Think the name is lovely, hate the headbands on newborns. Get her in a sleep suit & little hat like normal people
All she’s doing is spreading her negativity because she’s trying to back up “I’m right, I’m right” initial large shaming argument that she feels sorry for the baby because it’ll be born small because Mum is large and it’ll be unhealthy. bleeping hell imagine if she was in your life day to day, you wouldn’t want her anywhere near your baby with that attitude - hard to be like most normal people and simply be happy for someone that has had a safe arrival and healthy baby. Literally all her posts are “pick me, the NHS doesn’t need an overhaul I’m right”.Does it matter that she’s in the 2nd centile? As long as baby follows that centile anyway it’s perfectly healthy, it’s whether baby drops off the centile it becomes a worry.
Stop being such a misery.
If it isn’t then why was I weighed a centimetre chart made and then weighed again and the chart changed?!?! Are you a midwife or obstetrician. If not duck OFF GILLTell the NHS that - it’s second centile. That’s small. 98% of babies are born bigger and she was overdue which should mean she was further up the centiles. Hate being right
Nope- doesn’t take account of parent’s height. It’s based on full term gestation. Prem babies aren’t measured the same way but her baby wasn’t prem- she was overdue.
anyway, glad I was right and the NHS doesn’t need an overhaul![]()
Never agreed with large shaming anyway and yes there has been in the thread before now but think there’s a difference between large shaming and large shaming a pregnant woman with comments about her not doing enough for her baby before it’s even born and making assumptions the baby is unhealthy because of her weightI think that’s quite a small weight. And I’ve also seen plenty of large shaming before Gill started so I don’t understand the pile on her over anyone else. But I may have missed a tattle rule change. I’ve not been about as much.
That said, please crack on, the bickering is more entertaining than Lori’s usual content
The baby is gorgeous though![]()
I thought the same but actually... Being overweight/obese can result in a smaller baby (I'm in this category). Either way baby is beaut and I'm glad they're both okShe definitely put her weight to try prove a point![]()
Totally agree with with you, what happened to just ignoring comments you don't like, which is what most people on these threads advise to doI think that’s quite a small weight. And I’ve also seen plenty of large shaming before Gill started so I don’t understand the pile on her over anyone else. But I may have missed a tattle rule change. I’ve not been about as much.

Someone else mentioned that it was likely Lori was 6 stone away from a healthy BMI when she told Insta she’d only gained 1lb so far in her pregnancy. Or there was one saying that she (and others) see babies as a meal ticket.Never agreed with large shaming anyway and yes there has been in the thread before now but think there’s a difference between large shaming and large shaming a pregnant woman with comments about her not doing enough for her baby before it’s even born and making assumptions the baby is unhealthy because of her weight
Yes! Being slim and being healthy aren’t mutually exclusive. Yes being obese increases you chances of developing other illnesses but so does smoking, eating ultra processed foods and lack of exercise. So if someone is claiming being large is the worst thing a Mum can be they’ve never spent a minute with a clucking newborn who’s slim Mum took smack during pregnancy! (My SIL is a foster parent has had many babies in her care who were born addicted to drugs)Weight and health are not mutually exclusivefor example, my sister in law is 9 and a half stone, doesn’t exercise smoke or drink but her diet is horrendous. On the outside, she’s a slim size 10 and what society would deem as ‘healthy’. She’s just been told by the Dr that she’s pre diabetic, and if she doesn’t change her eating habits it’s likely she’ll develop type 2. Safe to say she’s devastated and making changes. Assuming Lori is unhealthy due to her size and therefore the baby is at a disadvantage is ignorant.
I encourage anyone to check out Dr Joshua Woolrich on Instagram an NHS doctor (shock) who states BMI is bull and is a firm believer of health of every size. He regularly comments on how awful weight stigma is within the NHS. He also busts vaccine myths for those in tin foil hats.
Anyway, love the namebaby is gorgeous.
Absolutely no idea what this is meant to sayIf it isn’t then why was I weighed a centimetre chart made and then weighed again and the chart changed?!?! Are you a midwife or obstetrician. If not duck OFF GILL
I like the name but she was born in summer. It’s like a baby called April that was born in AugustShe’s gorgeous, I love her name![]()
