Re SC he has contacted girls too. I’m not being apologist but SC Users are mostly quite young and he may want to been seen as ‘connecting’ with his younger fans. I think most of his replies that I’ve seen were one word answers or an emoji. I’m not excusing his behaviour which may look seedy I agree just looking at facts

You literally just tried to paint someone barely into adulthood, who may have been subject to - at best - some very irresponsible treatment from a hugely powerful man two and a half times his age, who he had known since he was 10 years old, as 'clingy' and perhaps not all that 'innocent'. At least try to be original in your smear jobs, cos that is cliché as hell.

And for the record, that's not being objective, that's just standard apologia for what sounds to most people here as a pattern of toxic behaviour and the sad thing is you're not even being paid to say these things. If the story circulating is true, PS / ITV paid £30,000 a week to a damage limitation firm and you're doing the same work for free.
I'm not trying to smear anyone and with the greatest respect I haven't actually seen anyone try and smear Matthew on here so I'm not sure how I could be a cliché. I think we've had the discussion about damage limitation firms (other people call them PR firms but who am I to question a bit of mellow drama?), everyone has them, some people need extra help at times - it doesn't make someone a paedophile. That *is* being objective.

This is absolutely true. A couple of years ago I had a chat with a 14 year old and she was telling me how cool he was 🤢

Phew 🙂

The surname Schofield is more common than you think In the U.K. and abroad 😱

Schofield Name Meaning. English (mainly northern): habitational namefrom any of various minor places, in Lancashire and elsewhere, named from Middle English sc(h)ole 'hut' (see Scales) + feld 'pasture', 'open country'.

There ends today’s history lesson🤣
Pretty common in Lancs.

If no injunction was ever in place why did any negative or questioning comments on social media disappear as quickly as it appeared? I remember reading a story about the runner being mentored by PS and how this was a common thing with PS and young lads, I wanted to send it to a friend but by the time I finished reading it had been removed! The first comment online I think was from Dan Wooton around the end of 2019 who answered a young star struck lads comment about being shown round the studio by PS as “why doesn’t this surprise me “ or words to that affect. If this really was a case of ‘nothing to see here’ there would be no need for the forced coming out statement nor the complete whitewash on Twitter etc

The deleting of comments and stories could just as easily be that his management have people in their back pocket. Don't get me wrong, something very obviously happened in the latter half of 2019 because things really started to unravel for PS and This Morning (to an extent). Clearly there was a breakdown of sorts with MM but we don't know what. The screenshot of Dan Wootten saying what he did was in response to a lad saying PS mentored him or something, I can't remember properly, but that doesn't necessarily mean anything else.

There must have been an injunction, so many comments deleted within hours of posting

I’m certain there was an injunction, so many of us posed questions to Piers Morgan and other journalists on twitter and they didn’t answer, unheard of for Piers! Mumsnet had an entire thread removed. They were definitely gagged and although most of us just knew ‘something’ was behind PS and his very sudden decision to come out live on air, it is the very obvious manipulation of the public with posts being deleted constantly that really irks. He played the public like fools. He really has had his day on TV - in my opinion a man pushing 60 who likes to contact teenage boys online shouldn’t be acceptable to anyone, least of all ITV.

If an injunction hasn't been reported on then it will be a superinjunction. I can't imagine why one would have been granted, although let's face it, stranger things have happened.

The “why doesn’t that surprise me” comment says it all, PS has form 😡😡😡

Exactly! A so-called family channel ITV is too, ie BGT, X Factor etc etc, BBC #2

He wouldn’t say anything on SC that he shouldn’t because then there is proof hence his emoji or one word answers

I think the point is, that while no-one on here approves of his behaviour, calling someone a paedophile without actual hard evidence is inappropriate and undermines the legitimacy of the thread.

I’ve noticed that Dan Wootton hasn’t been on Lorraine for months now. He was on quite abit for celeb gossip segments etc.
Wondering if he’s been told to steer clear of the television centre.
