I've just finished reading both threads. Bob, Michael, and Paula repeating their parents' mistakes and this is where it ends up.

One thing I don't think has been mentioned in either thread (and I thought of it when someone said that Paula seemed to be acting out some kind of childhood trauma) is that I'm sure I once read an interview with Paula where she said she lost her virginity aged 12 to a man in his 30s or 40s. Obviously a 12 year old child cannot consent to sex so I did wonder whether rape having been her first experience was the trigger that hurtled her down this hyper-sexual path that unbalanced her life, where her obsession with whatever man it was at the time overshadowed every other thing.
I think Peaches wasn’t hyper sexual as she was insecure :( is such a shame, she was pretty, emotionally intelligent and smart although she had her faults.
I’m aware there were orgy rumours etc but think that was just attention seeking

So freaky, I've just come across this thread and gave it a read cos I was curious and didn't know that much about Peaches tbh only the pushchair incident. Reading thread 1 and someone mentions her husband's new gf - thought the name sounded familiar....one of my friends is hanging out with her tonight according to Insta stories. They may of broken up now as that comment was from Feb 21 but very strange.

I heard from a friend of a friend who knows him that Peaches was having an affair with Cav from Swim Deep just before she died. Has this been mentioned? I haven't read both threads.

I agree @MissHavisham . I had a similar experience as a mid-teen and it fucked me up for the next 15 years until I sought help, has taken a few more years to see how self destructive I was. Back in Paula’s day I don’t think these issues or mental health were so ok to talk about or solve, and so she never did really. Very sad to see how this echoed down to her daughter in terms of trauma.

I'm so sorry that happened to you, @blueberriesarenice. Great though that you recognised you needed help and sought it.

p.s as for the person who did what they did to you, may karma boot them repeatedly up the hole.

Back in Paula's day sexual assault of a child was also often not recognised for what it is in the way it is now. Paula didn't have sex with a man in his 30s/40s when she was 12: she was a child who could not consent legally, she was r*ped and it undoubtedly impacted her as an adult. I agree so much of her hypersexual behaviour and obsession with male validation has its roots in that: she learned from such a young age that was her 'value' and she didn't have a stable enough childhood elsewhere to show her otherwise. It's really sad.

Omg, followed Peaches‘ Insta religiously, was VERY shocked when I heard about her death and ABSOLUTELY convinced it couldn’t have been drugs, because there were no signs whatsoever on her insta (naive, obviously). I was looking the whole time for a tattle thread and found it now. Spend the last days catching up with all two threads. 🥵 Now enough from me (my rimming-preferences maybe after we got to know each other slightly better). After Peaches‘ death I started following Fifi as a substitute. She very often shared pictures of Paula and commented. One very funny one was „My mom. Was she ever not pregnant?“ Also it was mentioned, that none of the girls ever got any of Paula‘s wardrobe, but either she didn’t tell why, or I can’t remember. What else do I have to contribute… you get the feeling, that Fifi is close to Bob now. Also, I find it interesting that Peaches and Fifi searched for ways to imitate Paula. Peaches the career as TV presenter, Fifi the bleach blond short hairstyle, which she was very flattered about, when her followers pointed out how much she reminds them of Paula. Also, there is a clip online of a young Pixie, a little portrait about her, in which she dances a bit, turns around and such, and her movements remind very much of Michaels stage presence. Finally a quote from Paula‘s book, in which she said, Peaches, out of her daughters, looks the most like her, Pixie‘s character is the most like her‘s (Paula’s. Not so sure about that one though.) And: I remember a post from Anita, the nanny, a few years ago, for Pixie‘s birthday, in which she very warmly expressed her love and said, no matter who meets Pixie, everyone loves her immediately. I found that very cute.

One more: In the interview with Paula after Michael had died, she says something like „He was a miracle.“ which I found very telling. I mean, calm down woman. 😅

Also, I really wonder, why everyone says, Paula wasn’t attractive. I found her very attractive. That delicate face and petite frame, the unique style?

