In the 911 call they mention their concerns about the balcony as being the reason they called. I actually thought the hotel dealt with it really well to make that call. People always want someone to blame

I do find it so alarming how the photos paint a different picture to the info we've been given so far. He sounded like a man on the verge but all his movement in the hour before looks calm and normal.

The amount of conspiracy theories I’ve heard over the hotel mentioning the balcony. The amount of balcony deaths there are, of course they’re going to be worried that he’s going to fall off or jump off. The fact that people are finding it suspicious baffles me

The sad reality is something like this was bound to happen. I remember commenting time and time again on here about louis and Liam. While the other 3 have achieved a level of success they are happy with, I've always thought Louis and Liam hadn't. I was concerned for Louis when the reports of him having to drink before gigs and smashing hotel rooms came out. I do think Louis is in a better place in his life now after his second album and tour, and has accepted that the band isnt coming back. I think this situation will bring him closer to Zayn and in a way will help him heal knowing that was one of his mums final wishes

Liam has just spiralled for the past couple of years. Reports of drugs, cheating, abusing people, constantly reminiscing about the band to the point of making it his whole personality and a need for validation. There was a sense of desperation and it's sad that the witness from the hotel (daily mail) noted the same thing

I always said he should take a step back and try something else. Music wasn't working for him and it must've been difficult seeing the success the others were having. He even told Maya that he resented the success harry had, and it should be him. I feel bad for his family

The photos popped up on my Twitter feed too and it’s really disturbed me.
I thought the exact same, the man has been ripped apart by the press and social media alike and even in his unexpected, horrible death he has a camera shoved in his face.
His poor loved ones, poor Bear will likely see those photos as some point and if they’ve affected me what will they do to him, and his parents and other loved ones. It’s so sad.

Niall is very private. I’m sure that he has somewhat of a relationship with Theo, but I’m sure it’s hard when he doesn’t have a relationship with Greg. From what I’ve seen, Greg is very jealous of Niall, his recent rants on instagram live threatening to expose him and complaining about his mum throwing him out because she’s in an abusive/controlling relationship and that Niall gave her a house but told her that her partner wasn’t allowed in it but she has him over anyway. That her partner wouldn’t allow Greg to stay when he was homeless because Greg is aggressive. I think it’s clear who the problem is and it’s not Niall.

Liam will never have a solo career period. And that’s because of how shitty of a person he is, and also the decisions he’s made. He could have done so well at the start if he just made better decisions but he didn’t and that’s his own fault. Imagine going from one of the biggest bands in the world to following your ex band mates around on tour like a fan. And also you think he’d spend his free time (cause he has so much of it) spending time with his son instead of going on holidays every five minutes. I used to love Liam and I did feel bad for him for a long time but there’s no sympathy there anymore at all.

I really can’t figure Liam out! He seems very ‘unstable’ and without a real direction in life even though he has the means to get help/ start another carer, anything… it’s just sad. The new girlfriend doesn’t only cares about filming silly dances with him as well

I actually think it's a good photo on a deeper level - Liam in his happy place performing in front of an audience - and on his own too, putting all the focus on Liam and acknowledging him as an individual which it looks like he always wanted.

Precisely. It’s how the image of Liam should be remembered, not the awful pictures of his body that TMZ released.

You honestly cannot force someone into rehab/therapy or the likes.

you can reach an all time low with them and they will say yes they will get help, you can drive them to the door, get them in and talk with the therapist etc etc and then at the point where they say they don’t have a problem is when it all falls down.

Rehab and therapy only work if the addict is ready for help and freely admits to being out of control. You can shout and scream that they need help and they are ruining their life and yours and killing you. But until they actually ask for help it won’t come.

so then you leave and wait for the next time…

100% this. My dad has been going into rehab for most of life for alcohol addiction and 9/10 he falls off the wagon again, because as much as he does want the help there and then, it doesn't last. It happens time and time again. It's sad. You can have all the money in the world, all the resources there to help you but ultimately it is down to the person that is needing the help to actually want it because otherwise the cycle continues.

Sometimes when you're estranged from someone, their death hits you even harder. Harry is a sensitive soul and I'm sure he's heartbroken just like the other 1D boys. I'm sure their teams will be devising an appropriate and respectful joint response
