story.

Regards to Philip Schofield I just feel ok whatever, but some of the comments on this thread have made me feel so sad for people coming out.
I was fortunate to live in Brighton/Hove for many years growing up and working there. I worked with many gay people and it was just normal society. We had wonderful times working socialising and I’m going back many many years ago.
It’s just unbelievable that there are still other places in this country that are still so bloody ignorant.
Nobody's objecting to, or damming anyone 'coming out' We all have gay friends/relatives/workmates.
What is being discussed here is the nasty undertones to all this, the hypocrisy, and the condemnation of people being 'stunning and brave,' at the expense of their spouse and family.
There's more to this than has yet come out, and it's blatantly apparent.
Also, be as gay as you like, but stop treating it like a form of sainthood, when it's actually just where you choose to put your genitals.

I absolutely think it’s true. I think fame has gone to his head and thinks he’s invincible. He used to be enjoyable to watch and relatively relatable. Now I think he’s rude and pulls weird faces when a guest is talking. He’s also morphing into Kermit the frog 🐸

I reckon someone was about to expose his little secret.. just seemed a bit random for him to declare it today🤔 he could of done it during the summer holidays when him & his whole family were tucked away somewhere, & then after a few weeks everything would of slightly settled down & they could of faced the cameras together

Cowell is definitely gay. Not a doubt in my mind. Why do you think his "exes" always get a house and a TV career? Watch the Louis Theroux documentary he did with Max Clifford (if you can - it used to always get removed as soon as it appeared) Very illuminating. The only bad thing about Clifford dying is all the secrets about Cowell he took with him.

I've long suspected Dec is gay too but his family are staunch Roman Catholics and he is practising. Nearly became a priest! But I swear I have more chemistry with my postman than he does with his wife. They look like mother and son.

Ant is the shagger/drunk/cokehead.

James Grant management have a lot to answer for.
