It was a great night - really enjoyed it!

I was sat right by where John was standing in the crowd for Betabet, which was very exciting. It was a really good night overall. Minor annoyance was how cramed the seating was.

Ah yeah, I literally can't work her out at all! She's kind of awkward... kind of dim... but just not in a funny way. It's all an act right?

I've recently become a big fan of Ivo/Evo Graham, so will also seek out anything he has done now too

Yeah listening to podcasts you do get the impression the whole London comedy scene is very small! Especially with that 'generation' of comedians who came up together.

Oh remembered another in the same 'circle' of podcasts - Ivo hosts a podcast about music gigs called Gig Pigs with his friend Alex Kealy.

On the house topic.. John saying he can't buy a house in London in the latest HDYC is, frankly, Bravo Sierra. He could sell his house and buy a lovely one bed with roughly the same sq ft in West London easily. Not that I'm a stickler for detail or anything!

They literally had a female Dave on the Dave feature this week. They’ve had female callers. What are you wanting? More Lou (not sure anyone wants that)

Nah, it was only a broadcast group so one way traffic - they couldn’t have got listener contributions through it

It's on Amazon Prime, it's called "The Story of Xfm". I found it really interesting as I didn't realise the origin. Sadly none of the xfm characters we know and love from today or recent era are featured. It's centred around the 90s.

I was a listener to the station from when I was about 13 I think when I was trying to impress the brother of a school mate. Accidentally got into music that way and then eventually Elis and John! All because I fancied someone

What a weird and rude thing to say when there are still tickets available for Dublin.

Mans got 150 good-seat tickets to sell for Salford by Sunday, which being near the BBC is probably a bigger deal to fill than Whelans, in case of any big wigs turning up. A few other UK venues haven't sold out yet either. I don't think it's that deep.

In the interest of billy balance, I have listened to it this morning, and I think LS is a lot more bearable when she has Elis as a foil. He's definitely the calming influence, which obvs works really well with John, and also Ivo/Evo, and now I'd say Lou too. I might be a bit of a convert! Well, probably not, but just thought I should say something a bit more positive

It was like that before the bbc days. I really dislike how it is used as content for the show and news is broken in the group first. It inflates the members’ importance and the group is not well moderated. Dave should take more responsibility, the group is intrinsically linked to the show.

I was meaning waaaaay back when. Early days of it. It’s just become something unpleasant. Mining it for content is actually pretty lazy and given the shows are going to pre-record, I imagine ALL the content will now come from the group which is an error

Legends! I cannot comment any further on the Lou replacing Elis speculation because it will simply make me too sad.

as promised, I was at TMUW live tonight and it was excellent. No tea to report except a small snippet that won’t make the pod - there was some chat about Rose (my guess is Mattafaeo)’s birthday last weekend that E&J were both at and “everyone” was taking mushroom oil.

im not young/cool/relevant so didn’t even know mushroom oil was a *thing*
