"I just don't think it's OK to fuck your brother. I've been dropped by Sky."

Ended myself. In actual tears.

I really dislike it when they have people on who have monetised their kids to the nth degree, like the Faiers. Rob in particular clearly protects his kids so much that it just doesn’t feel like an authentic conversation when that happens.

agreed, plus the criticism seems so unnecessary, she's not a celebrity or public figure
The comments have all been positive. That she looked great but her outfit didn't exactly scream red carpet. I'm glad she felt comfortable to wear what she did, but I'd it had been me, I'd have gone for something a bit dressier. I've not liked a few things my friends have worn to certain events and told them so. It doesn't mean they looked bad. It just means I'd have personally picked something else. Same the other way around. I sent a picture of a dress to my friend for her opinion and her response was "its nice but not for what you need it for"...

With regards being a public figure, she IS putting herself out there publicly. Up until a year or so ago she had a private Instagram page but then opened it up, and Rob even invited people to follow her... She now has over 100k followers.

It's one thing going and finding her private page and making a comment about her. But she posted on her public Instagram page, about attending a very public event.

If she didn't want any attention whatsoever she could have kept her page private and shared going to the Baftas with just her friends.

I'm saying all of this while really liking what I know of Lou. You can like someone and still say you don't like an outfit.

Just like you can like the podcast and not like every guest they have on.

Or that I love Rob but sometimes can find him annoying. Or Josh can be annoying. It doesn't take away from the overall enjoyment of them.

Kiri is one of the best people. She’s so humble and kind hearted. She does loads with charities - especially local to her. She’s really passionate about being Welsh - her heritage and culture. And she’s smart and funny!
I usually skip lots of guest eps but was so glad when I saw a post on the AKNF fb group that’s she was on. It’s such a different take on parenting.
I do think Rob especially struggled with ‘woman in her 30s doesn’t want children’ but it was a good and informative chat.
Yes I really felt this, it felt quite patronising when he said something along the lines of "you weren't very confident that you could cope having your own children but you proved you could" and she just politely shut him down 🤣
I don't think he can understand anyone not wanting to follow a traditional path.

We must be able to work it out! Someone with c.250k followers, known enough that Lou recognised her (maybe Lou follows her?) and filmed kids in blue water changing rooms recently. I’ll be back in a few hours haha

Rob is definitely the more straightforward, stupid nickname, take the piss out of what you are wearing, stag do humour guy.

Not a bad thing & obviously more to him but that’s his role.

Josh is the quieter, bookish, more intellectual guy. Likewise not always but yeah.

We all recognise them from school.

As a two on a podcast, of course Rob will be louder.

The dynamic works but yeah sometimes you just want to hear Josh more.

I didn’t enjoy the Janine Harouni episode one bit. Never heard of her but nope, wasn’t keen! Wonder who tomorrow’s guest is as they say it’s a good one!
Same, I think they made the best of it but she was giving mean girl vibes like she didn't want to be there. Not a fan

I just found Russell Kane incredibly dull and self righteous both times he’s been on.

The ‘worst guest’ they allude to they have commented as being someone who didn’t actually seem to do a lot of parenting. Russell’s approach might not be for everyone, but I don’t think he could be accused of not being an active parent.

I absolutely loved this episode. I hope she succeeds in generating lots of interest in fostering as the work foster parents do is so needed (and so poorly recognised financially and otherwise).

Just don’t understand why he’s done it. The tour has sold out instantly, he doesn’t need the publicity!

I think Rob’s been doing so well and might be slightly overexposed at the moment. There’s also a tipping point where people seem to want people (particularly people from working class backgrounds) to do well but not TOO well. I don’t feel that way. Go get it Rob! Make as much as you can. Why not. Not everyone had to like it.

However on the talking over Josh- I actually do agree with this. I feel like there’s been a bit of a lack of Josh on the pod recently. I was listening the other day and was thinking I’m not sure he’s fully engaged in it anymore

I really hope they lay off all the chat about what they are or aren’t eating and how much they’re working out. Nothing more dull than that.

I didn’t mind Luisa at all, and didn’t think she was that outlandish in her views.

the whole rubbishing of work within the arts was a bit of an odd choice, but other than that she wasn’t out there.
Do you not think it was also a bit bizarre to spout off about being an anti breastfeeding activist or whatever rubbish she said? Imagine if someone said that about formula feeding the mum shaming police would be out in full force. Just seemed like a wild choice for a guest when they've had so many guests on who have spoken about these kinds of topics before but respectfully and generally the vibe is quite light. This one just felt like a nasty girl given a microphone.

Id enjoy regular "friends of the podcast" couple updates. Isy Suttie and Elis James, Peter and Abbey Crouch, the Buckleys. That kind of vibe.

Anyone but the Ramseys though.
Yesss this!! Ivo hasn't been on since lockdown days.. so many of them haven't. Some have multiple kids now.. catch up EPs are what's I'd be interested in rather than fucking boxers or randoms.

Russell Kane is so obnoxious. He clearly thinks he’s sooo much more intelligent than all the other parents, with his stupid impressions of them. He’s read one book and then is spouting about it like he wrote the book and like it will solve all parenting problems.
Believe it or not children are actual people. It’s not like you can do a load of research and solve the riddle and then tell all the silly minions, who aren’t as clever as you, what the answer is.

Josh is actually coming to my little town. We have a decent theatre built in the last decade and it’s starting to attract some great acts. Got Nish kumar tickets this year and Nick Mohammed for next year. Might as well get Josh for 2026 😂

I've finally listened to the Lily Allen ep, it was really good. I would be tempted to read her autobiography now
