I’m not at all shocked. Even from the broom cupboard I thought he maybe gay. It’s the big drama of coming out I don’t totally understand. It doesn’t change who he is. Although I can understand it’s difficult for Steph and his girls. Other than that it’s his business. Uugghhh I’m not explaining myself well. Basically not shocked, big drama coming out.

Yasssss, I've always thought Phil was a grade-A twat. And tbh I'm not a massive fan of Holly either. They're not fun or relatable, there are so many other people who can present this show far better. I always avoid watching because I find both Phil and Holly rude and dismissive to some of the guests

Are people forgetting Caitlyn Jenner came out as trans with numerous children and while married? Times used to be a lot different, being gay wasn't spoken about so much or widely accepted. I am not a fan of Phillip, in fact, don't watch UK tv but I just feel it's a bit unfair to question WHY and WHEN someone comes out. I am straight so no idea how that journey would be but I am going to guess not an easy one.

I am not trying to start anything. I like that on Tattle we can have discussions and different opinions. Maybe I am just trying to be optimistic in a world that has seemed so shit recently. Haha.

Homophobia isn’t “rife” these days. Sexuality has had protected status in law for over 15 years... even the church is permitting same sex marriages.

Cowell is definitely gay. Not a doubt in my mind. Why do you think his "exes" always get a house and a TV career? Watch the Louis Theroux documentary he did with Max Clifford (if you can - it used to always get removed as soon as it appeared) Very illuminating. The only bad thing about Clifford dying is all the secrets about Cowell he took with him.

I've long suspected Dec is gay too but his family are staunch Roman Catholics and he is practising. Nearly became a priest! But I swear I have more chemistry with my postman than he does with his wife. They look like mother and son.

I remember back in 2011 Schofield had just discovered Twitter because he never bloody stopped banging on about it, he really was asserting himself as some kind of expert on it and getting everyone in tv to join.

Then he started walking about everywhere with that sodding iPad tweeting non stop when he was meant to be reading the autocue.

Sounds funny but that’s the only reason I remember...because he was so over the top annoying about it!

One of the gossip websites at the time (I can't remember which one) outed him as massive cocaine addict. Not just a blind either - they actually named him.

He did say in the first interview he gave to
The Sun, before the drink driving crash, that he was talking "prescription and non prescription drugs" - but the non prescription bit seemed to get swept under the carpet.

I don’t know about others but that’s probably why he hired Matthew or had him hired by ITV. Keep him hidden in plain sight so to speak

Funny cos it’s supposed to be well known Rylan can’t stand Phil these days but i can understand him publicly being supportive of a fellow gay colleague regardless.

I can’t stand Phillip or any of the main presents on This Morning as they are so smug and full of it. Can’t bear to watch any of them. Definitely think there is a reason he is coming out now. Not suprised he’s gay at all. I hope his wife has known for a long time

I keep thinking about this post, whether it was made by someone putting the pinch on Pipsqueak. Timing seems coincidental.

I refuse to acknowledge that poster. It is one thing to speculate about a person's sexual orientation and entirely another to suggest they are interested in children (which was what was implied in their suggestive post and also their choice of username). Two completely different things: one is fine (being gay) and one is unthinkable (pursuing children). To link the two just for the sake of stirring the pot is morally wrong.

Then this poster followed up with something like "isn't it funny how quickly Phillip responded", as though Phillip has been browsing Tattle and found he was about to be outed on a gossip forum so figured he must break the news himself.

I think it's simply a coincidence that this poster came on here to say that Phillip is gay- and so many of us already knew that- and that Phillip came out a couple of weeks (?) after that post.
It's highly unlikely that someone 'in the know' decided to crumb on TL.

Many people on here seem to know someone who knows someone famous so does anyone know Ruth and why she has beef with Phil? I'm fairly sure it's been said on here that people know people who work on the set of This Morning? I genuinely saw Scofe try and be polite and professional last night to her offering her to speak which he didn't have to but you could tell the tension. I can't put my finger on it but Ruth really grinds on me and she seems like the type who when she can't get her own way throws a strop.

I get the feeling he did it to protect his image, rather than being genuine!!
