Yes she looked so different!

Have seen both Rob and Josh on their tours recently. Wasn’t sure what to expect from Rob as a stand up tbh but he was brilliant. Both of them very good shows but Rob definitely edged it for me!
I’m the opposite - I really thought Josh was much better!

I'm wondering if a clique will form with all the comedians as they already know each other really well.

They were both very quiet today when Amol Rajan was talking about the benefits to kids growing up in London…
I got the distinct impression that Rob and Amol weren't exactly besties. They weren't hostile as such but there did seem a bit of an edge. That could be because Amol is quite arrogant (in my opinion) and therefore the back and forth didn't always flow easily.

Is it just me that thinks him and Lou are taking their daughters to see things that they are too young to get or appreciate? Japan, Australia, The mamma Mia experience and other stuff in the past. It just seems a lot for such a young age. Like they are wishing them to be older. Saying how it was ok for them to get drunk at the mamma Mia thing because the kids were enjoying was a bit odd too. My son is in his 20’s and he struggles to remember any holidays we went on when he was that age but then we never did anything as extravagant as Australia/Japan so that’s probably why 😅
Yes! I went to the Mamma Mia party a few months ago (matinee too) and there weren't any children there. It's definitely not encouraged /aimed at children

I really like Rob on Rob and Romesh but that's because he knows his place in the pecking order with Rom (not that Rom is the one putting himself in the Top Dog position - Rob seems to hold him in high esteem) whereas he clearly sees himself and Josh on a more equal footing.

I really enjoyed the Matt Morsia episode, considering I don’t follow his YouTube and I don’t watch Gladiators. Seemed like a nice guy.

I’m so looking forward to this Playground Shaggers ep they keep promising though.

Same. I also found the “explain to the mums” bit awkward. It all felt pretty uncomfortable during the questions at the end, they’d made a big point about rob idolising this guy and then he didn’t really know how to react to the answer about bin bags!

I don’t know if many here listen to Oh What a Time but Josh has been a guest on two recent episodes on Devon. It’s with Elis James, Tom Crane and Chris Skull (who was on Quickly Kevin with Josh). Anyway, it was a nice listen. While listening you can tell there’s longstanding friendships there and they made fun of each other but in a not mean way.

I was on live tv once for a really short piece about work, and I thought I was going to vomit the entire time. If I'd had to eat and perch on a bar stool, I'd have been totally useless. She's doing really well, she's settling into it.

On the last podcast, Josh was talking about having skiing lessons with his children, and Rob kept going on at him that the kids should have their lessons separate, and I just kept thinking that it’s actually a really nice activity to all do together, plus they’ll be on holiday and Josh might quite enjoy being with his children!!!

Rob needs to realise that people parent differently and his way isn’t always the ‘right’ way.
Why wouldn’t you do activities together, if what you’re learning is the same thing, at the same time!?😆

Nah I'm with Rob on that one, I've never been skiing myself but if I was learning I'd not want to also be watching my kids at the same time. My friends who go usually send their kids to ski school in the morning then family time in the afternoon.

He was recounting his tale of a cloned plate, and someone shouted ‘heard it on the podcast’ and so he goes something like, ‘well I’ll tell it again, without Rob Beckett interrupting me’…. And I must say, I think the reaction was much louder than he expected 😂😂😂
Excellent!!

I love the OWAT gang. You learn a bit of history with them, they’re often amazed by the info the researches have come up with, overall they’re just such gentle but funny people. Much more Josh’s wavelength in terms of banter, it’s never mean - its silly and fair.
