As pain is being discussed, does anyone have a thought about what I'm getting?
So, in June, I suddenly got a little stabbing spasm in my lower left quadrant - the iliac fossa region - nothing severe, but did make me wince a little and left me with this ongoing niggling, stitch like pain in that area for over a week.
I have chronic constipation and thought it might be related. Then one night in bed I pressed on that area and it was very tender and I felt sudden pain that radiated around my hip. Next day it had gone.
Now, I have the Balance app with the period tracker and also a poop tracker (yes, really) and fast forward three months later and I'm still get these twinges on the left, but I've noticed from what I've been logging on my apps, that it seems it flares up around day 13/14 of my cycle - ripe ovulation time - and will then last a couple of days into my period, then go.
I've not suffered obvious ovulation pain before, and from my understanding, this shouldn't last longer than a couple of days at the most anyway. My periods are normal at the moment (I'm 46 next month), bleeding and cycle length is as usual.
Has anyone experienced or heard of anything similar?
