I See the meaning behind it and that is sad, but the video in general I just don’t like the video overall

What’s the meaning?
I saw it as a representation of the music industry and “exploitation” of an artist, in this case the mermaid or whatever we are calling it
profiting from it and dropping it when he could no longer sing/ was no longer profitable and transforming it into sushi basically.
