It’s disgusting really. Mother Nature turns you into a sweaty, hairy, confused mess to stop you having kids.
Nothing much seems to happen to men.

Yes!!! I pluck every couple of days I swearHas anyone experienced more hair on the face? I’m getting thick black hairs near the chin and they grow really fast. Also above lip line seems to need sorting a lot more too.
Sadly mine are really white so I can't use the electro thingy to blast them off and have to pluckHas anyone experienced more hair on the face? I’m getting thick black hairs near the chin and they grow really fast. Also above lip line seems to need sorting a lot more too.
Same here. My cheeks and neck are covered with white long hairs, I was gonna get one but then read it won't work on them. I've been using facial oil and a separate razor to take them off every so often.Sadly mine are really white so I can't use the electro thingy to blast them off and have to pluck
Electrolysis works on white/fair hair. Laser needs pigment.Same here. My cheeks and neck are covered with white long hairs, I was gonna get one but then read it won't work on them. I've been using facial oil and a separate razor to take them off every so often.
Different things work for different people - for me it's weight-related, which I'm having real trouble shifting now I'm in peri, and I need to lose at least a stone to get back in the no-snore zone. I've been sleeping in the spare room on and off for a few years now and Mr F takes ear plugs if we need to share a room when we're away.Anyone recommend anything for snoring? I snore like a train at certain times of the night the last year or so and I have to share a room on holiday. I don't want to be smothered by a pillow - any solutions?
Always wondered about trying those pen hair remover things. Worry they’ll make the hair grow back stronger and thicker! At the moment I’m plucking my chin every day (43, deffo perimenopausal, hormones all over the shop) - Are they ok in terms of re growth? For facial hair those little pen shaped battery trimmers are good. Also the thick green wax you melt on the stove which comes in a little pot- not the stupid little fabric things with the equivalent of Pritt-stick on . (I have PCOS so am basically a gorilla with a dress on and have tried everything)
I bought one (JML job) and tried it on the fluff on my hand and am v glad I did. I had spikey stubble afterwards. I know that’s not the device’s fault but it made me realise a different removal method was best for me.Always wondered about trying those pen hair remover things. They won’t change the actual hairs- what happens is they cut off the very end (which tapers) so it appears thicker when it regrows). It’s a sort of optical illusion.Always wondered about trying those pen hair remover things. Worry they’ll make the hair grow back stronger and thicker! I’ve got one of those. But the delightful thicker hairs have to be plucked. I’ve always had a few, even as a teen, but they’re now multiplyingFor facial hair those little pen shaped battery trimmers are good. I get bad pains when I'm washing up or cooking now.Has anyone noticed a change/issue with their muscles? My leg and arm muscles seem so much weaker. Pegging the washing out causes them to ache so quickly I have to keep stopping. Same with my legs - a walk round the block has them feeling really achy and weak.
I find this one of the hardest things. I’ve been known to sob from the frustration of feeling “ weak”Has anyone noticed a change/issue with their muscles? My leg and arm muscles seem so much weaker. I'm a lurker here, I too have PCOS and have to shave my chin every day and get quite quick regrowthFor facial hair those little pen shaped battery trimmers are good. Brill thanks you that’s great to know! I find that spironolactone helps a bit with the hairiness too, as does avoiding sugar. Apparently spearmint and pumpkinseed are anti androgen so I scoff lots! But I’ll try it topically now too xI'm a lurker here, I too have PCOS and have to shave my chin every day and get quite quick regrowthI recently saw a Tic Tok with someone recommending adding a couple of drops of Spearmint (NOT peppermint) essential oil to your daily moisturizer. Don't put it on neat as it will burn. It cost me £10 for a large bottle so even though I was skeptical it wasn't a lot of money, well, honestly I can say it's really helped me and slowed down the regrowth to the point where I can miss a day off shaving some days. Just thought I'd mention it, PCOS is rubbish isn't it?
I do low sugar too, but never heard of spironolactone, so thank you, off to investigateBrill thanks you that’s great to know!
