Glad others agree about Drake

Hate Rod Stewart’s voice too and Jess Glynne

Probably because her mum's in the record industry. I agree, she's painful to listen to and not a nice person by all accounts. She seems to have been reduced to performing gigs after the races now, along with Kaiser Chiefs, Olly Murs and Rag & Bone Man (what happened to him, he was the Emeli Sande of 2017?).
I did not know that! That explains a hell of a lot.

Forgot Guns n Roses. His voice is terrible and he's also a terrible person. Their whole sound and look has dated very badly.

I read somewhere that RHCP are considered a bit of a joke band in America but they managed to do well over here (particularly in the early 00's). Not sure how true that is though.
I've heard that too. They do seem to get a lot more love in Europe than in the US. I'm not a fan of slap bass. I liked the By The Way album, but it seems a bit dated now.

I don't know if she counts as overrated but I don't know how Jess Glynne keeps getting booked. Her voice is so profoundly unpleasant to listen to.
I've had the misfortune of seeing Jess Glynne live twice.

I've never liked her... My mum just dragged me along because she loves her

First person to come to mind is motherfucking DRAKE. He’s the rapper for people who don’t like rap music.
I have no idea why Drake is lord and saviour amongst young guys.
I'd struggle to differentiate most of his songs.

Yes. Years ago I read in NME they struggled with the american market because guns n roses and nirvana were blowing everyone away over there.

The Rolling Stones are the most overrated band in the history of popular music.
Nooooooooooo! Not the Greatest Rock n Roll band of all time, I was so jealous of my grandad for seeing them in the 60s and 70s.
That award goes to the Beatles and Queen. :)

Don't understand the ' musical genius' status with these
Eric Clapton
Jay Z
Bob Dylan
Beyonce
Lady Gaga
Red Hot Chilli Peppers
The Ramones

At best, wedding singers, at worse, pub karaoke
Dua Lipa
Sam Smith
Ed Sheeran
Harry Styles
Rita Ora
Shakira
Selena Gomez
Lewis Capaldi
Ellie Goulding
Jennifer Lopez
I am totally biased because Bob Dylan is my all time idol. And i love his voice as well as his song writing skills. His legendary status stems from the sheer number of amazing albums he put out one after another, especially in the mid 60's. He was a folk singer who achieved more than anyone, then he went and did it all again when he went electric. Plus Blood on the Tracks is one hell of an album, but in my extremely biased opinion every album he has is like a greatest hits album to me. In 100 years time i reckon people will still be talking about Dylan, and in my biased opinion no one has ever or ever will come close to him in terms of song writing. He is shit live though!! We couldnt understand a word he was singing, but he is 81.
I also love Eric Clapton, but i think its because my dad did so thats what i listened to. I prefer Derek and the Dominoes rather than Cream though.

I think the frequent on-stage nakedness/sock photo made a lot of people doubt their credibility as well.

The Weeknd (had potential but is just so basic and overexposed now)
Dave I find a bit cringe, especially now the Guardian are obsessed with him
Kings of Leon
Arctic Monkeys
Kasabian

My people!!!

My overrated list covers a lot already on here, but I would add:
Billie Eilish
Harry Styles
Lana Del Ray
The 1975
Shawn Mendes
Post Malone
Doja Cat
Lil Nas X
Bad Bunny
The Beatles
Elvis
Michael Jackson
RHCP
U2

I would switch radio stations/put my headphones on to avoid all of these artists. for balance, I think Frank Turner, Grace Petrie, Jim Lockey & The Solemn Sun, Frightened Rabbit, Will Varley & China Bears are all criminally underrated, I don't just hate all music ;P
