Yes there was a very throwaway comment I recall about Why Ruth was not there, when shes been off they usually say more,I think we have all the bits of the puzzle, its just they are all jumbled up...I dont believe for a second Ruths complaint was about being cut off by PS on Loose Women...maybe she is behind PS being investigated somehow...thought PS and his birthday wishes for Ruth were very false......
The recent National Television Awards show speaks volumes.
All the clues were there to see when This Morning won its category.
In previous years Phillip (and Holly) took charge of the acceptance speech. Many of us noticed that Ruth and Eamonn seemed to be somewhat overlooked.
Then..... In 2019 we start to hear about colleagues claiming Phillip made the atmosphere at work "toxic."
We also heard Ruth had lodged an official complaint against him and although we were told it was because he cut her speech short on Loose Women, we knew it was for something else.
So - fast forward to this year's NTAs...
This Morning wins.
Up they all troop onto the stage (well, except Matthew McGreevy this time) and
Phill gives his usual speech but this time "warmly" encourages Ruth to speak. He also tries to hug her and draw her in closer to him.
All designed to show what a happy family they are and what great mates they all are.
There was just one thing and it was glaringly obvious - Ruth refused to cuddle in close when he put his arm around her. She didnt flinch, but she may as well have done because her fixed, gritted teeth smile, expression in her eyes and staunch removal to move closer to him when he tugged at her made it abundantly clear there was a problem between her and Phillip.
There must be a very good reason for it and we knew it then, we know it now and even more people know it now as well.
Ruth strikes me as honourable.
If what we all suspect has been going on, the injustice of it will be eating away at her conscience.
