So I've been thinking about this... what I dont understand is his family/wife bit. I mean I dont actually understand amy of it but know theres something happening and we're on the brink of finding out something HUGE.

I mean sure Stephs stood by him. Do we even know if they live in the same house?! I keep thinking if my own dad came out... my mother would be understandably devastated and hurt that basically 36 years of marriage was a lie. She'd never speak to him again, one of them would move out straight away. I would be somewhat confused tbh and want questions. The way he described coming out to his family sounded like a fairly ordinary family domestic we have at Christmas.

And why leave his wedding ring on for this past week?! And Friday night is gay night?! Surely shes complicit and knows. Unless hes so manipulative and so much of a bastard that hes got her wrapped around his little finger and she's been so brainwashed that it would be for the greater good for him and their family that she doesn't say anything and they stay married for appearances because that's what he wants.

I feel like hes been forced to come out as gay but it just doesn't sit right. Maybe it was an open relationship in the end and they both had some free reign but the flat and MM? She must have known. Unless she didnt. And this all happened and he was forced to come clean to Steph/family and just came out as being gay as it was an easy explanation and that what's hes sticking with.

But then Saying they have no secrets etc and then saying their entire marriage is a lie in that interview. Utterly contradictory and basically NOTHING makes sense at all. Its hurting my head thinking about it all.

My opinion is that for at least the last x years, she has been complicit. No way did she find out last Friday, no way will she have been sleeping with him, no way will she not have known about it in the most recent years of their marriage.
I suspect they’ve probably had an open arrangement of some kind....not necessarily being out there 7/7 shagging other people but maybe a discreet once a week thing
At whatever point in the past she would have known the truth she would have perhaps voluntarily agreed to go along with it...maintain the public persona of Mr ITV PiP....he who was not so long ago sniffling around the royals hoping for a big gong of some kind.
i Imagine they are good friends if nothing else and i really don’t see her as being brainwashed...she used to work in tv herself didn’t she? She would know the game. So as not to rock the boat with the the whole of their lives ..let’s just keep doing as we are...as PS said himself in that MM showreel.....see if they can keep getting away with it
perhaps deep down she was biding her time...and 100% PS will want to make sure that regardless of how much she knew and when....her image and reputation is kept whiter than white - hence the slip up about no secrets

actually, I looked on google yesterday for MM and at the bottom of the page it says:

I’m beginning to think the story is that MM is mounting an unfair dismissal or bullying case against ITV/PS. PS has taken control in publicly coming out because his relationship with MM would be exposed, he wouldn’t be able to deny it as MM had evidence of it, and he would not be able to control the public reaction to him being gay. MM maybe went to the papers about the bullying in ITV, not his relationship with PS.

- MM said he was “fucked over”.
- Rumours of bullying culture in ITV and it going in “free fall”
- Ruth Langsford’s complaint
- Amanda Houlden’s comments
- Pip Squeak still being on TV

all indicate that PS pulls the strings with staffing in ITV and if he doesn’t like you or falls out with you, your opportunities are cut short.

The relationship with MM is gross in its manipulation and one-sided power but I don’t think there will be anything illegal found. Although grooming/prepping a teenager until point of being legal is a worry of mine, there’s no evidence SS is doing anything untoward and I feel awful that anyone who MM is associated with or related to is having their profiles pored over to find tidbits of evidence to fit a crime that might not even exist.

Show biz is definitely incestuous and seedy. There will almost certainly be some powerful players with sleaze on their copybook, but I do think a bit of reflection on what is actually known rather than what we think we know just realigns the focus a little.

What concerns me apart from the obvious power of money hushing the truth is just today there’s a new story regarding Prince Andrew and the shenanigans he got up to. In that story the Prince gave the interview, thought he did well, then the contradictions were seen but nothing has been done apart from him detaching from the Royal Family duties.

is money and great lawyers enough to hide the truth?

And yet ...despite having no actual formal evidence ....PS and HW were quite happy to dissect the case against Prince Andrew every day on their show.....including his admittedly car crash TV interview .....maybe PS used the same people to set up his own ....has had the same reaction

I got married at 16. Had 2 children and stayed in that relationship for over 25 years. I can’t explain to others exactly why I stayed so long ! I had a wonderful family network and my parents would have helped me in any/every way possible if I had chosen to leave my marriage at any time. But I didn’t, I was not only physically but mentally abused but without doubt I 100% loved my husband and lied, protected and sided with him. A lot of times, making myself look “the bad one”
He had numerous affairs, I had plenty of bruises, black eyes and have lost count of the times he strangled me as I thought this is the last time, I’m going to die, but I couldn’t stop loving or wanting him and our children to be together.
‘It’s been over 10 years since I left him and I am in a wonderful relationship with a man who truly loves me. But .... I can’t seem to put blame on my ex for what he put me through. Was it for money... not at all, was it for security , no, as looking back now, my family was my security. I could go into more detail but it would not make sense to anyone else. It doesn’t really make that much sense to me all these years later, and I lived it ! .To me, it was just love.
The man I loved was a narcissist in every way, shape or form and I fought for him, fought for us ! Until one day I realised, it wasn’t love, it was my children’s dad I wanted. Sadly it wasn’t until recently they told me they wished I had left before they grew up and moved away. They love their dad, why shouldn’t they, he never hurt them, he hurt me... I have a guilt all these years later that I did the wrong thing by protecting the wrong person. So if Steph is a so called beard.. then to me, so be it, because she has been and is aware of what her life is about {maybe not of EVERYTHING, actually, I pray not everything} but not because she is blind to love. I get most wont agree with me, but that’s fine.

I can’t imagine P being this aggressive and rude with other guests or is it because Kim was detested by his friend Colleen. I must admit I was open mouthed when P suggested Colleen was a nice person. If you’ve seen anything that Colleen is on she’s so 2 faced and self serving, maybe that’s why she’s a friend of P’s. Most of us knew there was a big story waiting to come out by how he's been acting since coming out and staying quiet. Dodgy as duck!

He's got alot to answer for.

Did Fearne cotton support him publicly? Hope that's the end of her and Holly's career. They must have known and did nothing.

Felt as if there was a distance between FC and HW from about 2 years ago .... not as much socialising/photos on IG? I did ask this question but it was moved to HW thread. Did FC know? Did she distance herself from more scandal. HW knew and will struggle to continue to pretend it was new news.

On reflection, MM is very obviously fame/TV obsessed so I don't think he would have threatened to blow the whistle as, let's face it, no one will now touch him with a barge pole. Others knew and journalists were sniffing.
