Sorry slightly off topic but is anyone else disgusted at how Fern was treated over her gastric band? Honestly who cares? Even if she lied it’s her body and not really anyone’s business unless I’ve missed something. I just don’t get why she was made to apologise and lose her job for a personal choice regarding her body.
Oh yes.
This has been discussed in previous posts and threads - mainly to compare the levels of support ITV give their employees.
The fact that Fern felt she needed a band in the first place suggests she was struggling with self image, and the fact that she hid it and was "found out" and then left to cope with the criticism showed a very different level of support form that which Phillip was given when he told everyone who didnt already know that he was gay.
He was praised for bravery etc
Fern - left to it.
And I dont think for one minute he didnt seize that very moment to shove himself to the front of the pay rise queue.
She was main presenter when he came in to replace John Leslie.
He was second banana.
I think he wasted no time in elbowing her out so he could usurp main position.
That's when I went off him.
Fern needed some support, not castigating.
Yes she had a band, yes she hid it - but maybe she just needed some confidence boosting and a bit of counselling. We KNOW she suffers depression - but all that ignored.
Poor woman thrown to the wolves.

Bet she felt so miserable at work she couldnt stand any more.

TM are really scraping the bottom of the barrel right now. Fashion segment featuring ' Lounge wear to isolate at home in' . The 'models' ( behind the scenes staff ) are wearing the most basic pyjamas and track suits, nothing special at all. One of the most inane segments I've ever watched

Well yes, that could be correct.
Also, if he gave up his job too they would have no money coming in - and they have a family and bills to pay just like everyone else.
I know they are hardly on the breadline but they still need an income.
