What police earn isn’t a secret , it’s available online. He joined over 10 years ago so would be at top scale. I don’t live down south BUT I can’t imagine they earn less than us northerners

Still a warranted officer. Frustratingly , all warranted officers ( subject to scale point ) earn the same regardless of role.
Except shift workers ( unsociable hours is an additional payment )