I remember reading in a girls magazine 15 years ago at least, that Peaches and Pixie used to hang out in the same circles, but Pixie was much more popular, which made Peaches jealous.

I adored Peaches‘ style and would be so curious, how she‘d dress these days.

I remember reading in an interview with Eli Roth, when Peaches was still alive, that he found her quite mature, well read and intelligent. (Might as well just be the excuse for an older guy to f*ck a teenager, but just repeating what he said.)

Sorry for my essay length, but reading through the whole threads animated my brain to recreate all those forgotten thought snippets.

I think Fifi went low or no-contact with Paula after Michael died.

IMVHO, she wasn't a stunning beauty, her face was too sharp and angular, but, she had a fantastic body, absolutely tiny and a very unique style. That. combined with sex appeal, wit and intelligence, I can certainly see why she was a man magnet.

Weird moment, somehow, for losing contact. After her partner’s death? I‘d understand losing the contact beforehand and typically having contact again after he died. Would be more logical from an outsider‘s perspective. But of course we don’t know the backstage stories.

It's tragic that Peaches died of a heroin overdose, but I wanna know why celebs are treated differently over 'normal' people with addiction problems?

The posters in this thread mention she was getting help with managing her addiction to heroin, why were her babies in her care then, much worse, cared for by her alone?

I was a heroin addict in recovery prescribed Suboxone instead of methadone, my choice of medication as it contains naloxone which stops you getting high if you use heroin on top of your medicine, I was really committed to getting clean.

Then during this time got pregnant with my first child and was switched to another prescribed opiate, subutex as it was deemed safer for pregnancy.

Now, I had a 1-2-1 midwife the whole time, who drug tested me throughout my pregnancy, then after my baby was born I was under the care of specialised health visitors who also monitored me and my baby closely. This is even though I had never relapsed/given a positive drug test to my key worker from the drug and alcohol services I attended to get clean, who also prescribed my medical grade opiates, before I even got pregnant.

If I HAD given a positive urine sample, I would have had my baby removed from my care, and quite rightly so. Stating the obvious, I can tell you it's unsafe to be using heroin and caring for a baby!

Why do stars get away (for want of a better word) with this when us normal folks would be deemed unfit parents, it really boils my piss?!

I can totally understand it. Fifi would have been 13-14 and Paula was a mess. Mired in deep grief, with a young baby and self-medicating with god knows what. There’s no way that Paula could have been anything like the type of mother Fifi would have needed at that age. It would have been different for Peaches and Pixie because they were younger and less aware.

Congratulations for your recovery( if that's the right word). I think the difference is that if the child has a nanny, they are deemed to have a responsible adult caring for them, so if the parents are paying someone else to look after their child, it is cheaper and better than having to have social services do it at huge taxpayers expense. Loads of the Primrose Hill set in the 90's were coked up to the eyeballs and kept their children for probably this reason.

First of all congrats on getting clean, I cannot imagine how hard this must have been! Obviously I don't know your financial situation, but I don't think this is just a celebrity issue, I think it is more a money issue. For example, I can imagine in any situation someone who had a history of drug/substance abuse who lived in a council estate as a single mum vs a rich couple with the same history would not be treated the same at all

It was because Paula's drug abuse and erratic behaviour escalated after Michaels death

Thanks, I've been clean for nearly a decade now. I don't think it's to do with money, I am wealthy, never shoplifted or the like to fund my habit. In that same vein, having a nanny to look after your child wouldn't wash either with my local authority. There is a significant risk to your baby if anyone in the household is using drugs. Like the primrose hill set, Peaches, and people in the public eye, they are all given special dispensation it seems and it's not right.

Not to mention Fifi probably saw the WORST of it being the oldest child and would have known full well what was going on. Paula used to drag her to INXS gigs to set her sights on Michael while Fifi was a little girl who should have been in bed.
