Sadly I agree too. He had a hat on again, and just sounded tired. I do hope he will be okay.
After watching last night I said his appearance had done nothing to quash the rumours about him having been ill. Hat pulled right down, sunglasses on, so we couldnt see his head or his eye brows. And sitting down, that is just not the Peter Kay we know. Also the clips they showed right at the start of the video were, I am pretty sure, not him either. I thought they were going to recreate the video with him in, not show the old one. If he was well and wanted to support the cause he would have redone it with the public in the background.
Sadly I do think all the rumours are true and he has been very poorly. I do wish him well and hope he has now turned a corner.

He looked and sounded really unwell didn’t he? Very pale and bloated. Looks like he’s on steroids as he has that puffy look that I’ve seen in people I know who’ve taken them.
There was no new footage of him in the video either, presumably because he’s too unwell or shielded and not allowed to go out at the moment.

I thought this exact same thing. He's just recorded that little piece-to-camera in his back garden. He seemed very downbeat too, slightly slurred speech. There was no smile in his voice. Poor Peter, I hope he can turn the corner and get through it. It must be no fun going through something like that and feel you have to hide it.
His right arm didn’t move as it was probably holding a selfie stick as he was filming himself?

Maybe I shouldn't say it but I wonder if it's mitochondrial disease. He breached his 'time out' to be involved in a fundraiser for a related charity and said something about having a personal connection with it. The way he appeared last night could 'fit' with some of the symptoms in adults (it can start presenting in adulthood). I know he wants to keep whatever's going on as private as possible but when he does make the odd appearance, people will speculate, especially when he looks as poorly as he did last night. The vast majority would just want to wish him well and respect any requests not to interfere or pester him. It's possibly because of the few that won't that he's not declared having any specific illness. He'd get bothered by charities and PR people to become some kind of poster boy for whatever it is and he most likely doesn't need that. Some people would also be expecting him to show up at events in his stage 'persona' and then gossip speculatively if he didn't 'come up to scratch'. I just want to support him and wish him well from a distance (which, let's face it, is the general rule of thumb anyway, at the moment). If he is very ill and unlikely to get back to full health, perhaps he would like the lasting memories of the public of him to be of how he is in full flow and not wanting sympathy as in, 'Oh, poor man, look at what's happened', sort of thing. Who knows, really?

I remember him supporting a mitochondrial disease charity and, because it was a childrens charity (I think!), people speculated that it was his son that had it. I think it's clear that it's Peter who is unwell. (Chris Evan's also let it slip a whlle ago that he was "getting better") I know some speculated cancer but, I think its possible @dorydaryl could be right. There are so many ways it affects people and some could explain his appearance last night. The hat, glasses, his speech, the tone of his voice and even the lolly could have been more a necessity than a "prop", when you look at some of the symptoms.
I think its wonderful he was able to do that little bit last night, he certainly didnt have to. I truely wish him well, was always a big fan.

You could see he had sideburns. I immediately thought the same so looked when he turned to the side.
He sounded hoarse to me. Maybe the ice lolly was more than a prop, something to keep his voice sounding better.

He's obviously gained even more weight and he was overweight to begin with. He just released a new audio episode of Car Share and his voice sounds fine in that.
I think he didn't want to joke in his little speech as maybe he felt it was inappropriate in the current climate and with a lot of people having lost their lives?
I still don't believe he's been ill. I will stick with my original assumption that it's a family member and if as they say, it's his wife whose cancer returned he's probably shielding alongside her hence why he's sat in his garden.

Yep I too think it’s a family member and I think he is aware of the rumours that it’s him and so is wearing a hat and glasses etc to make people still think it’s him, taking the attention away from whoever it really is, if that makes any sense 
TBH my fav bit of big night out was Little Britian.
Can mitochondrial disease really lie dormant until your 40s though? I don’t know much about it, only the cases that present virtually from birth and are lethal.

Adult onset mitochondrial disease can happen. Mito is a term for a wide range of diseases of varying severity, and as research discovers more, a mitochondrial element has been identified in existing illnesses, or is being explored eg with ME.
It’s a b disease because it can strike ‘any system any time’ as our consultant used to say. Many adults have mild mito or metabolic disease and never know it. Others develop symptoms in adulthood and die but that’s far rarer. Even if you know you have mitochondrial dysfunction you may be totally unable to predict how it will progress.
It can present as regressing/remitting like MS, but a person generally doesn’t regain all lost ground. You could possible describe someone as ‘getting better’ in those circumstances.

We had tickets too,Ive seen him 3 times live, he's brilliant.......We were gutted when the show was cancelled ,but back him 100% for doing so ... Family comes first
