Morning everyone. I have really enjoyed reading this thread and picked up some apps/books to check out. I am 39 and at the start of this year had a period of feeling so so low, came out of nowhere, no reason for it. Got prescribed antidepressants that I didn't get on with so decided not to take them and then after a couple of months it passed. Then I got diagnosed with low vit B12 so I have to have an injection every 3 months which has really helped with how tired I was feeling. Then I started with night sweats and BO during the day and terrible bacne and went to doctor saying I feel like I might be in early menopause. The doctor said no way, you are way too young, but it could be your thyroid, so we need to check bloods. Blood tests came back showing thyroid absolutely fine but my estrogen and progesterone both low at which point the doctor did a complete turnaround and said it's definitely early menopause! She said I need a referral to gynae to discuss options, but because I take the pill without a one week break, I've not had a period for a long time so no idea if my periods are affected. She wants me to come off the pill and have a blood test on day 2-5 after my period starts, or let her know if I don't get a period at all.
This has prompted me to really pay attention to my symptoms and start tracking them and they definitely seem cyclical, like my back clears up but then a few days ago got spotty again, then the night sweats started after a few weeks without them.
I am seeing this an opportunity to finally try and understand my body and work with it after years of fighting against my body, yo yo dieting etc!
